Hi,
I realise this is slightly off topic, but this forum has been extremely helpfull to me before and i bought my bluetooth headset for my Kaiser.
I would like to use my Headset (Sony HBH DS980) to listen to music and use skype. i linked it to my Notebook and had no problems with that, but i dont know how to convince the notebook to play the audio on the headset.
if i check the properties of my headset in the bluetooth settings, i cant see any services, the headset is listed as an "audio device" though.
many thanks in advance,
t
Go to ; Start , Settings , Control panel , Sound and Audio devices, go to the tab : Audio and select @ Sound Playback ; Default device your bluetooth hands-free audio and if it is a headset also @ Sound Recording default device ; Bluetooth Hands-free Audio.
Hope this helps you.

I just paired my BT headset with my Wizard and it works fine for phone calls, but it won't work for the sound coming from Windows, which still comes via the handsfree speaker of the device.
Is there any possibility to get the Windows sound on the BT headset?
As of right now, it is still under works as A2DP is required to have the sounds from Windows processed to a BT headset. People using the Magician have had luck and we can now listen to WM10 through our BT stereo headset.
There are two main problems:
1. Getting A2DP set correctly so that everyone can enjoy it.
2. Having it work in mono based BT Headsets.
Mono is not problem for Wizard:

Stereo (means A2DP) is not available yet.
Hi!
I have that great motorola T305 bluetooth speaker
the problem that I can only hear the phone calls with that device,
I want to hear any audio output from my diamond throught the Motorola speaker
BTW
The only profile that I can config to that device (from the menu) is HeadSet
HOW CAN I DO IT?
Thanks!!!
Hello Alan111
I had the same problem with mine. Have you tried to touch long on the Bluetooth profile "Motorola Speaker) till you can choose between Edit / delete / use as headset / use as bluetooth headphone (I hope my translation is correct, because my phone works with german language) Choose the last point. This should work. If not, perhaps the profile is not supported by your Motorola speaker.
I hope I could help you.

If the motorola unit supports A2DP bluetooth profile you need to pair it to the HTC with that as well as headset/handset. If it does not then you need to run a workaround app on the HTC, such as BTMusic, so that the HTC will send out other sounds using the handset/headset profile. The trouble is that the sound quality is mono and very poor with this profile (it was only designed for phone conversations) and music will sound awful.
However it is fine for sat nav instructions and warnings - I am using BTMusic with Tom Tom 6 for example and pairing it with my Parrot CK3300 so handsfree phone and sat nav comes through my car audio.
delete my post please.
Hello guys,
I bought a Anycom Bluetooth headset, the BSH-100 Stereo Bluetooth Headset to be spesific.
Now this isnt the greatest headset, but it does the trick quite nicely.
There are some problems though.
First of all since it is a handsfree and a stereoheadset, it has functions for both talking and listening to music. Herein lies the problem.
I mostly use it to listen to music, and it should be able to play and pause the music player on my HTC Diamond. It seems like it wants to be handsfree more than a headset though. Pressing the play/pause button on the handsfree will connect it to the phone and repeat the last call made..
Is there any way I can make it connect as a music headset and only pause/play?
As it is now, I have to connect it manually, define it as a music headset and then press play in the music player.
Hope this works, good luck!
Go to START > SETTINGS > CONNECTIONS > BLUETOOTH > Tap on your headset name > Check both Wireless stereo and Headset if one box is not checked > OR uncheck Headset and check Wireless stereo, if it helps...
Could anyone help me please - my blutooth headset is paired with X1 and I can make phone calls but the music which I normally listened too vi amy Kaiser is not possible
What do I have to change ????
start > settings > connections > bluetooth >
hold down your bt headset's name > select set as wireless stereo
berlinberlin here is frankfurt
The only option which get offered headet - nothing else
Man, how can we tell yr problem w/o even specify the model of yr headset?
Both my Sony DS-205 and Jvc BT-1 works fine w/ music. I bet you are not using a A2DP headset here
It is a motorola h680
and it worked on the Kaiser
the motorola h680 doesn't support A2DP, so this is not a xperia problem...
On Kaiser, it works because there is tool to enable it (forget the name). U can try if it works on x1. But like what I said, it's not x1's problem if you are try to using headset only device on x1 for music
I have paired my HBH-DS980 to X1i, but have only got the Wireless Headset and Hands-Free services. How do I add in the A2DP and AVRCP services?
These were working perfectly on my SE P1i.
use Homescreen plusplus 1.06 (www.chi-thai.info)
then activate the traylunch, so you can aktivate A2DP on the today screen
I did it and I can`t hear music - and - I researched on the Motorola - is is able to run a2dp !!!
Interesting - I could listen to music with this bluetooth device with KAISER but now ....only the phone function is working ...
Does anyone know if it is possible to use your headset output to play MP3 and still have my bluetooth connected to answer calls on a Touch Pro2 (T-Mobile)
I think you might be able to do that. I haven't tried this but here is what you need to do:
When you connect your bluetooth headset (i'm assuming you you have a stereo headset) to the phone select properties and disconnect "Stereo Audio" and only leave Handsfree active. This should allow all your media to either play through the speaker or wired headphone.

i used a Plantronics Discovery 975, worked perfectly for me.... i got sprint
I have tryed it.. but I will Try again
I went to the Bluetooth settings and did turn off the Stereo setting, but it started to play in Mono in my Bluetooth, Then I Disconnected and reconnected the headset output jack for my MP3's and it played trough the headset output....made a call to my Phone and picked up and when I hung up it went back to playing MONO in my Bluetooth headset and had to Disconnected and reconnected the headset output jack to get MP3’s to play trough headset output
I have a Planitronics Voyager 855 Bluetooth headset
I just cannot find a setting that keep allowing it to play Mono
I am running DeepShinning v.4 on my Touch Pro 2 t-mobile
It is a setting's issue, under advanced settings the audio hands free related settings needs to be unchecked

you are right, and also that type of bluetooth you have... HTC and Plantronics advices that the Discovery 975 is not compatible with the Touch Pro 2 but it worked perfectly for me and the sound was great, both talking and playing music.
