Pocket Mechanic removed voice command from registry - Wing, P4350 General

Yesterday -- after getting my Wing just as I like it -- I installed the Pocket Mechanic trial. Curiosity got the better of me and I ran it's registry cleanup option. When it asked, "do you want to delete these entries?" like a fool and complete noob I clicked "yes."
Now my voice command doesn't function, with a popup that says "voice command has encountered a problem ...." I'm sure when I deleted the registry entries there were a bunch of "sapi" ones -- voice command. Oops.
Anything I can do to restore it??

You may have to reinstall it. What voice command was it? Microsoft Voice Command 1.6?

Yes, its v1.6.17740, and I would reinstall it, I'm running Win Mobile 6 -- doesn't it have voice command in ROM?

Really late, but ....
Hey, after deep digging I found a .reg file that did the magic on my Wing! The problem is that the file has some syntax error and I don't know how to correct them, so I had to write every single key and value manually. And It started Working again!!!
Here's a link to the file

Problem installing Smart Dialing

Hi, i'm from Spain (I don't speak english very well) and i've got a problem with my Imate Jam. After a Hard Reset, Smart dialing and other aplications didnt install. Then i tried to install Smart Dialing with a .cab file but i get the following error: The file \windows\iacontacts.dll are used or in ROM.
I tried to install it at the begining, but i get the same error.
can anybody help me please?
Thank you
nobody? I need to do a hard reset?
thanks
Hi, the messega that "\windows\iacontacts.dll is in use" indicates that the program is already installed and running. If not you can try the following:
- download memmaid (http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=14279)
- install it, it offers control of autostart programs and services
- find and disable the entry that corresponds too iacontacts.dll
- soft reset and install
Or you can do (prolly easier):
- use a file manager to go into the windows dir and find that iacontacts.dll (prolly hidden so use something like Resco Explorer to see hidden files)
- you wont be able to delete it and you should not do it anyway
- but you can rename it to something like iacontactsold.dll
- softreset and install the cab file, it will not bother you now because the dll has not been loaded because it has not been found (you renamed it)
- you can then go into the win dir and should find your renamed dll as well as a new iacontacts.dll, delete your renamed one now
By the way: May I ask what Smart Dialling does anyway? I've not figured that out yet. Its installed on my S110 and I have options for that in the phone tool but no idea what it actually does or how it behaves when it is not installed.
Thank u very much! I followed the second way and i get it
With Smart Dialing for example: To call "Churri" (my girlfriend) you can write 248774 instead of 222-44-88-777-777-444. To find a number for example 99565856, you write 995 and Smart dialing find it automatically.
Thank you very much
Ah ok so you can use fragments of numbers until the right ones are picked out. Pretty neat. I'm happy it worked for you.

Voice command will not work on Jasjar

I bought a Jasjar today and tried to load Voice command, it stops after it loads (installs) it doesn't freeze the Jasjar it just sits at the final step of install, I have to reset it and then to find that its there and you can turn it on or when you reset it says "Voice Command is ready" then a screen pops up and reads "Unable to start Voice Command. Reinstall and try again".
I noted that when I am installing it a window pops up and reads "You have chosen to install voice command to "". Installation to Main Memory is recommended. Continue anyway" I can only press YES as if I press no it cancels the install. What is "". it should be main memory.
I have tried searching to have no luck, I did find a mention of a problem but no solution.
Any help would be awesome. Thanks.
Seal, have you tried to use the latest ROM from the Clubimate site. Looks like your ROM may be corrupted (which can happen)
I have the lastest from what I can tell, I only got the phone today and went and registered, the rom I have is: 1.13.53 WWE Rom date 23/9/05
And thanks for the help
I fully reinstalled the rom and tried again with Voice command install and still the same problem, installs but doesn't work.
Any help please
It works for me, even with the error message you describe. But you cannot see contacts, and it does slow down the universal a good deal. I've removed it and got a snappy universal
it just seems really strange being a microsft product, I had an xda 11 before with WM2005 and VC worked fine, everyone else seems to have it though, why does theres work and not on mine.
@Seal, sorry mate I am confusing Voice Command and Voice Dial (I am new to WM5/PPC). I have not tried Voice Command (which I assume is to enable functions to be run on the JJ via voice control).
Tried everything and can't get it working, I also have a copy of the UK Version and it installs and works, why it works and the US version doesn't I don't know. BUT........in the UK version I can use all the functions except when you say "Call John on mobile" or anyone in your contacts and it opens the contact file and confirms the name before calling, the contact file is blank, the same happens when you just use VC to look up a contact, I say "Look up John" the contact screen pops up but it is blank but if you click on the notes tab the notes in the contact files are there, its just the main contact file that is blank.
Any help
Which version of VC are you using?
v1.504333.21 This is the UK Version
I check for update and it took me to the Microsoft Website and said that I had the lastest version

Voice Cammander! gone?

After the new Rom installed, I can't find the voice commander prog. Is it gone and must I reinstall it? I appreciate any help. If it's been deleted by mistake, how can i recover it?
Thanks for your help.
Should still be there. Mine is still there after the flash
Voice Commander
The Cyberon VoiceCommander (dreadful thing as far as I am concerned) is installed in the Ext ROM. If you cancel the installation of the Ext ROM before it completes you won't have it there. You aren't missing much. I have installed the Microsoft Voice Command 1.6, and apart from the fact that it won't read back commands over the BT earpiece (same problem as Hermes apparently), it is 1000% better than the Cyberon Program.
I am having the same problem.
It won't read back commands over the BT earpiece. This is really annoying...
Any solution yet ?

is there any way to use voice command with BT headset?

i tried googling for that, but the only thing i got lead me to a registry key not present on my device ...lol
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\Path
i cant fint "path"
can anybody help me?
just create it!
i tried creating it, but nothing. i have voice command 1.6

Problem with wmwr_cprog

Hi,
After a hard-reset I found wmwr_cprog.exe on my internal storage under programmes. Since I did a hard reset and thus thought this program wouldnt be installed anymore, I deleted the file, not knowing what it was for.
Now everytime I want to start my phone I get the message "The file 'wmwr-cprog' can't be opened. It isn't signed with a trusted certificate or one of the components can't be found. You might need to reinstall it or repair it if this problem keeps returning' (free translation from a dutch ROM).
What can I do and how can I do it. A quick answer is much appreciated since I cant make nor receive phonecalls and I am at work :-(.
Thanks in advance!!!
Solved
Posting the solution if someone else has or will have this prob in the future:
KB0808022: "The file 'wmwr_cprog' cannot be opened" error message after uninstalling WMWifiRouter
wmwr_cprog is an executable used to allow WMWifiRouter to work on devices that do not have actual voice capabilities, like the EM-ONE. Sometimes this application is not removed from the registry correctly when uninstalling WMWifiRouter, which can cause your phone to give you error messages.
To fix the error, you will need a registry editor, like PHM RegEdit (to use on your device itself) or MobileRegistryEditor (MRE) (to use on your computer and edit the registry over an ActiveSync connection).
Once you have launched your registry editor of choice, change the:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSCProg\1
entry from:
wmwr_cprog.exe
to:
cprog.exe
Close the registry editor, and wait two minutes - to make sure your device has saved the changes - and soft-reset your device. After the soft-reset, everything should be working as normal again.
