Yup, the Sprint Touch
The HTC Titan is CDMA as well. It's branded as the Spring Mogul, Verizon XV6800, Telus P4000, etc.
and the touch set to be released on verizon as the xv6900

Forgive me if this is blatently ovbious or under my nose, but what is the name of the CDMA flavor of the HTC Hermes?
I currently own a Verizon Wireless XV6600 which is known as the "HTC Harrier" because it is the CDMA version of the "HTC BlueAngel" which is the GSM version. Great phone! Love it to death!
I've been waiting patiently for Verizon to come out with the XV6800 because from what I can see about it, it is simply awesome over the 6600/6700. Additionally, my New-Every-Two promotion kicks in during this June. I'd love to take home a XV6800 at that time. I want to know what this phone is really called so if I have the urge to buy it branded as an HTC or other carrier, I will know it will work with the Verizon network.
Thanks in advance!
its called the titan ... not to be confused with tytn...
Thanks for that clarification.
If that's the case, then what is the difference between the HTC Hermes and the HTC TyTN?

None, Hermes is the internal name, TyTN is the sales name
Does anybody know when the HTC Titan is going to be released under any carrier?

It is NOT the same it is called the HTC p4000 or Titan, has a different chip (400mhz Qualcomm) a bigger memory, and the keyboard opens to the right, it is already out with Telus. See the link below which states it comes with WM6 but it does not, it has WM5 installed.

New Sprint Version of the HTC Touch, but its called the HTC Vogue. Pretty much identical to the HTC Touch, but its on a CDMA network.
http://www.pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=803
The only thing identical to the Touch is the way it looks.
It has a 400MHz cpu (compared to only 200MHz on the touch), 3G (EDGE only in the Touch), 256Mb ram (compared to only 128) and according to the site linked to; it'll have GPS.
This thing is everything the Touch isn't.
well, it supposedly will have the touchFLO thing, which is cool and what makes the touch the, um, touch!
the title is a tad missleading this is just an unlocked HTC for the CDMA network im pretty sure it will have Touch on it but sprint wont be releasing it within 2 months or it would have been leaked before. that and sprint just brought out the mogul and sprint isnt exactly the type of company to bring out 2 new pocket pc's so close together in the year.

Wrong, its the Touch by HTC and it will be out soon, heyitsdavis is right
Is the htc Hero (UK) and the sprint HTC Hero the same phone? from everthing that I've read and seen there not the same phone. True Or Not true
Not the same phone:
1) U.K hero has the "chin" form factor. Sprint Hero does not.
2) They operate on different frequencies and network types. U.K. hero is UMTS/HSDPA and Sprint Hero is EV-DO.
They both run Android with the HTC Sense UI and look act very similar, but are completely incompatible.
So when rooting this phone, Its not the same as the U.K. hero... So does anyone know how to root this phone?
yes...
try www.theunlockr.com
they should have video and instructions
good luck
I want to buy a cheap vogue to flash it with android

My HTC Touch is CDMA and is labeled as a Touch through Bell, and Rogers GSM Touch is also labeled Touch. I believe the vogue moniker has not been used in any marketing at all and remains an inhouse code name given to it by HTC before official release.
The code name for the GSM version is the Elf and the code name for the CDMA version is Vogue. However, under all carriers, "Touch" is used as the phone name.
This can be confusing when trying to buy one online. You have to be careful and look at the bands the radio supports to make sure you get the right one for your carrier.

skydirt is correct. when buying, you usually have to marry HTC Touch with the carrier the person says it is for. i.e. HTC Touch Sprint is the vogue aka sprint 6900, HTC Touch Verizon is the elf aka xv6900.

stand corrected, the gsm touch is the elf. verizon and sprint touch are the vogue. brain fart.
are there any means of getting this to work under gsm?? so to get it to work in the UK etc
no, it's cdma only, but the htc desire is pretty much a gsm version.
