I bought a new HTC P3300. It has come with WM6.0 and default theme. After going through this forum, I found so many new ROM. I have a question? Should I try new ROM, if so which one (what does CUBE and without CUBE means) ?
Also are there any documents on steps which I should follow to update ROM. I have read some thread which says just connect Activesync and upload. Also please note that mine is unlocked SIM. Since I am a newbie, asking so many questions, I hope it is OK.

Even though HTC removed the link from their website, the ORIGINAL file is still in the same place!!

How about that? I was for 2 hours trying to find it and could only find crappy patches with weird roms and utilities to bypass... that DO NOT WORK in Vista 64.
Dunno why nobody posted the original file? Its just run & upgrade, no need for workarounds...

Hi, can anyone get me an original PTG ROM for Artemis? I cant seem to find any working link and although I read the tutorial on how to backup my ROM (the original one) I am affraid I cannot do it myself... or on my own...
I have had problems before and had to send it for repair twice, but I don't wantto send it with another ROM, they might say it was that that chrashed it, or say it voided the warranty...

I have just baught a HERMES (SPV M3100). Orange has set it up so I cannot use many websites (googlemaps etc). What do I need to de-orange it?
Also - can I get a new active sync? (the one that came with it doesnt sync contacts and doesnt sync with microsoft outlook).
I think maybe I need to Cook or flash my HERMES?
Sorry that these are basic questions. I have read the Wiki, but am no familiar with al the terms.

I got an SPV M3100 and I flashed it with various roms.
It's a simple process if you follow ALL the rules.

It is very helpful for me a (complete novice).
So to unlock a device I need to Flash HardSPL which is a modified bootloader ? (have I got these terms correct)?
If I stop after the flash Hard SPL stge will I have the same device as before, unlocked?
Few things I wasnt sure about, after reading the site:
"If your SPL version is 2.10.olipro then you ALREADY HAVE HardSPLv7. You do not need to flash it again."

Can you give me any suggestions as to whether Full, medium or vanilla version of Dutty WM6 v2 would work the best for me - I do not yet have memory storage but I wouldn't want to miss out on key features of WM6

The Herald and the Wing are one and the same, they just have different keyboard layouts in some versions.

So yes, as he just said, it WILL work for your phone. There's a fix for your keyboard after flashing somewhere on XDA. That's all that's different for you two.

hey i have one last realy stupid question i have noticed that everything is for t mobile but i live in south afirica and i use Vodacom will that be a problem with the rom or is something gonna bug it all up

No. The Herald and the Tmobile Wing are almost identical except for their keyboards. If you have a Herald, flash a herald ROM. If you flash a Wing ROM, then some keys won't be mapped correctly but everything else will work fine.
Before updating my TMobile HD2 via goldcard I would like a backup for the original TMobile ROM. Does such a thing exist and if so can anyone give me a link to the ROM ?

Thanks! The only problem by now is that both links are for premium users...
there are a set of tools available under "itsutils" these tools allow you to back up ur rom...you'll need to find instructions they prob under blackstone rom section

I am new here and happy to be with you i got a T-Mobile MDA Pro German device i wanted somethings:-
1- Sim Unlock to the device.
2- Transform it from German to English.
3- Upgrade to WM 6.1 if there is a good reason to do that.
So i just did the following to Unlock the device i used this guide Uni_Simlock_by_Buzz_and_team from the wiki and successfully the device is unlocked now, but i forgot to take a backup of the original Radio Rom which is mentioned in step number 15-
Now i want to do the other things without breaking my device i already checked some posts but afraid to do so. please help me with the best instructions to do these tasks

If your device is already SIM unlocked you can proceed to upgrade ROM:
- To change language you need to upgrade your ROM here
- Choose a 6.1 ROM that I would personally recommend! (look for Tomal 8.2 or 8.5
