Pretty much what the title says. Any speculation over whether we will get wm7 running?
we have so many fine chefs in the forum, i say YES to it.
i would say yes, but i am not quite sure, if i am sooo happy about it. i mean, i like wm6.5 and looove the BA, but even in wm6.1 and of course now in wm6.5 there are many things additional that many people want for their phones but the os alone can't help it, many things are only available for vga/wvga devices and even if we can make the ui better and make it look nice, a BA will never become the same as the "big" phones like touch diamond, touch hd...
you can do a lot with the device and even add a lot of features, that's what i always try to explain to my friends. the software features of a wm phone are basicly all the same, there is a lot of potential in each and every device, the things that really matter when buying a new device is the hardware specs: wlan, accelerometer... things you can't install afterwards.
in conclusion i would say wm7 will work o the BA, but i doubt that you can use the full experience, since the resolution of qvga might not be enough for most add-on apps, and without accelerometer, light sensor and other gimmicks, maybe some basic ui features might be missing.
i think this is going to be a very interesting thread, thx hardingt0110

Well i can not answer this yet, when WM7 is publically available and more developers have fixes for core and driver issues which will emerge with the new CE OS it may be remotely possible
But for now my answer is NO, we will not see WM7 in Blueangel, the new CE core will be incompatible, a BA ce core should be generated via platform builder and the blueangel BSP, also all drivers must be rewritten from scratch, and noone outside HTC and Microsoft have the BSP,and (i only talk for myself here) i do not have such development skills to do it
I think the answer is may be work,I dont understand the mechanism of the internal properties and small details of the BA hardware, but for long time they said there is no wm 5 for magician(i mate jam),before like a month a russian developer called cotulla made it and now the wm 6.1 runs at magician.
really we trust that BA developers will make it too.

How many times have we gone over the same things? I believe that over the last 4 years, I have seen this post and thread (similar anyways) as many times as M$ has come up with/announced a new OS. Same reasons that xplode listed here too...
*different core
*drivers not the same
*hardware is different
and so on and so forth....
Have some faith people... our devices still pack a powerful punch and I don't think the world has seen the last flight of the Blue Angels just yet. So what if we can't tilt the device back and forth? Trust me, I have been using this acceleromenter feature on the Fuze and I am not that impressed. Besides, I am almost certain that something can be created to replace it. The only thing that I would not mind seeing would be multitouch screen, in which case, I would have to admit... we are screwed
Look at it this way guys, many of us have the SX66 variant of the BA, which means no camera. If we were able to get by without cameras for this long (that is for the ones that are still holding onto their dear BA's), I guess we can do away with a few things here and there...
Look into the future with sunglasses ladies and gents, it is gonna be a bright one
well the hardware may support WM7 but there is no software upgrade (core and drivers) for this hardware
take a look at alpine still have no upgrade from WM 2003 and it is powerful device
well in latest OS-es they al are based on CE5 (WM5 - CE5.1, WM6(including 6.1 and 6.5) - CE5.2) so the core is almost the same it was made run with few hex edits, and drivers are the same ones from WM5. For WM7 we now have new CE OS everything is difrend there.

That's true, but I don't think the Alpine ever had too many "enthusiasts" or at least not as many as the Himalaya or the BA. You are right about the specs though... powerful indeed, but I guess since it came out around the birth of the BA, lots of people went for the extra added bulk of the keyboard. Long story short, if you don't have too many devs on it, there isn't much to do...
My two cents
Yeah you are right, but i just gave it as example
We have 6.5 now because we had WM5, but we will have WM7 only if there is such rom made in microsoft and leaked in the process

Well from what I've seen and after working for some related companies, I really don't believe in such thing as a "leak", its done on purpose. Reasons? Free Advertising, creates expectation, free testing w/o risk to "the company", etc, etc, etc. Just look at it that way, and you'll understand me better

noone can give definite answer to that because veen the people at MS are no sure yet, but suggested date is sometime autumn 2010

