need your urgent help.
Atom Executive.
i had latest abusalsa's rom installed for almost 1month and everything was smooth.
yesterday the phone lost the connection with the mobile provider and started to connect via roaming (indicator Triangle for Roaming was on screen)
tried the SIM on another phone and worked.
tried another SIM on the Atom Exec and same problem.
Soft Reset
Hard Reset
Reinstalling Rom
all efforts lead to 0 result.
took off battery for couple of hours......no results.
so i tried the hard way.....pressed some buttons together and phone went into diagnostic mode and started a series of tests
Keyboard test
Serial test
Screen test
and
Flash test
all passed except from Flash test which failed.....
Flash test referrs to Flash memory?so my Flash memory is damaged?
(thats what i am thinking)
any solution on how to reboot the phone on a normal mode so i can reinstall a Rom?
plz........help ASAP........this is the 2nd day with no mobile.....no friends and family communication....u know what i mean
Did u flash the complete ROM or just the "OS and Extended ROM" part of it. If only these two then try flashing the "All" option using the Abusalza's WM 6.1.
i installed with the ''ALL'' option.
going to a friend in a couple of hours and we ll try together some flashing procedures.

my Atom Exec has a faulty antenna.we opened the device and cleaned up the antenna area.....worked for a while then didnt work again.
here in Greece i can get only HP replacement items.......and as i see from Wiki Atom Exec is the same as HP Ipaq rw6828

HP in greece refuses to order for me a new rw6828 pcb as i am not an HP customer
i am trying to find on ebay but no luck till now.....
the pcb is tottaly dismantled and i am still thinking what to do.....
i know most of you said goodbye to this model....
but if someone has access to the construction manual or so i would be happy to see it.

i am moving to the HTC touch cruise in a couple of days.
i was so disappointed from the O2 customer support.....
its been almost 2 months i have sent the email with no answer back.
O2 thumbs down for me.
i ll never buy again a product from this manufacturer.

I have reflashed the lates O2 ROM, but calls coming in to my atom exec will cause it to buzz or ring for around 3 seconds and then the call is automatically picked up! This is a good feature IF you want it at certain times, but it makes the phone unusable in a biz setting.
All software is uninstalled after the re-flash, and I even flashed the latest WM6.1 to see if that would correct the problem (off this site). No luck.
Has anyone heard of this before? Suggestions? I had a lot of SPB software and Burr Oaks Wake-up Tweak but I didn't notice this problem before I moved to a new network. The same sim works on my nokia and motorolas, so don't think sim problem.

Dear friend i got the same problem hard reset , reflash wont work. The last resort that worked for me is changing the SIM. Once i did this it worked for all the SIMS . ( I sold my Exec and the customer complained about this then i noticed the problem occur only for certains SIMs )

Ok, first of all I want to say that for years I've been reading this forum and it helped me a lot in the past, but now I have a problem I can't resolve by myself.
I have A HTC Magician PM10A that was bought many years ago in Israel from an official dealer. It worked fine back in Israel.
Now I live in Italy and the phone just doesn't find the network. Not manually, (searching and giving me an empty list), not automatically.
I tried everything. I'll write it down.
Putting back the Israeli SIM card.
Unlocking (turned out to be unlocked).
Flashing with Ctulla WM6.1 Rom (WOW!)
Flashing Radio Stacks from 1.0 to 1.13.
Flashing with Some Italian ROM (downloaded from this site).
NOTHING !
Just gives me network error, unable to register on selected network.....
But there is no network ! Just an empty list !
I wanted to install the original ROM that came with the PDA, but I don't have it.

I have the same Problem but no solution.
Well, I have sad news my friend. It's the phone module that is dead. I found another XDA II mini with broken screen, changed the antenas - nothing helped. Plus I checked it in Israel again - it's dead. Well, at least I have a really nice pda
f*** this device was awesome all the years.
Indeed it was a great device. But I checked it at my friends lab, he says that it's possible to fix it, but we have to buy some parts on ebay (i didn't really followed), and only than it might work.
It did it's job and did well. R.I.P.
btw, I am a med student, so it uses me great as a pda to all the books and other staff.

Things you should try to fix this:
Hard Resetting
Cleaning your SIM card.
Pushing the little gold connectors on the SIM slot a little bit up with a screwdriver.
Reflashing ROM.
And the last one, which fixed mine problem:
Another sim. When i tried my sim in other phones, they refused to boot, so i just tried another sim, brand new one - it worked! So ive gone to my operator to replace my SIM.
I had the same problem and accidentally fixed it.
Coulnd't get any signal after upgrading it to WinMo 6.1 ROM. I flashed it back to its original WinMo 2003 SE ROM but still couldn't received any signal.
I took SIM card out and put it in different phone (Nokia in my case). Got SIM card error massage on Nokia screen. Took it out again and cleaned it, reinserted back and it worked on Nokia. Then I was curious and tried put the SIM card back in magician. Signal was magically reappear and phone worked back to normal.
Hope this may work for you too.

as i see, many pepole have the same problem here, as i have too, for some issue no service could be found on Magician or what ever name it has, my own one worked fine for 2 years then stopped receiving service from operator, not stolen, as gift from a friend than travel too much, i give it to him to test it abroad, and it worked fine on some operator and not at all on other carrier, i have now a smartphone but can't leave it with out understanding what happend,
i have tried the last rom from cotulla,
tried rom upgrade, radio upgrade ....
finally i' got an idea, the problem apearseas i remember after switching gprs on from operation, and some times when the gprs can't be detected the divice worked fine back, and by testing, changing band and other network related stuff i finaly got a message that says to turn off the connection data to use the gsm network back,
i don't find a proper way to do it,
if some body would try this perhepse that's the real cause for this damn "No Service" message
PS, with wwe o4 from cotulla, the green light indicator blink again but the phone don't pass calls

i think it's not logique but the persone how told me that used to have the same trouble and by changing the bat every thing goes right for him

I have bad news....my new battery arrived (it is also more powerful than original 1800mAh) but phone still don't work...

