Did you get it CID unlocked before flashing ? Which Rom you are trying to flash.
Which is your device , G3 or G4 ?
Cheers!

Oh my my, man you are lucky, thank you tried a wm6 rom which doesn't include any ipl/spl in it,otherwise it wud have been a 'Brick'.
well,if its a G4,it cannot be CID unlocked, but if you wish to upgrade to wm6 rom, then try the 'HardSPL' or 'SoftSPL' method, read and follow the instructions as given in the stickies for 'HardSPL' and 'SoftSPL' in the G4 forum.
now as to recover your phone, download the official carrier's rom and get the phone into bootloaders (multicolor screen) and flash it to recover back to its default status and then try with either HatdSPL or SoftSPL.
Cheers!

ok well my wizard is still connected through activesync on my other pc with shelltool running, can someone give me instructions to recov it?

well, there was no need to run shell tool, you cud have upgraded your phone easily using 'HardSPL' or 'SoftSPL',much easier and with efficient solution.
ok,now go to link ,you'll find all the official stock roms, download the official rom of your carrier and get the phone into bootloaders (multicolor screen) and flash the rom to recover or you can download the wizard_love rom and flash in bootloaders to recover back. Well, you can also flash the official or wizard_love with shell tool, but flashing by running Ruu is more recommended.

My phone got screwed after upgrading my rom

Hello,
Im not new to rom upgrades ive done it before with many rom releases
I installed this rom like any other
Dutty's HD V3.4 XT
after installing this my cell's screen got blury and when i take it into hypernate and bring it back (press the off button) it get fixed, something i have never had before
Other than that i cannot start the phone proccess, everytime i do, its getting closed.. so my phone got no service now,
I tried upgrading to another rom after trying this one and got the same response
(the phone service is the one allowing me to make phonecalls, the WM6 is starting up fine but really slowly)
Ive even tried hard restarting my device a few times, nothing fixe's this..
Anyone got a solution for this?

what spl are you on
what my senior member above meant to say is what spl are you on
1.14 or 1.56
check that first and then follow cracwhore's instruction step by step

Reason why you are getting this colour distortion is because you haven't used USPL or HSPL before flashing rom
If you are using USPL you need to re-run USPL before every flash to rom or radio. If you are using HSPL you only need to run it once.
Check your SPL in bootloader
If it says 1.54.0000 you will need to use USPL and then flash 1.56+ rom
As mentioned previously by DRTigerlilly & kingspeare you will need to follow cRaCKwHoRe's guide correctly and make sure you follow the whole guide.
Let us know if you are still having problems or alternatively (and I'd recommend this) post your queries in cRaCKwHoRe's guide thread so either myself, cRaCKwHoRe etc can provide you with better support

Urgent help needed..

Hi. I have the HTC touch HD. I have tried 2 roms (Duttys hd x2 extreme and the other is energy rom) both keep freezing up all the time after a few seconds use. Dont get enough time to even enter a wireless network key before it freezes up. I have tried to go back to the orange update rom from the orange website, that runs really really slow, i have my orange sim in there but it wont register on the network no matter which rom i use. When it loads up the colour is all pixelated and mixed up untill i turn off the screen and back on again then the colour is ok. I have just paid and downloaded the sim unlocker from htc unlocks and that just keeps saying phone is in flight mode.. And now it just rebooted its self for no reason, i wasnt even touching it..
Please help..
Thanks
Shaun
I have been trying to switch on the phone in the comm manager and it just wont switch on....
Some more info would be great. What metod did you use to update the new rom,
did you have any problem before,is this the first cooked rom, etc.
I agree more info would be good, but it sounds like you may not have followed the Guide on how to Flash? Did you use hspl or uspl before flashing? If not then that is your cause.

Easy as pie,... Pick the rom you want from here,...
XDA's Official HTC Hero RUU ROM Links
... or here,...
Modaco's Stock ROMs + radios in update.zip format for GSM Hero
I have given link to the Modaco page as there are rooted stock ROMs there, could be useful.
.... Put onto SD, then apply update. I assume you know how to flash ROMs as you are using a custom one already,...
If not, check out [Guide] Newbie Guide to Install a Custom Rom [Updated 19/03]
If your still unsure, ask, we can try to help some more.

Yep, exactly the same, wont take long at all. I didn't bother creating a backup as I knew I could always get it from somewhere. Where would we be without XDA eh,.... Still using a Nokia I expect!!!

any other way to flash the official rom beside the way you show me before, actually i bought from 2nd hands, not me flash the hero. so maybe you can help me the easiest way...sorry to bother.
If you really want the easiest way, download and install the official RUU from HTCs website. However, this will make it harder for you to apply a custom ROM in the future.