Thanks Explode, was hoping that my phone upgrade in June might have been with WM7!! And thank you for all the hard work and advice you give us!!
Though I am a fan of Windows Mobile OS, but I still question why do we need new releases from M$? Have you seen any new features and considerable improvements since its release as WM 2003 in the year 2003? Answer is a clear NO, features offered in 2003 ans features offered now after 6 years are exactly the same. I am sure WM7 release will be a big disappointment too. WM6.5 is clearly showing lack of innovations and introduction of new features. Home screen of 6.5 is a big disappointment, today;s screen has made life more complex and omg introduction of honeycomb proved us that how simple interfaces could be made more complex, lock screen is buggy etc etc.
WM has been a leader in smart phones since long but why a newcomer like iPhone could easily push WM years behind the innovations. iPhone clearly proved that even though there are less features packed into it, but whatever is packed is reliable and very user friendly and thats what is appreciated by customers. We are still struggling to resolve wifi issues in wm. PIE or WMP can not stream popular YouTube videos. M2D offers much superior user interface though heavy on memory. I have yet to see a new innovative feature in WM. thats why I ask why do we need another version of WM. M$ team is just chasing features introduced by other players like touchFlo, touch zoom, multiple touches.. If next version of iPhone release in this June offers maps with text to speech directions, WM release will be pushed back by one more year. I am sure new version of iPhone will offer many more new features and I simply pity lack of innovations and leading innovations at M$ house. Chasing behind someone will never give a lead.
I wish M$ has hidden agenda for 6.5 as well for wm7 else I dont see any point in going for WM7 in the near future except if i want to say I have the latest windows mobile on my BA.
I think the topic of this thread should be changed to 'Will we ever need WM7?"
overall from WM5 to WM6.5 there are a lot under the hood improvements, but the UI was almost the same, this will change in WM7
well to answer your question i will say this (this is my personal opinion)
Yes i need constant change so yes i need the change to WM7, but if you as is it worth to upgrade to WM7 i can not answer yet and noone outside microsoft can at this moment
i assume we can end all speculations now as to whether HD2 will receive Windows Mobile 7 Upgrade. here are the sources
http://wmpoweruser.com/?p=11753
Quote "Great news for current and future HTC HD2 owners! HTC has confirmed, via their official Russian twitter channel, that the HTC HD2 will be getting an official Windows Mobile 7 upgrade."
http://pocketnow.com/rumor/htc-confirms-that-hd2-gets-windows-mobile-7-on-twitter
Quote "We just got an interesting news tip pointing to the HTC Twitter account from Russia. The tweet mentions that the only HTC device currently on the market to receive a Windows Mobile 7 upgrade will be the HD2. And we've suspected this for a while, considering that the HD2 meets Microsoft's hardware requirements for Windows Mobile 7. Here's what they said:
for Diamond 2 firmware is not planned. Of the existing communicators on the market, only the HD2 firmware to get WM7."

Yes, it will be announced shortly after Microsoft will announce Windows Mobile 7 to the public."

Windows mobile 7 will be released at the end of 2010. If i'm not wrong. So i guess most of HD2 users will be looking onto a brand sexiest new HTC device.
!
I think the HD2 is powerful enough and sexy enough to be on the top even at the end of 2010.
Also, with the talented chefs in this site we will see the WM7 on our device long before it is officially released. To me thats a win win deal

From what i see, the only limitation HD2 will face is the built in storage. most of us are already aware of the fact that the internal storage, though quoted 512MB from the specs, only 150MB+ is available to the end user, whereas WM7 specs require at least 1GB. the rest of the components are already ahead of time. the best android device in 2010 is only on par in terms of specs with HD2.

With this particular spec issue, should we expect that memory limitation to cause problems for the ROM chefs attempting to port WM7 to the HD2 in 2010?

Awesome news, I am glad I didn't buy N900.
Probably not as we can assume that the HD2 will also be on the list of test (and demo) devices HTC will be distributing to their techs and testers.
Same goes for Microsoft, they'll need some kind of hardware to test their builds on. Sure they'll have test devices of the unreleased kind also but you can't really use those in public
my point being, if the winmob 7 beta's start leaking, I expect them to be coming with full support for our HD2's since the beta will most likely be ripped off of one to start with.
my 2 cents

Heh, you know what I meant.
Maybe I am wrong but want is the point of having a new windows mobile 7 on our phone if we are just going to be use the excellent HTC Sense UI? Its like when titanium came out, the majority of chose to use Sense/TouchFlo as it was better in terms of eye candy and function. Windows mobile 7 will I guess have new menus and finger friendliness just like 6.5.3 but Sense will still cover up the majorty of Windows mobile 7 UI/OS. Do you get what I am trying to say here? I doubt it would be so amazing for me to disable Sense. I love Sense.
Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows if HTC will be releasing the 6.5.3 builds of WM on the HD2? I prefer this build as it is more finger friendly and looks cleaner. Also is the any Clean 6.5.3 roms out for the HD2?
Thanks in advance.
I don't think we gonna get any updates for HD2 for WM 6.5.xxx..!!!

