can someone with a xda2 using the extended rom builder extract and post a wmodem.cab from an english version ?
thanks
Hi!
I have just download it from a brand new I-mate with WM2003PE. My friend bought it. I have no time to try it with the I-mate.
With my Wallaby, I cant use it. If you can, please tell me a detailed setup! I try it with USb and with IrDA. My PC does not recognise the PDA as an USB or IrDA modem.
Hey Ya
Anyone got the O2 Xda II version of this CAB file please?
The file that I attached is from a Himalaya!
Does anyone have a .cab for Wmodem, that will work on an HTC TP2 (Rhodium T7380)?
I realize it's an old thread, and an OLD phone...
I'm trying to do a workaround, and connect to a pfSense box, which is a firewall and router. Mine is on a tower/pc x86, not on a plastic embedded router.
I've been pointed at this forum thread, not hyperlinked/broken, to allow me to post:
ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=780339
I've been using WMWifiRouter, have the .cab and the free license code .cab, which is now free to all.
However, per the thread above, and a poster on pfSense.org, I may need to try a client side (desktop) dialer.
It would be much easier, I suppose, to flash Timberwolf671's cooked rom. And, if bluetooth, camera or other hardware issues were never worked out, dual boot Android, via Haret...

For all of us brave or insane souls who have migrated to the PPC2003
beta, is it possible to post somewhere the Special Edition ROM 1.1
Bandswitch tool that is on that ROM?
I tried copying it before updating, but was unable to, since it's in ROM.
Thank you kindly
It doesn't run for some reason. Which leads me to believe there is a reason the Wireless Modem isn't in there either...
u can just copy the bandswitch.exe from u xda to ur pc via active stink. however as XDA developer Peter Poelman it doesn't even work. image doesn't have wireless modem either and i haven't tested if the one in se rom will work or not.

It appears that Windows CE 4.2 has some new odd quirks in it... I am not saying that this the reason Bandswitch won't run, though.
I've been trying to understand the Windows side of the new OS. New, ways to deal with (old) stuff: the \Windows\Profiles folder, the .\WWW\ some Today plugin inconsistencies...
Mmm...
Lots of new stuff to discover
vagelis,
you are right...its a bit of a new (wierd - good) beast....things are different...gprs behaviour...allsorts...

hiya!
I've been working with the I-mate(XDAII,02) and basically it's end of life soon.
I've had HTC send us some of their new devices, the imate PDA2 and PDA2K.
is there anyway I can extract the EXROM & ROM from these devices.
I know previously, if i wanted to add my custom CABS to the EXROM, i had to wait till a ROM update was available for download before I could reverse engineer it.
But are there any tools available out there, so that I can plug my device into the cradle, and then extract the ROM to my laptop ?
not sure if this can be done, but i'm hoping so !
At the moment you can unhide the ExtROM using the old XDAII tool v2.2, but you can not unlock the rom, so you can't change anything.
what would it take to actually edit the EXROM?
I have WM 2003 ROM Editor, for my current device. it works a charm as long as you have the password.
There is no solution to this question at the moment.
Isn't there any news about that?
I've been looking aroud the forum and searching inside it but I couldn't even find a tool to unhide the extended rom.
I remeber I saw it should be just a reg key, but I do not remember which one.
Regards,
@fdpm
are you talking about himalaya ; then it's this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=8422&highlight=extendedromunlocker
it should work on Blue Angel as xda-rocks said (only unhide)
thanx a million
Cheers
Hi,

my version is 1.5.0.0801, do a search on the forum. there is a guy that made a cab instalation file for it, all that you need is to download the cab and the registry files wavedev and 1[1].5.0801-Final.
read the tread for more info on it.
i really appreciate if you can email me or upload the files since i am totaly confused with this...

