Hi, jus got my new T-mobile Vario 2 , this is my second post and i am sorry to sound like such a noob! Isit possible to connect to my laptop an sync my device via the inbuilt bluetooth on my laptop! also does anyone rate the i-mate jasjam rom? t-mobile one seems ok for now!
Hi @zReAl_uK
I messed around with Active Sync on my Vario II for a while to get it to work. Couple of things I discovered:
1) the ActiveSync version on the T-Mobile CD wouldn't work, I needed to upgrade it to 4.2
2) the Bluetooth sync doesn't sync files - only mail/contacts info, so i actually found the USB connection more straightforward (besides by mail/contacts are always synched using DirectPush)

Hi there people,
I know I saw a post earlier about this but it didn't help my problem so far. By the way, i'm using a bluetooth from Belkin (for my laptop) which uses Widcomm stack protocols. And I haven't tweaked my XDA II so its still using the default bluetooth stack.
My problem is this, about a week ago, I can syncronize using ActiveSync via the cradle and bluetooth.. everything has worked fine ever since I got the device (which is over a month or two).. But starting yesterday, I'm having problems connection to ActiveSync via bluetooth. All the display is saying is "Connecting to Host".
I've already tried, re-installing, un-installing both the bluetooth driver (on the laptop) and ActiveSync 3.7. But I've already wasted my whole day today but I still can't synchronize. Has anybody out there knows a solution other than hard-resetting the whole XDA II???
I hope somebody could help me on this.
Anyway, thanks in advance for those who can help me...

Thanks for the help but still did not work... I can connect via bluetooth... my xda2 and my laptop can authenticate each other... it's just the stupid activesync not working... arghhhh... i'm almost in the brink for resetting the whole d**m thing....
Now even using the cradle keeps getting Unresolved Items... time for backup and restore
some peoples problems with activesync is solved by removing the connection and letting it reconnect
also i believe there is a activesync 3.71

I'm having the same problem, however mine has never synced via bluetooth. I can get both the desktop and the phone to add each other to the bonded list, but can never get either one to see the other once I have gone through the process of adding them to the bonded list.
Hi all,
I have a T-Mobile (UK) MDA which I have BigStored - the result is great - apart from the fact that I no longer seem to be able to setup activesync over bluetooth. I no longer have the "Activesync" button on my bluetooth setup screen - anyone got any ideas? Please!
Martin
Sorry - ignore this - my bad! I was looking in the wrong place - had forgotten that the bluetooth active sync setup is in Settings->System->Bluetooth NOT Settings->Connections->Bluetooth...

Hi. I am a newbie. Received a new Jamin yesterday to replace an imate PDA2. Works great so far. Only 2 problems.
I use Avantgo and previously synced successfully with Activesync 4.1 from my PDA2. However, although Avantgo is correctly set up and I can sync from the Jamin itself when it is in the cradle, I cannot get Activsync to sync automatically on connection. Would appreciate any suggestions. It worked fine with the PDA2 so do not understand why not.
All my old software works with WM 5 except that I use Worldmate Standard Edition. Activsync does not sync and the program itself will not open. I am presuming it is not able to cope with WM 5 but would like to know if others have used successfully.
Thanks for the help.
Hi there,
This is regarding an MDA compact II with Windows mobile v 5.0 OS 5.1.70 and processor OMAP850-195MHZ. I connected my phone using USB cable with my friend's computer and my friend uses an XDA executive by O2 and he had already synchronized his phone with his PC. The problem is that my MDA has lost all the sounds ever since.
I tried to sync my phone to his computer using Active Sync and i did get sound back alongwith all his information and software, but the moment i deleted a few of his contacts from my phone i lost the sound again.
After this I have synchronized the phone to my Pc which had the original settings but it didn't help. I also did 'Clear Storage' to get back to factory settings, I lost all my information but still haven't got the sound back.
Can anybody help me with this. Thanks in advance.
Cheers!
Hi guys,
I am trying now for days to sat up a bluetooth-connection, so to get ActiveSync to work with my TYTN/ O² XDA Trion, but somehow it doesn´t work.
My Sony SZ-250C /P uses a Toshiba BT-Stack.
Might that be the problem?
The Stack notices the O² XDA Trion as a modem, I can connect it via a COM-Port, too, means I can send stuff, but ActiveSync doesn´t work.
Actually the O² XDA Trion has only two free ports?
Port 0 and 9?
That are the only ones I can select in the Receiving and sending Ports (dunno the right name for your english device) and the don´t get noticed by ActiveSync. Those ports are also added by me in the Port-List of the Toshiba Stack.
Does anybody have an idea?
It would be really appreciated.
Same problem with bluetooth
Hello, I have the same problem. I could do it only one time, but after or the TYTN find only a com port and not an activesync server, or the connection do not work at all
did you find a solution ??
regards
