Some e-mail Problems - who's got an idea for help? - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 ROM Development

Upgraded to WM6 - helmi
Result:
ROM version 5.60.00 WWE
ROM date 03/02/05
Radio version: 1.13.00
protocolversion: 13372.42
ExtROM version: "none"
Basically works great, although stupid me was taking very long to get Medion Navigator 4.2 to running with an BT GPS mouse. Had to change some ini files to matching port nos.
Now I do have the following problems - yet unsolved:
using the GPRS internet connection by following the instructions from my provider (t-mobile) I get access to the internet - so far so well.
Seting up e-mail accounts following the rules of the account provider seems to work. Imap4 account contents were downloaded from the server perfectly well to my BA.
Trying to send messages I do get the following error message:
"Ein oder mehr Empfänger sind nicht erkannt worden oder die Adresse ist ungültig. Nachricht trotzdem senden?" means: "One or more recipients could not be recognized or the address is invalid. Send anyhow?"
Now:
When writing a text message (SMS):
If I press "YES" after "send anyhow?" the message goes out as a text message, arrives at the recipient and I will find my copy in the sent items.
When writing an e-mail:
After trying to send a message to a valid account I do receive the same error message as above.
When pressing "YES" now, it will work again but unfortunately I can't find a copy of my sent message in the specific folder, although this message went out correctly and arrived to the recipient.
Who knows what I made wrong?
Thanks in advance for your support

Problems solved my way...*laugh
There we are:
First:
The Helmi WM6 caused problems in connecting to two different BlueTooth devices at the same time (Hands-Free and GPS-Mouse- Unstable connection) - Guess this is known and will be solved soon, or has it been solved yet?
Second:
I've set up me E-Mail-Accounts as IMAP4 - when setting up as POP everything was fine.
Third:
Got a phone call from my provider offering a HTC ELF (MDA Touch) for nearly free at a lower rate than my current monthly as a reward for continuing my contract.
Conclusion:
Set back the BA to WM2003SE latest ROM and Radio versions, got the ELF (great stuff) selling now the BA via E-Bay.

Wireless Modem (GSM) Problems

I downloaded Othman's updates (RUU 3.16.52, RSU 3.23.01), onto a UK O2 XDA. Also downloaded IR COMM program from http://www.ircomm2k.de set it to COMM 2 where my IR port connects to. Then created a standard 9600bps modem connecting to IRCOMM's virtual COMM port on COM 7, and set the control flow to none. It seems to connect (yellow light shows on WModem app) but doesn't get any further than that. In the modem's properties I did a dianostics test, here are the results.
http://www.markhorgan.com/temp/ModemLog_Standard_9600_bps_Modem.txt
Has anybody any ideas?
PS Just in case anybody else is trying to connect to the internet on a Irish Vodafone/Eircell ready-to-go account here is some info:
number:0876202222 (cheaper than landline ISPs)
username:vodafone
password:vodafone
Data type: ISDN
Primary DNS: 213.233.128.1
Secondary DNS: 213.233.128.19
SMTP Server:mail.e-merge.ie
Still can't get it working, but here's a PDF I came across that might work for those that have the latest 02 ROM (which doesn't seem to be downloadable for some reason)

Hi,
Please let me know where to find Othman's updates (RUU 3.16.52, RSU 3.23.01).
Thanks.
Surprise when will you annouce it?!
Hi Markh,
Please, can you assist.
I have a german OS and like to change to english.
I have followed your explanation and get always the error message:
"error 007: no rom image file
Cannot find rom image to upgrade your PocketPC
Please download and try again"
I modified the 007 to 001 with hex edit.
Try following the instructions at http://www.markhorgan.com/qtek-rom-update/
I haven't come across your problem before, the only thing I can think of is that windows might be locking the ROM file (NK.nbf), save the file and close HexEdit before you continue the installation process, or RUU 3.16.52 might be corrupted - try downloading it again.
Hi,
I followed the steps discribed on the link ( above ).
Its always giving me this error.
I thought It might be because I have german OS on and try to upgrade with an english version.
I tried the O2 Dutch 3.15.15 from their webpage and the 3.16.52 from markh.
I cross checked this by loading the german 3.14.16.ger from the german O2 page. That worked fine.

