I already have the normal Touch, and I am thinking of switching carriers and going with the Touch Dual, what are your impressions, likes-dislikes?

My friend's fiance just got one and it is nothing amazing over the Wizard, except for the MyFavs display on the Today screen. Her only gripe is that Phone Pad is not an input option for messaging typing...
isnt this the same as the herald? just the look has been changed?
That is correct. T-Mobile Wing/ HTC Atlas/ HTC P4350 are all the same device
I currently have the Touch (Elf) which I really like. However, I am desparately wanting the Touch HD and wonder if the benefits of upgrading are worth the hundreds and hundreds of dollars. I'm sure everyone will say it is definitely worth it but, let's face it, the THD is not a cheap device. Also, what is the life expectancy of all of these devices?
its expensive, but once you've used one, you'll never go back to what you had before, especially coming from a 2.8''.
I had a 8525 before, and bought the HD as a replacement, but really had a hard time justifying the price in my mind, but after that big beautiful screen and how much improved the experience is, there is no way i could go back to the 8525 or any other qvga device again.
It's worth it and the price is coming down...keep checking the xda marketplace or ebay for used ones!
it is nice, charming and irresistible... if u hav the $$, buy..
Well, my Titan (Telus P4000) went for a swim last night and is now dead. Telus no longer carries this model, but is offering me a $300 credit toward a new phone.
I've been fairly happy with my P4000, so I wouldn't mind a similar replacement... but the only HTC models they carry now are the Touch, Touch Diamond, and Touch Pro. Of those, only the Pro has the slide-out QWERTY keyboard, but it lists for $650 ($350 after my credit). The Diamond lists at $299 (free with my credit), and the original Touch at $399.
So here's my question to the group: any thoughts on these other phones and whether I'll find them a "suitable" replacement? I can look at the specs, but those won't tell me how well any of them are going to compare functionally with the Titan (like, if they have sh*tty graphics acceleration, lousy bluetooth support, or no internal GPS).
The hardware keyboard would be ideal, but I can survive without it if necessary. The only other two features I'm concerned about are the "real" GPS, and a spot for my 8GB SD card (according to Telus, the Diamond doesn't have a card slot, but does have 4GB of onboard memory).
And of course, the ability to upgrade the ROM with something like dcd's fantastic Titan ROMs is highly desirable - is there lots of development being done for these other three phones?
TIA for any and all input.
Edit: Oh yeah, they have the Samsung "Omnia" as well, looks pretty nice - really big screen, really thin. No hard keyboard tho. That'll run me about $200 after my credit.
DCD makes roms for the touch pro now.
Good to know, although budget will probably keep me away from that one.
I'm switching to the touch from my titan

hi friends
currently i have htc excalibur and my budget is limited and i want to upgrade i have seen htc touch pro second hand
is it a good phone shall i upgrade it please advice me?
Hi there.
You can upgrade to a raphael because it's a good phone and I'm happy with it, BUT
1. Look if the keyboard slides out easily and isn't loose
2. Look for one which has a screen that is not scratched.
I myself bought a second hand TP due to lack of funds and I said to myself that if it has some scratches on the screen it's not a big problem, but I have it for 3 months and still couldn't change the screen.
Be careful what you buy because you might end up sticking with it and even if you buy something second hand, you have the risk that you can't just give it back and ask for a new one.
Overall I'm happy with the phone though.
I am thinking of getting a 2nd hand HTC HD2 still with warranty for about $440 USD. Its in good condition with all standard accessories and never been modified. Its factory-unlocked and is not the carrier-modified models, but the standard HTC HD2. Worth getting it to replace my current phone? My current phone is a Garmin-Asus Nuvifone M10. What do you people think of the pricing?
A quick check on eBay shows the Euro version HD2s go for around $400 in mint condition, so I'd imagine you're on the high end of what you should be paying, especially if it's a local sale.
The M10 is also a WinMo device, so you know what you're getting yourself into with the HD2. I haven't used the M10 before, so I can't directly comment; however, I have used a Touch Pro 2 extensively in the past, and without a doubt, I much prefer the experience with the HD2. The capacitive display is a big bonus and performance is significantly better than with the TP2.