If T Mo US want to fork out a fat fist full of cash to MS, they might, but i'd give REALLY big odds that they wont. Why would they? they have sold out in the first week, thats their investment back, now all they have to do is sit back, wait for wp7 and start the whole circus again.
No one is going to offer upgrades, I suspect. The only way forward as i see it for 6.5.x is as a side line to the wp7. Maybe the 'business' range, alongside wp7 as the consumer range.

I have waited for a new HTC ROM update and wanted at least 6.5.3 on my device or even better 6.5.5... SO!

I sent message to HTC. I asked when we get a new WM 6.5.3 on our HTC HD 2. They wrote me that they nothing know about new ROM updates for HD2.... So we must waiting, but if we don't get new WM from HTC in near future I flash my HD2
What is the point of these builds then? the only phone i know which will have it is that nasty sony ericsson trying to be a blackberry.
Great! WP7S is out of the question, and now 6.5.3/5 is out as well...

I think they are aming for us to buy the new WinMo 7 phones...
I'll be surprised if there isn't another ROM release. The stock carrier ROMs are quite a way behind those on unlocked phones for a start and I imagine there's a risk of losing customers to the competition if support isn't seen to be provided. My guess is that the various 'flavours'' of HD2 will be updated so that they have the same OS and applications.
Windows Phone 7 doesn't look appealing to me and if I want a locked down phone, I'll get an iPhone.
What does the updates do?
what are you complaing about from what i see wp7 is not very good. it looks ugly i heard it doesnt have file copy/paste etc. why would you want a phone that you cant move your files around. this is the perfect phone because it has all the power of the new wp7 series phones and theres a need to develop new software/roms etc. i think this phone is sick mate. im sure pretty soon they will get android up and running. forget wp7 i looking forward to dual booting android which whichever rom i take the liking too. my point is stop complaining and enjoy the phone.

This topic has nothing to do with WM7, This is about 6.5.3 which is an updated version of 6.5. Let not turn this into a 7.0 discussion.
Any news? How could be possible that we won't receive any new upgrade? Many manufacturers are upgrading their phones. Samsung Omnia II got WM 6.5.3, Toshiba TG01 will get Windows Mobile 6.5.5
Why HTC is so disrespectful of its customers?

They are, aren't they.
I enjoy hacking my phone but if the last update really is the last, I'll look elsewhere for my next phone. Mine still has bugs out of the box and I'd expect these to be addressed on a £500 device at the very least.
Leaving the HD2 in it's current state, with the underlying OS being touch unfriendly, is an odd decision. I wonder how long Windows Phone 7 will be supported. I fear another Vista. Will we be discussing Windows Phone 8 in a year's tIme?

Isn't that the point... WP7 will eventually lead to WP8, it's a moving target. If you want 6.5.3 or 6.5.5 you can install a cooked ROM that has it. The great thing is that... MS is continuing to develop the 6.5.X series and... the cooks are getting it to us.
My point isn't the inevitability of Windows Phone8, it's a question of how long 7 will be supported. Manufacturers seem to have forgotten that users have contracts with their phones and will need to keep them for 2 years or more before upgrading. The HD2 had very little support, leaving owners of this flagship device with an out-of-date machine after a few months. Other phone suppliers continue to provide upgrades to their ranges. I won't forget this when I need a new phone, especially since my phone still has bugs. HTC will lose customers. Whether they care about this or not is another matter but I'd aim to keep my customers in the current climate, even if I only sell each of them one phone every 2 years.
I'm waiting for a reply to my bug report.
We should all make some pressure on HTC.Send them e-mails, post on blogs, contact newspapers, etc etc...
HTC should change this their bad support. We buy a 600$ device and get a 6 month support, no upgrades (only bugfixes, and not for all bugs).
This is not what people expect from a company such as HTC.
Why o why?
The specs are good, so why can't we all get offically the wm7 upgrade?
I know there will be custom roms but no offence to the developpers, they are all ****ty. Every custom rom I had I need to hard reset my device every two weeks so that won't be a option for me anymore.

