Thanks,

wmodem.cab

can someone with a xda2 using the extended rom builder extract and post a wmodem.cab from an english version ?
thanks
Hi!
I have just download it from a brand new I-mate with WM2003PE. My friend bought it. I have no time to try it with the I-mate.
With my Wallaby, I cant use it. If you can, please tell me a detailed setup! I try it with USb and with IrDA. My PC does not recognise the PDA as an USB or IrDA modem.
Hey Ya
Anyone got the O2 Xda II version of this CAB file please?
The file that I attached is from a Himalaya!
Does anyone have a .cab for Wmodem, that will work on an HTC TP2 (Rhodium T7380)?
I realize it's an old thread, and an OLD phone...
I'm trying to do a workaround, and connect to a pfSense box, which is a firewall and router. Mine is on a tower/pc x86, not on a plastic embedded router.
I've been pointed at this forum thread, not hyperlinked/broken, to allow me to post:
ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=780339
I've been using WMWifiRouter, have the .cab and the free license code .cab, which is now free to all.
However, per the thread above, and a poster on pfSense.org, I may need to try a client side (desktop) dialer.
It would be much easier, I suppose, to flash Timberwolf671's cooked rom. And, if bluetooth, camera or other hardware issues were never worked out, dual boot Android, via Haret...

Platform Builder CE 5.0

Does anyone have any experience with this program?
If yes,
1) Is it possible to build a OS for a custom device?
2) Is there a way to extract files from a magician ROM?
3) Is it posible to import magician drivers in the platform builder?
4) Can platoform builder create a ROM file with WM2005 to be used with the magician?
Any help is highly appreciated

Yes. I've managed to boot Pentium 3 with WinCE 4.20 about 2 years ago. Have not tested this with WinCE 5.0 but it should work.

Of cause it can.
But noone can use a trial PB to create WM5 ROM without BSPs. Only WinCE 5.0 ROMs can be created for a limited set of devices.

Hey, ive just installed the new PB and want to build a CE5 rom for a PC. Can you give me some tips on how you did it?
I also have a thin client box the Compaq T20, it has embedded NT4 atm and id love to put wince 5 on it too, if you have any helpfull hints id love to hear them.
Ive managed to build a rom, but im not sure how to make it work on a PC or the T20...
mamaich, if i wanted to build a rom for a HTC phone, how would I start?
Choose Xscale BSB, then maybe add some drivers, then how do I get it on the phone?
I don't want to have a fully functional OS, just to experiment. Are there any chances of destroying the bootloader or anything? If you have any experience or any tips please answer

Hi Guys,
JUst sharing my experiences with Jasjar of one month usage...obvious without 3G...
1) The Phone is beauty. If one does not face any problems, no need to upgrade to the new ROM.If one wants to remove Arabizer, just hard reset and do not install the extended ROM.Also one can uninstall the imaginet files later.
2) Once can use McDeb THeme maker and themes(VGA) for the additional themes.THose really look a lot Cooool
3) Do not use SPB Pocket Plus.Use iLauncher instead. It just works perfectly.Core PLayer workes like charm.Handy swithcer works.Resco 2005 esplorer also works gr8.Once can alsoi use Pocket Informant for PIM utility.True Fax also works.
Will tell more later...I hope this helps to the Universal community..
Cheers
How does one avoid installing extended rom?
Hello Hdubli,
a) How do you avoid installing extended rom? Do I just do it by soft resetting before extended rom is loaded after hard reset?
b) Is it possible afterwards to selectively install some of the cab files from the extended rom?
c) Can I remove cab files from the extended rom that I do not need?
Thanks,
apap
a, yes, b,yes, c,not yet
I forgot to inform that JASJAR also works flawlessly as a Wireless Modem on BT and on USB...