TIM MMS problem and "unknown sim error"

I have jasjar with latest rom from imate.
I have two major problem with my operator: TIM
1. follwing all the instructions about MMS on the TIM website I still get an error, receiving and sending MMS
2. changing the pin, I get "unknown sim error". I tried with two different sim, an old 32kB and a new one 128kB.
Any other italian reader with kaskar and TIM?
thanks
Rosario
Hi, I'm Italian and I get it working.
You need to:
1) set a new connection (I put it in My Work Connection): name timMMS,select a modem:Cellular Line (GPRS,3G),Access Point name: mms.tim.it
2) go to mms configuration (it's in the menu in the messaging centre), and you put the data you can find here: www.i.tim.it/file/0,,774,00.pdf
So server name TIM_mms (or whatsoever), gateway 213.230.130.89, port number 9201, server address http://mms.tim.it/servlets/mms
connect via Work, and IMPORTANT: choose Wap version WAP 1.2, not 2.0 or it doesn't work
Ciao
I configured it in this way too. But no luck, I still get an error after 30 secs sending messages, or retriving it.
Very strange, same sim, same parameters but different phone and everything works great.
I don't understand why in some jasjar they work and in others they don't.
Do you get an error when you try to change the pin code to you sim?
thanks
ciao
anyone of you got the MobileTV working ... which are the RTSP addresses ?
rpingar, I disabled the pin code.
Maybe you should try this (I haven't a clue, but...)
Please pay attention to put it in WAP mode 1.2

Error on VoipSettings.exe - Schap's 4.31

Hey guys, fresh meat in this forum, not quite new to Windows Mobile but very new to using it in a PDA with phone capabilities. Quite Symbian guy and sort of getting myself used to WM6 - and in love with Hermes...
I have just done a successful installation of Schap's 4.31 WM6 Rom - which I think is freaking great - when trying to make the VoIP work, I managed to get username, password and settings from Truphone account out of my N95 but I am not 100% sure I have put the right data in the right fields, result is that VoIP will not work at all and when I try to access the VoIP Settings (in the connections tab) it'll come up with a message "An unexpected error has ocurred in VoIPSettings.exe. Select Quit and then restart this program, or select Details for more information". Obviously I've done it a few times.
Help is more than appreciated.
Excuse me for my bad English.
I had the same problem and I deleted the file with my SIP configuration and then no problem :
File to delete :
Windows\System\VoIP\Prov0SIPSettings (it is an hidden file)
I have make this on a P4550 device with Schap's Rom. Perhaps is it the same thing...
Thanks
Thanks for this ! it worked for me as well.

TMobile GPRS

I have spent the last few hours searching various keywords trying to solve this issue on my own... But, I cannot.
As a result, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to help me solve the following issue:
I recently Flashed my TMobile MDA (aka the Wizard) by following these instructions exactly:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298613
including:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=285435
After having completed those steps, I installed the following ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=391927
-----The Professional Edition
In order to solve a bug issue, I also flashed the Radio from 2.25.xx to 2.19.11 ((suggested by TNT)).
At this point, I have the letter "E" in a box next to the Radio Signal Strength Bars. To the best of my knowledge this used to be a "G."
Here is the following Device Information for my phone:
ROM version: 11.0.3.0 WWE
ROM Date: 2/02/2008
Radio Version: 02.19.11
Protocol Version: 4.1.13.09
IPL: 2.26
SPL: 2.26
I can receive/make calls and SMS text message. However, I cannot access the internet or receive MMS messages as I did prior to toying w/ the phone. It is no longer connecting to/via/with/? GPRS
Any and all assistance in this matter would GREATLY be appreciated!
Many Thanks!