Specs are good, but hardware requirements are not met by the HD2, now what does that mean, well it means that HTC did not look ahead, and used the wrong button configuration on the phone, so it is outside the spec of what MS says is required for WP7.
So yes we are Officially screwed out of WP7 because of the buttons on our phones .....
I doubt MS is going to change their requirements for the very few existing WinMo phones that have the CPU and RAM to handle WP7.
The hard resetting you have to do every couple weeks may have more to do with WinMo 6.5.x than the fact that it's a custom ROM. I'm sure we'll get near-stock WP7 ROMs that will function much better than what we currently have. Don't lament before we even have anything on that front.
I don't think wp7 will even be a viable option for most of us anyways (at least the initial release). Very locked down, sounds a lot like the first iphone. I'm hoping they update quickly and open it up (at least every 2-3 months), but I wouldn't hold my breath.
That is why I decided to take the plunge with the hd2. Figured it would be a couple of years before I was ready to jump on wp7. (though that 1.5ghz snapdragon htc sounds interesting and apparently is coming to t-mobile...)

The reason I want to have It Is this:
I read that Windows Mobile 6.5 is based on all the old previous versions, based on CE blabla (I don't know It exactly anymore) so there Is alot of old junk that is not needed anymore.
The new Winmo 7 is totally new so therefore It should be allot faster then all the previous versions.

For me, tinkering is fun, but that is not the main function of my work device. I want it to work, and work well. If that means giving up a couple features, features which I can live without, then I'll play ball. WP7 has been built from the ground up with a very different goal than Windows Mobile, which had the original goal of bringing the PC to a PDA format. I don't need that, and the functionality that is associated with that goal gets in the way of usability for my purposes. If your use cases do not match up with what WP7 is capable of, so be it, but know that the vast majority of customers aren't tinkerers and tweakers.

"alot of old junk" in WM 6.5? Oh yes - like copy & paste, and proper multitasking? If you think that's junk, you'll love WP7.
iPhone OS v1 was rubbish. v4 finally has most of what you actually need and what WM has had for years. Same with Android - the first versions were severly lacking in many areas. Only now is it coming into it's own at v2.2.
Anyone should be able to see that since it's a completely new OS, WP7 will be equally as rubbish as the iPhone and Android offerings were at initial release.
yes, BUT WM still misses a lot of stuff such as gfx libs for better programs...
like ballmer says... they need to lure Developers Developers Developers somehow...
iPhone is #1 because of apps... WM is last only because of apps... and WM7 is taking sooo long because MS's management SUCKS... they seriously need to hire someone better to get thier mobile dept straightened... look at kin... what it could have been if only those devs were still part of wp7...

They put in Terry Myerson a bit more than a year ago, but thanks anyways for the un-researched comment. He's been spearheading the reset efforts in WP7. Some like him, some don't. I'll reserve and judgment until WP7 is launched and tested in the market.

I know there will be custom roms but no offence to the developpers, they are all ****ty. Every custom rom I had I need to hard reset my device every two weeks so that won't be a option for me anymore.
MICROSOFT PLEASE DON'T BE STUPID!!!!
Why does windows mobile 7 not on the HD2?

Be patient and wait for WM Phone 7 to come out! Once it's out you / HD2 will get the chance.

Well, yes it is now, did not start out that way, but a discussion is one thing ...
But when people have convinced themselves of something , and just want to argue the point it is no longer a discussion ...
1.) HD2 Specs are great, but HTC did not adhere to What MS has released as specs for WP7, so HTC screwed us out of an Official WP7.
2.) MS specs for WP7 were released(but not to the public) before the HD2 was , so MS is not inclined or obligated to change their specs to fit the HD2
3.) We actually have 1 too many buttons on the HD2 but None of them are the almighty "Search" button, so again the HD2 is outside the spec so no official WP7.

Actually, the Euro version of the HD2 was released before the announcement of WP7. Still, I'm not sure if HTC was made aware of the requirements by the time they were already far along in the design of the HD2.

