XDA exec Connecting but with synchronization error :(

Hi Guys
Lately i'm having this new trouble...upon connecting my device to work laptop it's connecting and while looking for changes it's popping up with following information:
"Synchronization cannot be completed successfully. Reconnect your device and try again. If the problem persists , see the Microsoft ActiveSync Troubleshooter in Microsoft ActiveSync Help on your desktop computer."
After this error popup only 'Explore' button is enabled on my laptop's ActivieSync......
Please help me what I should do now .... I strongly believe that i'll get solution in this forum rather than O2 Customer support.

anyone help?lost my windows cd

my pc crashed so upon re-installing everything,i came to put active sync back on and when i attach my mda compact it dont find it,and asks for my windows ce or whatever its called cd.
i have spent two hours looking and its nowere to be found.
please help anyone know were i may get it downloaded,i have the windows code from it to prove im legit etc.
man im having a bad day.
hope someone may help as i cant back up my mda or add progs to it.

Try the uploads\app_suite folder on the ftp & download asi.exe (little surprise from TMO). Have you reinstalled the new Act.sync from M$?

my pc wont find the mda,it searches all port but fails to see its connceted,
ive tried unintsall and reinstall avt sync .

Your USB port is functioning & Act.sync is allowed to use usb?
Have you tried to connect your magician to another PC via usb?

ill try that on another pc nice idea,
act syn runs but dont pick up the usb is used,ive swoped usb ports but to no effect,ill try another pc cheers mate

Universal not able to connect to the PC for SYNC--urgent PLZ

I got the new SPV 5000 as upgrade on orange and the first thing i did was unlock it using the bootloader by BUZZ from this site. Once i unlocked the phone, it works fine, everything is great. But when i try to connect it to the PC, it gives me an error, saying download Active sync 4.1 for it, I downloaded the latest 4.2 and tried to connect my universal to it, but it isnt able to connect, i dont know why..
sometimes it just gives me an error and says, check/report error and does all the status reports and stuff, but still not luck. I connected once and then when i clicked the explore button everything was blank, cant see my device or folders and nothing at all.
Please help me if someone knows the solution to it.. Cheers

Do you have another PC with which to try it out? Maybe the activesync installation or the USB drivers got corrupt.
Also, try syncing thru Bluetooth if your PC has BT. This might isolate the problem.

hello Jorgee, thanks for the reply, Yes it did work on the other PC, so does it mean that my current Pc's USB drivers are corrupt, coz the other day my USB TV stopped working on this one too. hehehe.. any solution to this PC problem

I find that if I'm connected to work using the Cisco VPN Client then ActiveSync won't connect, not really a big deal I guess but annoying all the same!

I've a problem and i'm hopping you can help me resolve it!!
Today i installed in my pc the new activesync 4.5, but i0m unable to make a connection between my S200 and the pc!! It just isn't recognized by the pc and it does'n syncronize!!!
Can anybody please help me??

Ensure your network to the phone is not firewalled. In ZoneAlarm you have to change the phone network to "Trusted" zone.

Hello and thanks a lot for the solutions you posted, but i have another problem!!!
When i try to install this software you gave me, my ppc simply refuses it because it says tha there is no digital signature on the program!!
Can anyone help me install this software??
Is there any way to overrunn this error message??

I even tryed to connect it with the firewall disabeled, but i still can´t connect the ppc to activesync!!
Any other ideas??

Its weird, but usually any PPC can accept that software, tried it before with my Himalaya, Wizard and now my Prophet and all i did was install it and begin to use..
However, that error message usually happens when you have an Application Unlocked device, you can try to de-cert it first...it is really weird as i know, it only does happen with Smartphones..

This may appear crazy, but it worked for me unintentionally of course. I had given up on being able to sync via Activesync and was looking for a solution to backup my contacts before hard resetting my phone.
I had a permanent 'Synchronization Error', I just tried a piece of software posted here

This software is designed to backup contacts, but when I ran it FIXED my 'Synchronization Error', I don't know how or why, but my phone is now working with Activesync, maybe it will fix your problem too.
It won’t do any harm to try it, as all it does is create a backup of contacts.

i recently got a German O2 XDA Neo and it's now 2 days i cannot get it synced with any pc... pls someone help, cause i'm desperate because of German OS (sry, i don't speak it well) and a whole bunch of contacts on my pc...
for the first time i tried to sync it with Windows Mobile Device Center on my desktop pc with Vista. but no luck, even then I opened all needed ports in windows firewall. no luck with getting it synchronized after soft or hard reset, restated my pc for a 1000 time and still no connection. when i tryed it on my brothers Win XP laptop with active sync 4.1 german (what was with the pda in a box) and with 4.5 active sync, again all needed TCP UTP ports open and restarted everything and tried every USB port around. still nothing ...
when changed USB cord and still no luck.
what can it be? can Neo's Mini USB slot just stop working?? or is it software issue? perhaps there is a way to flash it with other firmware from SD card?
please help, i'm all out of ideas ...