M4io, Thanks but does it work on win2003se 2.2xx tanslated from chinees?
I don't know, i guess you just have to try.
If you do, please post your experience, so others can benefit
yeah sure, i have installed BlutootGPS and then WidcomPE and is working fine, just sometime says "bloototh could not be correctly initialized" but when it connects works fine.
I told you that the other .cab file is working fine on the 2.20 ver. I know for the message that you get, you need the non phone edition version, look at page 3 of the treed that m4io posted and look fot henrylim's post, there is a file attached called BT Widcomm.zip, download that and then download the other two files that i told you before (wavedev and 1[1].5.0801-Final), this two files are on page 1.
Thanks gotcha_mdaII,
i'll give it a try...
Hi,
I came across this seemingly wonderful BT stack replacement. It advertised to be A2DP, HID, LAP, OPP, PAN, SPP, SYNC, HS (headset) etc. Seems to have an excellent set of profiles!
Can someone try this on their device and tell me whether it works?
I'm looking for WM2003SE and WM2003 fellas (1.60, 1.72)..
http://www.bluesoleil.com/update/index.asp
Download Bluesoleil_CE_Eva_7.30.zip, version 1.4.9 (dated Nov 22, 2004).
It's a 60 days evaluation copy.
I will be the first to admit that it didn't install properly on my device, but then again, my device is now a mis-mash of configurations due to my various test on the registry.
Please check it out, and let us know. Perhaps this might be the solution to end all our problems.
And I hv extracted the HP phone registry - only the Widcomm BT related parts. Can't post the whole thing here, sorry.
Have fun to figure out if HP registry helps in enhancing our Widcomm stack....
Anyone has a XDA2s wavedev.dll?
About Bluesoleil tried it few weeks ago. Not working at least for my headset (Bluetrek G2).
Actually I guessed it's not working at all.
Thanks!
Hey Henry!!!,
Thank you very very very very!! much!!!
Now i have widcomm 1.5 and my bluetooth headset is working and im not get those annoying messages agian!!!!....I LOVE MY DEVICE..Thanks Again!!!
Mr 1 , could u listen to any mp3 by your bluetooth headset now?and how?
Sorry about my question... I'm very interesting for Smartfilter Novomobile... however, I have some problem to know what is the version for PPC Phone Edition and Smartphone... Is the same install file?
Moreover, when I install it (only 55k???), when the installation is finished, I received the advice that the software is made for a previous version of Windows Mobile... Is it really all right? Is this advice a non-problem... isnt it?
Is there a problem with the TyTN? Is there anyone that have already (and use) it on your device (with satisfaction)???
Please, help me!
Thanks!
Stefano
I have used smartfilter for a while now, and it works perfectly!
When a person/number is blocked, the caller either gets a busy tone, or gets redirected to the voicemail. This has to be supported by your operator, since Smartfilter only rejects the call (same as pressing red button).
Thank you! I have only a little indecision about the version that I must download... because into theirs site the link for the smartphone version is the same for the pocket pc version... can you help me posting the right link for PPC Phone edition?
Thank you and sorry about my poor question.
Stefano
You need the pocket PC version, in windows mobile 5 there is a little difference between smartphone and pocket pc phone edition, but there was a big difference in windows 2002 ---> windows 2003 and windows 2003SE (second edition).
If you have software designed for windows 2003 operating system could work or not in windows 2005 devices, but the pocket PC version is the most probable working version
Thank you sergio for you reply. Now my issue is that I dont be able to find the link to the Pocket PC Phone Edition... on the website of Novosec there are two section... one for smartphone and one for pocket pc... but if you click each link, you are redirect to the same page with the same link that they seems linked to the smartphone edition of Smartfilter... so I'm a little confused... Indeed I have tried to install the first version that I have found follow the pocket pc link... but also to be the same file for the smartphone, when I intall it, I receive in the end of the installation on my TyTN, the warning that the software isnt for this version of windows mobile. So I'm unsure to have download the right file.
Thanks!
Stefano
I tried to register at ce4arab.com to download O2 Plus V2.3.
Is there anybody that can download it for me? Since my Arab is very bad
I think I did manage to register but even with online translation tools I wasn't able to download the file.
Here is the link:
http://www.ce4arab.com/vb7/showthread.php?t=67549
Thanks in advance!
here u go man
sorry,this is the file
Thanks, also found it in the Atom section. Is yours a "universal" version?
Havn't been able to find a patch for this one.
There's only a patch available for O2 Plus 2.0.
Im not sure,I downloaded it from the link that u gave me.
BTW,whats ur device?
I own an HTC Wizard and an HTC Prophet.
When I try to install the program it tells me that I there has to be a program called "connect" on my device. Older versions also had this message, but there was a patch to work around this.
I will see if I'm able to solve this problem
hope u'll be able to solve it.
i want to ask u a question, did u manage to put the o2 media plus software on ur prophet?
I havn't tried O2 Media Plus, but I will have a look for you to see if I can get it and make it work on the HTC Prophet
thanks in advance,i'll look in ce4arab,maybe they cooked something like this
found one!!
this one worked for my prophet(qteq rom),here u go
Great find! Will try this later on
So is there a working version for the Wizard?

You should run this on PPC not on your PC. Just click that file on PPC and install on main memory.
Please tell me if this will work on the Wizard.

Why should someone offer himself for your curiosity?
Yes it works on the Wizard/Prophet
Does anyone feel like making some individual cabs for each or some of the plugins?
I know Last Call and I think Calendar have been done before, but what about Battery/Card/Memory, etc?
Saves space and is more convenient.