I had heard about the 3 button some time early last year, but you are right that may have been after the design and during the production phase of the HD2.
MS did not make an Official release of the specs till I think January of this year, I think that is when it was.
Either way , you can blame HTC, you can blame MS, but, it is true for any piece of technology, CPU's that keep changing sockets, Video Cards that keep changing standards, DVD/Blu-Ray standards the list goes, on ...
I mean providers are not going to change what they decide to to with regards to their specs and requirements just because people scream, I mean why can't I run Iphone OS on my HD2(not that I want to ), because it is not compatible, even though the HD2 out powers most Iphones, and just because Apple says NO.
I suggest, instead of getting all up in arms here, and bashing people for their views you contact MS and HTC and complain to them, not that it will get you anywhere, just as posting here is just gonna start a big discussion, but not fix it anyway.

They put in Terry Myerson a bit more than a year ago, but thanks anyways for the un-researched comment. He's been spearheading the reset efforts in WP7. Some like him, some don't. I'll reserve and judgment until WP7 is launched and tested in the market.

Yes, sorry I meant more like management a while ago... 1 year ago is still much after iPhone released... they should have done something like WP7 from the beginning and if management wasn't an issue, I doubt we would see two different teams for mobile in the first place: Kin and WP7... I do agree however, management is seeming much better now...
EDIT: also, for hardware keys, all we're missing is the search button... since wp7 will have windows button go to the tiles screen which is also the home, we can map the home screen to search (Kind of implying home page aka bing/search)? If they wanted MS could have easily added official support, but i am sure HTC influenced them to do that... since that would mean HD3 sales for them... ahh if only i were rich :-/...

True, and I am sure some of the smart guys here will do just that for our custom WP7 ...

And yet, microsoft denys us of having a windows phone 7 update. This shows how simple minded and selfish microsoft is.
Firstly, the 5 button issue. We can take that the power button just moved down to the front. And also the windows icon can be the camera and the home button could be the search button!
If microsoft does not provide us an update, why not let htc create android for the hd2? Who the hell wants to use winmo6.5? Its like, SO. LAST. CENTURY.
Winmo does not have flash 10, only flash lite, and thats not good enough for us to enjoy full flash experience on the winmo6.5 browser. Skyfire and opera has already stopped support for winmo6.5 .
Nice, I see a very "nokia's symbian" like phone right in front of me...
Feel free to share your comments.
Let me be honest: I don´t see any sense in a thread like this.
If you hate Microsoft or HTC, or even both, why do you buy a product from them?
As of today, it is standard that you cannot officially change the OS on your smartphone, but developers and chefs like here at xda make this possible for you. So, where´s the problem?
I fully agree with you that it would have been a great step by HTC to officially offer Android or WP7 for HD2 - now that would have been an amazing (and probably strategically wise) decision of HTC. But, they don´t make such a thing happen. I don´t blame them for that.
The future will show if HTC can continue a healthy growth, but I think this will not really depend on some "geeks" like us. Eighty per cent of the users don´t care about such things. All they want is an everyday use device; too many changes are not really what the masses want.
Title change. People may get misleaded...

Hey bro, we were promised windows phone 7 remember?
Without official, nothings really complete, cause htc has the fully working drivers that the devs all want their hands on...
Fully functional if all the kernels and stuff were released to devs from htc.
I think most hd2 users want an upgrade but dont bother to complain.
Imagine if we had just one stock rom from htc... All cameras/camcorders will work. No wifi broken or bluetooth etc.
What more, others are making the switch to sensation or other preloaded android.
*I would if i could too

We were never "promised" any such thing. We simply had a Microsoft spokesmen saying something like "It will be looked into" or maybe somebody saying unofficially "yeah it will happen" which is in no way any sort of official stance on the subject.

I have Windows XP, why didn't I get a free upgrade to Windows 7. The new version of my car has parking sensors as standard, can I ask for them to retro fit it to my car for free?
We are entitled to updates not upgrades. I could have went from 1.48 to 1.72 to 3.14 ROM - these are updates to both WinMo and Sense.
The only thing that was stupid for microsoft was that they didn't officially or even unofficially allow the HD2 to be upgraded, not to please HD2 users but just to boost the WP7 Market numbers - these increased numbers would have persuaded more Marketplace developers.
WinMo may well be 'so last century' but it does well what I need it to do. The only weakness is development of apps. There is apps you can get for the iphone that you cannot get on the Android and visa versa, so are they so last century. Microsoft were way behind in developing (copying) the iphone marketplace and now they have went the full way by copying the iphone (WP7).
There is not a website that I have come accross that I cannot view the contents. Having XP I don't get to install IE9 and now IE10. Oh deary me, what can I do?
I've lost count of manufacturer's specific operating systems that just died. They hoped that it would lead to a vast app market (and so did the folks that bought these phones), only to find sod all.

