Hello all,
XDA Rocks! I have a HUGE learning curve still ahead of me...but thanks to XDA I'm learning much faster than anticipated.
My question is this:
-Can I get mp3 files to play via bluetooth from my cingular 8125 through my lexus dvd nav system? I'm thinking about doing the a2dp cab install but would like your thoughts before possibly screwing up two pieces of expensive machinery
-If not, is there hardware that I can use to connect my cingular 8125 to my dvd nav system in the lexus?
Does anyone have ideas or have had experience?
Thanks
Hi, jus got my new T-mobile Vario 2 , this is my second post and i am sorry to sound like such a noob! Isit possible to connect to my laptop an sync my device via the inbuilt bluetooth on my laptop! also does anyone rate the i-mate jasjam rom? t-mobile one seems ok for now!
Hi @zReAl_uK
I messed around with Active Sync on my Vario II for a while to get it to work. Couple of things I discovered:
1) the ActiveSync version on the T-Mobile CD wouldn't work, I needed to upgrade it to 4.2
2) the Bluetooth sync doesn't sync files - only mail/contacts info, so i actually found the USB connection more straightforward (besides by mail/contacts are always synched using DirectPush)

Anyone know why the Cingular 8525 doesn't currently support the Nokia BH800 bluetooth headset, and when there may be a software update that will fix this?
Is this a problem with all versions of this phone, or just the Cingular one?
i also have the Nokia BH800 (cute headset) and it doesnt wrk properly with my jasjam. The mic is really low, sound is really low, doesnt support handsfree profile (only headset). It is quite strange because on my wife's nokia n73 it works like a charm with all the profiles and redirects all sound to it, even with tomtom nav 6 on her mobile.
Dont know how to help you as I am in the same boat. anyone else have the BH800?
I have the BH800- works absolutely fine with my TyTn using the latest firmware (on the Tytn, not the headset!).
Do we know that the Cingular 8525 will not work with the BH-800 by experience or by heresay??
I had the TyTn for a brief period of time, trialed the JasJam, and now have the 8525 -- thus far the 8525 has proved to have the most stable firmware, better radio, etc. so I can't imagine the Bluetooth being behind.
I just received my 8525 from premiere and it came with a small flyer that reads
The Nokia BH800 and Motorola H670 bluetooth headsets are not compatible with the Cingular 8525 and Cingular 8500 at this time. Compatibility with these headsets will be available via software download in the near future.
help!!

I think I'm ready to buy a Hermes. I live in a city where Cingular has UMTS up and running. I'm trying to decided if I should buy the 8525 or get one of the other versions of the Hermes.
Are there any benefits from buying a TyTn, Trion, or one of the other Hermes versions other than the forward facing video camera?
I know that some early TyTn's had screen alignment problems and there still exists some bluetooth A2DP, activation by MS VC, and other problems.
I currently own a Wizard and am running Farias AKU 3.3 on it. Everything works splendidly except that Edge internet speeds are driving me crazy.
I'm half wanting to wait until the issues are more fixed or until the Kaiser (xv6800) comes out.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciate.
I have a wizard and an old alpine, both running fine on my wi-fi network.
I've got the wizard to work as a webcam and I can see it fine on my PC screen.
Is there anyway to stream the wiazrd webcam to my alpine screen?
Thanks
