BatteryStatus"NAG" - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

Today a nag screen from BatteryStatus started popping up on my Today screen covering almost all the screen. I removed the BS app, and re-iinstalled, but the nag still pops up. Can someone trll me how to stop this? It pops up whenever it wants...no certain time.

No this is for real! Freaked me out when it ppped up which was yesterday the 31st. Didn't think to take pics of it, and it hasn't happened yet today, the 1st. If it does pop up again, Ill take pics.

Which version are you using? If it's older than 0.05 then you need to update it anyways.
Download latest version:

Also, try the actual BatteryStatus Thread:

I have the extended version installed .1.04
The nag screen didn't say I need to update to a newer version... all it said was BS was shareware and thanking me for having the program. Hell I've had this program over a year, and never received a nag screen until yesterday. I have the extended version because of the Tray Launch option.

No Joke
I have also been running BatteryStatusExtended 1.04 and got the same pop-up screen beginning yesterday afternoon. I ended up removing it for the time being. No mention of update required.

This guy has the right idea...

Went over to the batterystatus thread myself, and the answer to your problem is, apparently, do the upgrade, even if you think you have the latest version.

I had the same problem, but it seems to disappeared now.

Yeah, I guess it was that 1 day only, coz it hasn't shown up on my 8125 since I posted this thread. Guess it's over till next year???

ota update

does anyone know when they gonna release the update ota.
sorry man, i haven't seen tmo release OTA updates for their WM devices. Most likely you'll have to download a RUU file and install it from pc.

There's an article on tmonews.com saying it's expected to drop today (5/18), but xtenpeben is right, it'll be a PC-based installer not OTA.

That update that the article was talking about was most likely the updated t-mo rom from this last week that's already been released.
Link is back up for the update for those that didn't get it the first go around.
Just remember to put "http" before the backslash since new members can't post links

Yes, it will probably just be the same one that was leaked last week...the article was just saying that Tmo would be "officially" releasing it today, and I've heard reports elsewhere that back that up.
ok,so is it worth updating to the new rom? i seened a lot of post from people talking about the problems with the new rom and rarely any positives so what do you guys think.

I'm giving it another week or two at least before I make the move. I think there's a lot of people who actually waited for the official release, so we'll start getting more feedback about it soon. You can call it "crowdsourcing the testing phase"...I'm waiting 'till I see more data
sirphunkee,im doing the same,i didnt really go through any of the issues tbat people were listing besides the data connection drop/switch(praying i don't jinx it) so it wouldn't kill me to wait a little longer, thanks for the feedback

Good idea And, if that's really the only issue you've had with the original ROM, you might be able to address it by flashing a new radio rather than a whole new ROM. I'm particularly waiting for that type of feedback on the new release...reception stability, etc.

FroYo going official

So I just got a text from a buddy of mine saying his boss's epic updated OTA to 2.2 this morning. His hasn't updated, yet, and I'm still on DK17, so mine won't. We're all in middle TN. If anyone else gets the update, chime in and let us know.
I know everyone here is tired of all the rumors. The wait may finally be over.
I live in DC, but have a Memphis number. Do you think its worth it for me to flash back to DI18 this evening? Right now I am really enjoying DK28 after getting the screen rotation fixed...
Personally, I'm going to wait until I see more people get the update. If you're happy with the rom you have, then you might as well wait, too. I want to minimize my time waiting with a stock phone.

Get your buddy to ask his boss to check his hardware version. Don't want a repeat of the .4 vs .5 issue =P
The both got their phones at the end of October, a few weeks after I got mine. I know my friend's is a .5. I'd be shocked if his boss somehow got a .4 phone.
Samsung hasn't released anything on their twitter feeds or support feeds about a ota update. They are still saying by the end of the month.

Right? I hate to get everyone's hopes up for nothing if this isn't right. If I hadn't been told by someone I trust, I wouldn't have bothered starting the thread. I'm ready for this thing to finally drop and source to come out so everyone here can get down to business.
Sad thing is, we're all so fed up with getting our hopes up that none of us are flashing back to DI18 to see if we get the update lol

I already did. I'm waiting for him to relay the request to his boss and get back to me.
edit: just got a response. He says his boss's phone has DK28 with 2.2.1. His phone hasn't updated, but he says the update check is failing for him. :-/ I wish I could see it for my own eyes instead of relying on second hand information.

So his boss was on complete stock DI18, got an update notification, updated, and now has DK28?
Also, make sure its not hardware .4, some people randomly got them from buying em at the store.

What should I do ?
If I have rooted and have customed rom ???
Can I still update without going back to 2.1 ???
Wow. There are a few people in here that haven't bothered to check the 2.2.1 OTA Staus thread or The Froyo OTA and all you need to know thread.

Oh, I see that the Sprint admin posted that.
Hopefully that is a typo and he meant 9AM. A couple people have already gotten the update.
I guess you go to about phone and update firmware and if the firmware is ready it will give it to you?
Personally I am doubting that the rumors of anyone getting the update already are true. I can't imagine that with as many people who are watching and waiting for this that nobody who is on any of these forums has gotten anything yet.
I have been sitting here toggling back and forth between forums thinking just that and then I saw the 9pm time and it all made sense.

Technically even a rooted stock sense phone should receive the update as the updater isn't turned off/removed. At least thats the way the Eris worked. Unless unrevoked somehow turns off the updater when it roots the phone which I'm not aware of.

Alot of the Dinc ROM developers did turn off the updater back when the Froyo OTA was announced due to annoying, constant pop-ups. At least I know that rmk40 did with Virtuous.
This just added over at Android Central:
"Just got word about how the over-the-air rollout's going to take place. The push is scheduled to start Tuesday, Aug. 16, with an initial 10,000 updates. Another 50,000 will get it on Wednesday, and everybody else on Friday."

If you made a backup of your phone right after you rooted and before you installed a custom ROM like I did then what I'm saying is if you restore this first backup then you should get the update.
