Tmobile wing stuck on the main screen need help - Wing, P4350 General

Hi my tmobile wing that i bought off the craigslist is stuck on the main screen with tmobile and is not going beyond it
can some one please help me how can i make this phone work again

Try a hard reset
(hold down both soft keys and poke the stylus through the hole on the side of the phone under the volume slider)
If that doesn't work, you need to install this :
T-MOBILE STOCK RUU
In order to run this, you'll need to plug your phone to your PC via USB, then go into bootloader mode ... which means you need to hold down the camera button (and keep it down) while you soft reset (poke stylus through hole under volume slider)
When your phone is in bootloader mode, and plugged into USB, it should show "USB" in the corner... once that happens, run that file which will take the phone back to factory settings.

Wont Run Bootloader
I have tried holding the camera button and soft resetting multiple times, but it keeps getting stuck on the tmobile screen? What do i do??

After I flashed a ROM for the just clean oven, I had this same problem.
I fixed it (after many hours) by downloading this ROM:
http://www.mediafire.com/?clvw3cvyclo
Entering bootloader (hold in camera button and soft-reset.)
Running the tmobile rom.
It was very strange, it took 3 or 4 tries, but it eventually worked.
I don't understand why, since I did nothing differently, but try it afew times.
Hope you get it up and running soon!
BTW, what are your SLP numbers shown on the bootloader screen?

thx really worked
tryed like 4 times then it worked

O2- XDAIIi upgrade

Guy,
Please Help
I was upgrading my XDAIIi to Xda IIi ROM v 1.11.162. during which it show an error message and it just went blank looking closely at the screen showing USB at the top of the screen and the bottom of it has v1.01,
when put on the cradle it showing USB.
I have press the reset botton God knows how many times
Please help someone
Were you trying to upgrade to the rom I posted? With RADIO 1.03 in the filename?
You need to press the power, d-button down and the reset button all together.
Then run the update program again. If it is the original O2 rom then it should work fine from there. If it is the rom I posted then the update will fail initially, just run the program a second time without touching your phone at all.
Hope this helps.
No, I am upgrading from O2 website. I am sorry it not connecting to my pc at all. No sign of life ,
it only display USB on the screen
Try doing a hard reset by holding the power button down and pressing the reset button.
Put it into bootloader by pressing the power, d-button down and the reset button all together and releasing them at the same time. The screen should say SERIAL. Connect it to your PC and the screen should then say USB. Then you should be able to run the update.
If this doesn't work as a last resort try taking the battery out for a while to let the backup run down and start again. Whatever happens the phone needs to go into bootloader mode and a rom applied to get it working again.
Please, which is the D-botton you are refering to
The D button is the "Directional" button, in between the green pickup phone button and the red hang up button.

9100 stuck in bootscreen, hard reset no go

Well I installed card export, and got some errors, after like the 2nd error my 9100 resetted itself and is stuck in the boot screen with cloads now.
A hard reset is no go, just behaves as a normal reset, and I'm pretty sure I red about this problem in another thread somewhere here, just can't seem to find it.
Anyone got an idea?
The only thing it shows now is:
IPL 1.01
SPL 1.01
GSM 1.13.10.0
OS 1.6.7.1
I am also stuck on the boot screen after my ROM update froze! Is this device now dead?!?! Please tell me there is a way to fix it!
Press and hold camera button and press resett button while you holding camera button.
now you enter bootloader (tree color screen) connect device to pc and run update you had on your device before it crached
Got it!!!
Hold down the Voice Button plus the Camera button at the same time and hit the reset button. That takes you into bootload mode. Then you will have a USB connection to the PC - not via active sync. Run one of the RUU update programs and you will be back....
At least it worked for me!
as it did for me

[TUT] how to perform a hardreset!

To perform a HTC HD2 Leo hard reset
1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons, then press the END/POWER button shortly and release it. You will then see a message on the screen telling you this will erase xxxxxxxx......
2. Release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
3. Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.
Soft Reset
If i may add,
A soft reset,
1. Open the back with your thumb or finger
2. The RESET button is located below the bottom left slot for the battery and the SIM card. Use a small object with a blunt point like a toothpick to the RESET button.
3. Your phone will restart and the Home screen appears.
Correct me if im wrong,
Sorry im a newb, but what is the precise difference between hard and soft reset?
Will a soft reset delete stuff such as contacts, pictures and music? And will hard reset do the same?
thanks smaberg...
you should add the two other methods to the first post
there is the soft-reset button (little red button) and a software method (clear storage).

