cancel bluetooth pairing code request

Been testing on O2 EXEC
How do I cancel the bluetooth pairing code request everytime I tried to pair a device( happen on bluetooth HID mouse always)
Eventhough unchecked the passkey require box in the menu...
The code request still pop up!
Strange thing is, same device pair with laptop doesn't require passkey at all... and the munual for the device didn't say anything about the code at all...
Tried the default code "0000"(not sure, manual didn't say)...
Anyone have any idea of this?
Or anyone does know how to edit the registry to cancel the pairing code request?

You did'nt reply, so just in case you didn't check that thread again for a possible answer to your previous question, I thought I'd ask you in this one.
I'm quite intrigued aswell. I know we all only have two more weeks to go until the official launch, but If you would be as kind as to share your experience in getting a pre-release model, I'm sure we'd all be grateful! Cheers

i got this device from my friend in Taiwan...
Not the officail one...
he is an engineer from HTC...
guess that will be the only adcvantage to be Taiwanese..

it came with the WEE rom and i flash it with CHT rom..
i knew that everyone is expecting this....only to EXEC
becase of the outstanding colour.....
eventhough there will be a DOPOD 900 release in Taiwan...
I'd still like EXEC...

Just a thought, if your friend is an engineer on these things, wonder if he can give us all some answers to some of the problems we're all encountering. What I'm really saying is; even though his direct line of work may not require him having all the techie-knowledge for the software problems we're having......but if someone on this forum would for example compile a short but concise list of major issues with the Universal, would he be prepared to try and get some answers from his fellow engineers who may know? A kind of informal, one-off technical support thing?
Would you ask him? or is that asking too much?

Can you tell me how you flush with CHT ROM , do you had Dopod 900 CHT ROM ? it ship.exe or dump rom ? thanks

I have the same problem or similar - I can pair with a device without entering a passcode and with authentication turned off but the window keeps popping up asking for a passcode.
Can anyone help?

things tried :
hard reset (yes left it to load all the O2 junk) still not working
O2_UK.cab from my Himalaya (which works fine on XDAII) downloaded from here ages ago.....no joy there either - do i need a different .cab?
manual settings from O2 website...nope!
anything daft that i have missed? i got this for the wife and its making me look silly :?
why couldnt she just get an XDAII!!! i can get that to work
from what i have read on here by reloading all the O2 rubbish after a hard reset it should have set up the GPRS and MMS but as it hasnt i am wondering if i may have been unlucky and got a corrupted extrom from new? i think it unlikely but O2 havnt registered the IMIE yet for me to be able to download the OS from their website or i would try reloading it.
please tell me i am missing something stupid or i will have to admit defeat and take it back to the shop! :roll:
ohh should add this is an O2 branded XDA mini with WM 2005, i never got MMS to work with WM5 on my XDAII but i figured as this was an official release that MMS "should" work out the box.....was i wrong? do i need to use a work around?

if there is anyone out there with an o2 uk mini that can confirm that the default from a hard reset gives working MMS with no other user changes then i will at least know that i have a faulty unit/ROM

Sounds weird, if you have installed all the O2 cabs after a hard reset and it is still not working. In Start-Settings-Connections if you click on Manage existing connections for My Work do you see o2 Active? If that is there, and the settings are present in MMS settings on Pocket Outlook, it should be sending. If not, have you tried reflashing with the launch ROM from the my-xda.com website? It's exactly the same ROM as should be one, but maybe your Extended ROM is misisng something? Sorry I can't be more help, hope you get it sorted.

all the settings are there and yes i have reloaded all the O2 active junk from a hard reset.
unfortunately as i only bought the phone yesterday the IMIE isn't yet registered with O2 so a cant download the ROM yet :roll:

ok here is the update - and the solution :lol:
1st i got the rom using the IMIE from my phone (they only check the IMIE matches the phone no. - not that it is the correct model)
re flashed the ROM - still no MMS :twisted:
thought for a minute then swapped SIM's and guess what, the plonkers at O2 have for some reason disabled MMS/Data on my wifes SIM!
so for anyone who gets a similar issue call your service provider and make sure the data service has been enabled! - though you might have expected them to have checked that when i first called them with MMS problems yesterday :evil:

D'oh! Oh well at least you know it's not your phone and its easily solved.

well i can't believe they (O2) did this, i went through all this when i took out the contract a year ago so i know it was working before the upgrade so they actually disabled this when i upgraded!
its not like you might wand a data service with a device like the wizzard, is it :roll:

Total Noob wants a Trinity, Advice on Changing Language & WM6 ROM Flashing

Hi All,
Brand new here so a big hello to you all handshakes and hugs as appropriate .
Now down to business. I have been reading in a fashion anyways as I am registered blind, but still have a huge intrest in technology and in particular that which aids the visually impaired in their quest for independance.
So to get my own independance I am looking to get a Trinity, I live in the UK and well the £400 price tag is making me wince, so me being me got in contact with my Chinese friend and got him to find me one at £250 which I can afford. So in that lies the first question I have been unable to answer while trawling the web.
1. Is it possible to flash the phone/pda with an English version of the HTC P3600 ROM
2. Is the lower level ROM i.e. the bootloader etc in need of a flash seeing as the phone is for the Chinese market.
3. Do you have to flash the phone to an stock english ROM before you attempt to move up to WM6?
What I really want to know is that I can Englishafy the phone. As far as I know the phone is comming to me unlocked with WM5 on it.
Phew well I hope all the answers are yes and it is possible as I really need a new phone after my Sony Erricson p800 finally died after seven years of service when my dad dropped it .