I agree to what you say.
According to me what the OP is trying to convey to the people is that Microsoft and HTC both neglected the potential of a device which was both in terms of hardware and software potentially capable of running two operating systems being Android and Windows Phone 7.
Now looking at Microsoft's customer support. In the past in terms of OS upgradability MS was generous enough to offer people free upgrades.
Example: People who bought the laptops two months before Windows 7 was released were offered free upgrades.
Now that's just an example but we can clearly relate this to as to why MS didn't do the same with the HD2. Now Why ?? I don't have an answer to that and the only man according to me who can answer that is http://twitter.com/#!/joebelfiore perhaps you can contact him and ask him personally.
Now coming to HTC.
Clearly the people at HTC know by now that yes HD2 is capable of running Android super smoothly without any problems.
Now the question is, once HTC HD2 was released as a flagship Windows Mobile device back then even HTC knew that HD2 is the best windows mobile phone in the market... So why will they change the license agreement with Microsoft and release Android ?? I am not a HTC official but the answer to this wont be in our favor for sure.
Also HD2 was the device which provided the genesis of HTC Sense. And I dont say this but Drew Bamford the product engineer at HTC does.
His full talk can be found here: http://www.engadget.com/2009/11/23/the-engadget-show-003-drew-bamford-joystiqs-chris-grant-ad/
So in short...its a million dollar industry guys...a multinational company..these kind of decisions just don't take place out of the blue moon.
However I will be really happy if HTC releases an official Android Rom.
(Which seems kind of challenging specially with the unethical change of the Windows Logo to become the Menu in Android )
http://www.dkszone.net/htc-working-on-official-android-2.3-update-for-htc-hd2
also, who cares about "official" roms anymore!? the first thing i did when i got my hd2 is to flash an energy (winmo 6.5) rom on it!
owing to the fact what the hd2 hardware is capable of it is pure nonsense htc and microsoft cannot release wp7 for hd2. hardware button mapping can be distributed easily with the only limitation being a soft key for camera operation.
though we were never promised such an update, my view still holds. they can but they wont. htc has already made hd7 and microsoft wp7 on it. they wana sell it. they want money.
thing is they cant get a profit if they were to release an update. and the other thing is even though some of us are even ready to buy a wp7 OS update to hd2 if they release...soon the OS update wud release asap to the masses (think of one such site in particular) and we wud be flashing for free.
so ultimately its the profit they are after. so hd2 is a done deal and no more.
and since are at it. here is a slogan
HTC (quietly ignorant)
hehe
i dropped $ on the HD2 mere months before the HD7 release because the tmo sales guy at the ritzy tmo store 'claimed' very intently that 'oh for SURE htc & tmo love me enough to do the right thing' by upgrading my hd2 to the hd7 system.
sucker for the latest tech candy.........me.
it was my first large smartphone purchase from a featureless clamshell w/no color display.
it showed.
it won't happen again.
the cell phone manufacturers and providers are going to find that in a few short years that peeps like me are a thing of the past, and have to become transparent.
or find new ways to trick us.
gig tiers is 1 way...
imagine if your p.c. was treated the same as the smartphones are...
lol, i give it 5 years and voila! home internet split into 6 overpriced underpowered gig tiers...
i miss the interwebs of '95...heck BBS of '87 was cool.
btw i agree with the op.
entirely.

So you got a free upgrade from Win95 to Win98 to Win2000 to WinXP to Win Vista to Win7?
How many had to replace their perfectly working printer because it would not work with a new operating system because the manufacturer didn't update the drivers?
I have had phones that were WinMo5 with no official upgrade to WinMo6 or 6.5 and WinMo6 with no upgrade to WinMo6.5. I did get those upgrades thanks to the extremely clever chefs on here.
As I have said before that I think that microsoft were stupid not the allow an upgrade to WP7. Not for pleasing existing customers, but to get more users to their brand new Apps Market and also keep them when they went for a new phone.