Hi guys,
I need your help repairing my S100.
I was trying to sell it to a friend who would buy it if it worked with the sim card found in his Vodafone HSDPA/3G modem.Then he inserted the card, found network, then after a few minutes it performed a soft reset.
Then it said(where the rom version is)"bad radio".
Then I performed hard reset, when it said "No radio", then booted up.
Then after a few minutes, it got frozen.
Then I did a soft reset and got a red message"bad radio" and it won't boot.
It only boots up after hard reset, then it can be used as a PDA for a few minutes.Then freezes, then it will not boot again until the next hard reset.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem - tried to use different sim cards and different ROM's and nothing - no service at all - the phone just give an error :/ any idea's how to repair it ?

I had the same problem and accidentally fixed it.
Perhaps I was just lucky, but why not try switching to different SIM card, cleaning it, put it on different mobile phone, and put it back on magician.

Im at a lost when i "reset factory settings" on original Hp Wm6.0 and somehow my radio network "kapoof" no longer there...... Did any one of you had this problem b4, i wonder ? I went to Hp service centre in Sg but the phone was out of warranty and i was pissed when they only quoted me to replace the phone instead of remedy my network problems...
Wifi,bluetooth,gps on this 612c etc works wonderously. Could this be a ripped off from the service centre to get me to pay for my iching fingers ?
I had this same problem with my O2 atom life, i reflash with Wm5 and it works and i am happy that those blood suckers servicemen did not get my money then. I ha reflashed to Wm6 and now "MWG Wm6.5" then and it has been working in perfect condition except for the bluetooth on he atom which i dont border..... my main concern here is this half bricked 612c.
Is there any ShiFu "Master" here could tickle me to the site or a link to re-encode and load the radio signal which was lost during the reset of factory settings, i will be very gradfully to donate couple of "beers".......... Cheers to all the Shifu here, keep up the good work...........

I tried also changing simcards,overseas simcard,unlisted simcard and still "NO NETWORK"
Surely there must be some flashing of the radiofirmware-rom or something like that ? isn't it, MASTER ?
Definately Hardware i am sure has nothing wrong..... bcos i had opened up the phone, check all the attenna contacts but still no network........ grrrrrr !!!

O2 MWG Atom Life, Flashed with 6.5 with some bugs with bluetooth but doesn't matter.
Nokia 6220 classic. perfect working conditons.
PS. if you need any help from my working phones, let me know but i am just a beginner, you need to give me good instructions like how to backup safety. I'm into repairing computers,hardware and software so i'm willing and maybe able to help some of you guys who brick yours

I should kick whoever made these freaking problem with my network locked So, the problem with my IPAQ was that my IP lock the phone which i was unaware of it........

Which FW and OS have you installed ? There's a WM 6.1 upgrade on HP's site (sp40097.exe) ....

I was on a cal and suddenly it ended up.then i saw tat thr was no network.dono y all of a sudden my network went down.thn restarted the phone many times and stil the status shows as 'Phone Off'......after tat i had hard resetted the phone.stil my phone does not recognize the network signals..i dono wat to do.is it any hardware problem in my phone or i hav to do anything with internal softwares....

perhaps somebody can help me, too. I've similar the same problem like Sridhar Rajan. My network signal lost the most time.
I bought my I8000 (second hand) by the net a few month ago. First time I think everything is o.k. till I recognized that nobody call me. The look on the phone, let me see that I have no network signal most time at different places outside and inside.
So I take a e-mail to the Samsung-Support. They communicate me that I take a Full reset with the *2767*3855# Code. So I do so, but nothing happens. At the second time I give it to the Service-Center in my town. After 2 month it came back to me, not repaired with the notice that the phone comes from Malaysia and Samsung give no garanty in such a fall. I take another try an send it to another Service of Samsung. 2 weeks later it comes back with the notice, not repaired because the phone is not for the european market.
I read a lot of threads in many foren, but the right answer for my problem i didn't found. I read that somebody change the mainboard and everything was o.k. Somebody use the wrong hole on the phone for reset and damaged the antenna. Perhaps the old owner do so, but now I have change the antenna to a new one and it's not better.
I flash the Software/Firmware from WM 6.5 (so I bought it) to WM 6.1, to Android Froyo an at this time to WM 6.5.3.
The first Software was I8000NXXIJ9 (WM 6.5), than I8000NXXJJ1 (WM 6.5) (latest for the european market), than I8000XXIH5 (WM 6.1) and today the I8000NXXJE1 (WM 6.5.3).
At this time I didn't now, what I can do also.
What is the different for a phone which ist for the european market and which not. I think it is a Quad-Band-Phone which worked at the most places in the world.