HTC Hermes-My bad luck or what?

Hi guys its been 3months now since I bought this device called Orange SPV 3100[HTC Hermes]. Since then my struggle to keep it working all the time started. I love installing apps/games & moreover the educative apps the most. I never tried to tweak much with my device as I never had time to do this. I am using SKTools retail to keep my device healthy. But I don't know after such a short period of time I am feeling so irritated with this device, I am using WM5 official ROM of Orange. Its been 4 times in the entire period that I hard reset my device to set it right but again after 1 week I don't know what happens with it,that it always starts giving me one or other problems like- short battery life, hang[most of the time I have to soft reset my device,normally 20 times a day] I do some important work of mine & the next time it stops working as if there is something very heavy going on inside the RAM. Now after 4th hard reset I tried to set everything right but of no avail, I tried using task switcher of different brands in order to have some sort of task management, but again this stupid device not allowing any of these task managers to work. What should I do avoid such hangups, crashes, less battery life? What is the answer? does it lies somewhere in changing the device or changing the OS to WM6 as been claimed by many. I need Your reply seniors I really bought this device to be a part of Forum.Xda-developers family, but now I am so sad with my experience that sometimes I regret my decision of buying a PPC device when I have lot of important works to do[I am an attorney] Seniors, technicians I Urge You to look in to this matter as an urgency otherwise it will be a last week of this device with me.

I think I can feel your pain. I had a Dopod 838 pro (aka Hermes).
But you've already mentioned the source of your problem: you're still using WM5 on your Hermes (???). Even now, there are still people who have not flashed the latest official WM6 ROMS?
Why don't you download the official ROM from the HTC or dopod website and take the time to flash it to your device...
I flashed mine, and the number of times I had to soft-reset the device in a week I can count on three fingers. (of course, I will soft-reset everytime I do a backup, but never mind that). It turned out to be the BEST phone/PDA I have ever had in over 10 years.
The ONLY reason I switched to TyTN II Kaiser is coz I found I needed more RAM for applications (due to my work. I'm an FX trader and part-time real estate speculator). Otherwise, for normal usage (PIMs, contact management, Internet, messaging, phonecalls), I think I would have stuck with the Dopod for a very long time..
The only tweakers I used were SKTools and Memmaid (I'm still using them). You say you never tried to tweak coz you don't have the time? I'm afraid you better find the time, friend. One Saturday evening is all you need to go thru the settings.
For me, I think it's worth the trouble, considering what the Hermes is capable of helping me to do.
As a starting point, you can go back to your vendor who should be knowledgeable enough to assist with the tweaks. Or you can try browsing thru my bookmarks here:

So friends, the answer lies in WM6? Can I use the WM6 posted here in the upgrading section in my Orange SPV 3100? No seniors here, I don't expect this from Forum.xda developers seniors. Plz seniors this could be last time I am posting here in this forum if no help will come through. Help me seniors..

Hmm... is the device locked to Orange? Locked phones can't use the official "generic" ROM from the Dopod/HTC website?
Hope y'all will excuse my ignorance in this. My old Dopod 838 pro wasn't locked to Maxis (my provider). I downloaded my SEA-version WM6 upgrade from the HTC website. (surely there is an Indian version?)

Guys I just installed Black Magic WM6 few days back with radio version 1.40. I am very happy now with my cellphone. Really there is a lot of change in WM5 & WM6, which I couldn't fathom. Thanx everybody for Your support. I would suggest anybody facing such problems to plz upgrade their machine. Highly recommended with mrvanx.org help guide. Guys can You plz help me in finding the right version of radio. I mean I am using 1.40 is there any new version for my HTC TyTn device. it would be great...

I couldn't imagine using WM5 ever again. It would be like reverting back to dial up.

i had latest abusalsa's rom installed for almost 1month and everything was smooth.
yesterday the phone lost the connection with the mobile provider and started to connect via roaming (indicator Triangle for Roaming was on screen)
tried the SIM on another phone and worked.
tried another SIM on the Atom Exec and same problem.
Soft Reset
Hard Reset
Reinstalling Rom
all efforts lead to 0 result.
took off battery for couple of hours......no results.
so i tried the hard way.....pressed some buttons together and phone went into diagnostic mode and started a series of tests
Keyboard test
Serial test
Screen test
and
Flash test
all passed except from Flash test which failed.....
Flash test referrs to Flash memory?so my Flash memory is damaged?
(thats what i am thinking)
any solution on how to reboot the phone on a normal mode so i can reinstall a Rom?
plz........help ASAP........this is the 2nd day with no mobile.....no friends and family communication....u know what i mean

Did u flash the complete ROM or just the "OS and Extended ROM" part of it. If only these two then try flashing the "All" option using the Abusalza's WM 6.1.

i installed with the ''ALL'' option.
going to a friend in a couple of hours and we ll try together some flashing procedures.

my Atom Exec has a faulty antenna.we opened the device and cleaned up the antenna area.....worked for a while then didnt work again.
here in Greece i can get only HP replacement items.......and as i see from Wiki Atom Exec is the same as HP Ipaq rw6828

HP in greece refuses to order for me a new rw6828 pcb as i am not an HP customer
i am trying to find on ebay but no luck till now.....
the pcb is tottaly dismantled and i am still thinking what to do.....
i know most of you said goodbye to this model....
but if someone has access to the construction manual or so i would be happy to see it.

i was so disappointed from the O2 customer support.....
its been almost 2 months i have sent the email with no answer back.
O2 thumbs down for me.
i ll never buy again a product from this manufacturer.
