Im not 100% sure on this but I think the Traffic plus option is only available in Europe. I wanted to use this option also but I read on the manual / booklet that it is not available in the US. Im using Tom Tom Navigator 6. I dont know if it makes much of a difference.

Hi, you can try out VisualGPSce at http://www.visualgps.net/VisualGPSce/default.htm
It's rather basic, but very useful for trying out your GPS.

Hey all,
As the title says, I can't get it to work. Heres the process...
1. TomTom finds the phone ok
2. Phone asks for Bluetooth auth code
3. As TomTom states, 0000 is entered on phone, code accepted.
4. The % complete on TomTom goes up to no more than 40%.
5. Connection fails with something like "unable to search for the phones features".
Thats it, it doesnt go any further and I've tried many times. The phone is from Orange UK and is using their default rom.
Operator Version 25.131.1.6110
ROM Version: 1.31.61.10
ROM Date: 10/30/07
Radio Rom: 1.58.16.27
Protocol Version: 25.61.30.03H
My phone is the Hermes and this works fine using the exact same steps. Its also Orange UK but I've put the Pays rom on it. But the same process just works ok.
Is it that the HTC Touch Dual is too new and the connectivity between them wont work until a software update? Thats my complete guess
Any help, suggestions much appreciated.
Thanks,
D.
Works for me with the 720T so it should work on the 520 too. Have you installed the latest v7.48 version for the 520 ?
I bought a TomTom 920T yesterday and I too am having issues with an OrangeTouch Dual.
In my case it pairs OK and TomTom is set up as a Hands-Free etc. But it fails to create the data connection. It says that the device does not support DUN. I tried with an Orange C600 and it worked fine.
Anyone else seen this too?
TomTom have a manual config guide here http://www.tomtom.com/support/product.php?ID=1959&Language=1&query=mobile&FID=3326 but I can't see a way of getting in these options on the 920T with the latest version of TomTom.
Yes you need to add the BT DUN with a little cab that can be found somewhere here, it's called WM6_BT_DUN.cab
Thanks for that. It got me a bit further. The TomTom now recognises the devices ability to provide the data connection but it wont connect to TomTom services. I did a few soft resets to see if that changed anything but nothing. I've try the Orange contract and Orange WAP settings, also tried setting it manually as per TomTom's instructions in my previous post - but still no connection. I've done a little research on this site but not found a well detailed solution.
Any ideas?

Yeah, I did install that cab and rebooted my Dual. I can now see that it provides a DUN but sending AT-commands there produces no result (not an OK, not an ERROR, just nothing). Any idea why?

Once installed, do you still connect using Bluetooth PAN or just turn on Bluetooth and pair the phone with the Tomtom Go 520?
If this works I will be a very happy man! Been quite bleak that I couldn’t connect before, could have saved myself a lot of time with on the go traffic updates!
Thanks

HTC Dual and tom tom 910. Working at last!!
Well after many hours of trying my tom tom traffic and hands free voice finally work.
Install the BT_CAB on your device.
pair the two together
go to Internet sharing on your phone - set PC Connection to Bluetooh pan.
Connect to the internet.
Go to your tomtom, check you are connected, go through the standard process of setting up tom tom traffic.
once connected go to Blue tooth option on the tomtom and set to answer phone and obtain data.
good luck.

Enough with the double posting please; post your question in one forum and check back. Don't go around the forum posting it in every subforum you can find.
I have bought a HTC new White Diamond.
i want to use the GPS and GPRS but without spending lots of money.../
i m in mumbai i have Vodafone!!,,
can sm 1 recommend me ne free software!~!!!
Hi,
The best free software for GPS is Google Maps for Windows Mobile. But to use it you will have to use the internet connection on your phone which costs...
No, it's not true
the best one is IGO8.3.x.x version...
You don't have to pay nothing for using this software, cause you use satelite for navigation, not internet
if you need this soft, pm me
greetz
IGo
IGo is not free and we don't recommend warez here lol
By the way, if I read correctly, you are in Mumbai so the first step you should take is to check the coverage of your country by the "usual" software and their clones like Igo (miomap), Tom Tom and Garmin and others ....
No need to spent time to install a software on your pda if there is no or poor coverage of your country.
Search for mapmyindia (shareware) on this forum and on ppcwarez. You will get the answer.
For GPRS, call Vodafone Customer Care.
hi, to all,
I have cingulars 8525,htc herm100,and i'm haveing problems with GPS signal...
I installed tomtom 6 and it say "no device"...all settings are set to com port 4....Any help will be well appreciated...thanks
is there any one here?
you have to have an external sat receiver. AT&T sells one or you can get one from any place that sales gps'. All you want is the receiver that can connect via blue-tooth.