the "software" method (clear storage) is a hardreset, witch means you will restore it to factory default, deleting all info on phone...
the softreset only restarts the phone.
after flashing a new ROM i always recomend a hardreset afterwards, to be sure to get rid of all leftovers...
(Useful if flashing a rom and battery is less than 50%)
Enter bootloader mode:
Momentary press the red reset button on the back of the device, near the sd card slot, while holding the volume down button. Keep pressing on the Volume down till you see the bootloader screen. If you did not have volume down pressed as you were pressing on the reset button the device is just gonna reset and no change will take place.
Else, you will see "serial" written on the bottom middle of the screen if you're not connected to the PC via USB cable yet. "USB" will replace "Serial" when windows recognizes the device. Once on this state, you can press "next" on the rom installer where you have to acknowledge you connected the device via USB and your battery is grater than 50% and so on and so on.
You can start the installer on the PC prior to connecting the device in Bootloader mode. I don´t know what happens if you enter bootloader while connected to the PC (if you don't either, don't do it!!)
Note: I advise against using this mode with less than 10% or so. I guess you could end up with largest screened brick in the market.
To clarify previous posts:
Hard reset: Resets the device to factory defaults or to the last rom you installed.
How?
-Hardware method: combo of hardware buttons (described above)
-Software method: slide through HTC sence till "Settings" bar and select "Security" (top option). Then select "Factory resets" (last option). To my knowledge it does absolutely the same thing as the hardware method. correct me if I'm wrong.
Soft Reset: changes you made will take effect after the device resets (installed apps or reg edits...) OR you got to a sticky situation and you need to reset to get everything running smooth again (device shows abnormal operation of some kind).
How?
-Software method: Hold the power button till the quick list appears and press "power off" option on the top. You can also be presented with this option after installing some apps or after changing something within an app.
-Hardware method: remove the back cover and press the little red button near the sd card slot. Useful if the device stops responding and you are unable to soft reset by any other way.
Enter Bootloader Mode: allows for flashing devices in any battery state. It doesn't do anything by itself, just allows roms to be flashed. Some people have gotten stuck on this screen http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=599259, so use the search tool and read up before using. After flashing a rom you will loose every setting and file you had on the device itself. SD card will remain untouched (or so it should). I've read people advising to remove the card prior to flashing. Not exactly sure as to why. Files saved to the SD will remain intact. Apps installed on the SD card (aka. "Storage") will remain intact, only not registered or linked with shortcuts anymore. The device basically doesn´t know they exist.
How?
-Harware method: button combo (described above).
-Software method(ish): If you don't have to manually enter bootloader, the rom installer will take your device through this step without you having to do anything besides connecting through USB (activesynk, I guess) and running the RUU_LEO_xxx.exe file. You will see a progress bar on both PC and device as the rom is flashed.
Note: Reseting the device (turned on) while pressing a key (ex.: vol down) does the same thing as pressing the power button (with the device turned off) while pressing that same button (vol down).
Maybe you could transfer this info to the 1st post and clean up the thread a bit... Even, this could be at the Wiki section. Or better, a link on the Wiki to this thread
Hi guys,
I tried with both volume up and down pressed to hard reset, but not really successful. Perhaps I am doing something wrong?

did u press power while pressing vol up/down?
Well, for entering bootloader mode, you can do it in "software mode" without having a PC connected to your PPC.
You can just run EnterBootloader.exe from your device.
(see attachment)

yes, I did. But when pressing I do not feel that is actually "making contact" I tried several times...
I will try with the bootloader from above...let's see...
Thanks and regards,
Seba
If, for some reason, you cant hard reset using the power button, you can always press the reset button on the back of the device while pressing both vol up and down. After the vibration, it will enter the hard reset menu (remember to keep pressing both vol buttons till this point).
By the way: were you pressing the power button and both vol buttons with the device turned off? Cuz, with it turned on, you are just cycle through the quick list and vol menu like crazy.
Yep...pressing with phone off.
I tried with the reset button from the back of the phone and it worked.
Thanks guys...

Seba

Need some Help....

I was about to flash a new ROM to my T-Mobile HD2 and decided to install and run Task 29. After doing that my phone stays on the White screen with the pink square that says stick together. I can not get it to get to the bootloader screen and my computer does not recognize that it is linked by USB anymore. I have reset it several times. Any ideas?
yeah this is simple
pull the battery
remove the usb
put battery back on
turn phone on immediatly hold vol down + power(end key)
wait for bootlader screen
insert usb
flash
I tried the above several times and it just does the hard reset and then goes to the stick together screen and doesnt move.
vol up and vol down is hardreset
vol down and end key is bootloader
That fixed it......thanks!

Magldr 1.12 instalation problem

Hello,
I wanted to ask if someone clashed with problem like that and knows how to solve it. I had 1.66 rom eastern euope and installed 2.08hspl, tried to install latest magldr and I am guessing problem occured because I didnt installed latest radio. Now when I am turning on the phone it shows white screen and green logo and stuck. Tried turning of the phone and holding - volume button when turning on that didnt make any difference can someone help me to revive my phone ?
So you tried to get into bootloader, but the thing is you have to try harder.
Bootloader should work just fine.
So again, turn of your phone. while the phone is turned off, keep the vol down, and press the power button.Release the power button, but keep the vol down pressed.
You can try the other way: hold the vol down pressed and reset the phone(red button on the back).
If you want to use the SD card method to flash something you still have to enter the bootloader, so you must keep trying.
Forgot to ask: did you manage to enter the bootloader or not, cause you only said it did not make any difference????.What does that mean?
I already trying to enter bootloader for the five hours, so I guess it's impossible, also tried that thing with red button it didnt load up that bootloader screen. The thing is that holding volume key down didn't work for me before to get into bootloader even when the phone was ok but it did install all roms which I tried so I didnt think that this would be problem either apparantely it is... Maybe youu have some other suggestions how to fix it ?
If you can make the pc recognize the HD2 then you can flash anything.
But i think that this is only possible in bootloader or windows or android.
So this is a problem.
No ideea for now.
Anyone help???
But you *do* push both vol. down and power buttons and keep them pushed until the screen turns on, don´t you?
I didn´t get into the bootloader as long as I didn´t kept both buttons pushed long enough... had to learn the "timing" kind of...