Dave

If that's really what you want:
Make sure you have the usb drivers installed on your PC. Easiest way is probably to install HTC Sync, following HTC's instructions, assuming you don't have it set up already. Then just connect your phone to your PC via USB, download the RUU which will be an executable & double click on it. Can't get much simpler than that

This thread is not for the SPRINT HERO,.... This is for the GSM HTC HERO,.... You could seriously damage your phone using these instructions.
You need to start in the CDMA section.

Actually, it depends on what he is trying to do! If he's trying to install the RUU (from this thread) for the Sprint Hero, it should be fine.

I got through that guide as well, but when it comes time to flash the rom, it hangs at 0% and then gives me error 262. I go through recovery but it still doesn't work. I dont have hardSPL either, is there any way to get HardSPL from bootloader? Also, when i try task 28 in mtty again, i get :
Format start
Fill RSVD information for block 351 to 384
TAG NOT FOUND !!! NOT CLEAR STORAGE !!!
Format end
also, the telus rom you can get from a search.
hm... Thats weird
i cant find the telus rom
I can only find the raw form, and i think you need to cook it or smthn
Anyway, if it doesnt work for you, it wont work for me either, cause we are having exactly the same problem.
It would be awesome if we can Install hard spl from bootloader.
But no1 seems to be able to help us.
We are the only users who are bothering to reply as it seems.
Is it an official signed rom you need or the recooked raws? (Not sure how successful I'll be but if it can help I will see if I can recook them.) As for the official signed rom, I haven't been able to find one myself as of yet.
we need the official telus signed rom
Because we didnt hard spl our phones, we're stack.
So either the official signed rom, or we need to find a way to hard spl our phones through the tricolor bootloader
Any ideas?
I'm stuck at the same with with my Mobilicity Snap. I went through the HardSPL and it said everything was successful but now my phone is bricked because I failed to notice SPL 1.24 still on the tri color screen. I also would like to know if there is a way to use MTTY, some other tool, or get hardspl onto the phone through the bootloader. HardSPL hangs on 0% from the boot loader for me.
Also tried MTTY task 28, task 29, reboot, reflash to no avail.
We all seem to have the same problem, I'm surprised it hasn't been addressed yet.
I guess there's no luck finding a factory rom for the s510 series...?
You guys are braver than me, I won't attempt a flash unless I have an out waiting.
Come one ! Really there is no fix for the file with the bad code ?

Reflash original provider ROM brings back warranty?

Hello everybody,

Technically no, if you have fiddled with the bootloader or uninstalled the original ROM you will have voided your warranty even if you put it back as was.
Practically, yes, no-one is gonna be able to tell what you've been up to if it's back to stock

how can I reinstall the original ROM?
Flash one of the original RUU files.
Let me use this tread. I am new in DesireHD world , so i must learn and ask stuppid questions
Let's say that my desireHD is rooted and upgrade it with custom rom. If I want, I just DL original RUU and flash it and desire becomes as it was before root procedure?
TNX
Sorry to bring this back up guys but I could do with knowing this too.
I've had my DHD for about 3 months now, after the 1st month the proximity sensor broke so I had to send it back under warranty. I do want to flash it but I just want to make sure I can flash it back to stock without them knowing that I had rooted it?
If you flash an official "signed" HTC RUU then as far as HTC know its still under warranty.

Sorry for another noob question but is there a list where these official ROMs are available to download?
Look in the Dev section. One if the stickied posts "Desire HD files", has all the RUU's hosted. Make sure you flash the correct one.
How would I go about getting a signed RUU then? Sorry for these stupid sounding questions, I'm quite new to this)
but don't forget if you do radio s-off and super cid the stay on even after you install a ruu. someone is working on a tool to revert this process doh, i could be wrong on this, but that what i've read.
I'm pretty sure flashing an official HTC RUU will restore S-ON.
To flash a RUU ensure you have all the correct HTC drivers. Download & install HTC Sync for this.
Simply connect your DHD to your computer and run the RUU from your computer, just follow the prompts.

Yes, thanks, I think I've found the right one. I am with T-Mobile UK though there is none of the carrier's own branding so I think from the info on the phone that it must be "RUU_Ace_HTC_WWE_1.32.405.6_Radio_12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26_M_release_155891_signed". The only difference is the radio on the device has a "U" after the "e" and I cannot find the release number anywhere in the sofware info .
Sorry I don't know what versioning system HTC use with regard to ROMs & Radios. If your DHD came stock and unbranded to a particular carrier then you are correct with the WWE (World Wide English).
Could this stock rom be backed up with rom manager, then flashed back if need be? (BTW Andy, nice sig )
