Gmail mobile certficate issue? - Mogul, XV6800 General

I searched the forum, and for hours on google, no luck so far.
The Gmail Mobile Java app tells me I do not have the right certificate to use the application.
Google says how to fix it:
http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?answer=78526&topic=10142
They say to fix, we should install this cert:
http://www.verisign.com/cgi-bin/support/rootcert/getrootcert.cer
So, I installed it on my Mogul, but after the install the app will still not work and still says that I do not have the right certification. I do not know how to view the serial numbers for the certificates on the mobile phone, so I am not sure how else I can verify. Do I have to do something after I install a new cert for it to be recognized on the phone?

GMAIL Mobile APP certificate error on T-mobile WM6

Has anyone figured out how to solve the issue with the Gmail mobile Java app and the "Your phone doesn’t have the appropriate certificate to communicate with Gmail" error?
I used to have a motorola razr, and the app worked just fine, so it's not T-mobile blocking me ... but rather something in WM6.

Actually, i just tried this the other day with My Wing, and I had no issues. But, I have had issues before when I was using the Standard T-Mobile ROM. Currently I am using the Touch-IT Rom.
As an FYI for anyone having problems with the stock TMO rom's ... after installing the PDAVIET TouchFlo rom, the GMAIL app works flawlessly, but I had to install the java from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1483665&postcount=24
i prefer to check it from PIE. my homepage is set up as google and it includes GMail (showing last 5 emails) as well as a few other blogs. Checking for new mail without even logging in makes it very quick, just load up PIE. I gave up with the gmail app a while ago...
Yeah, I have google setup as my homepage too... which is nice, but I like the ability to use the gmail app since it has more off the options you would get on the actual site.
Plus there's that whole "hell yeah" feeling you get when you finally get something to work that been making you crazy for the past 2 months! haha... similiar to my getting the resized mms problem fixed.
great results!
Have to verify duprade - I am running a stock wing and simply installed the cab, started that version of Java and ran the Gmail mobile app (no cert prompt or anything.....)
--paklids.
Glad you got it working. I was certainly relieved when I got it to work.... funny thing is I barely use it ... I just want it to work when I do need it.
I actually got this to work by downloading the file on my phone. When it tried to run it, i got the cert error. but i opened esmertec jbed, went to menu, install, local file and it finds the gmail file. Click gmail in the list and it will start the install.
Working fine for me now. You do have to hit yes a few times for it to connect...but this should work. let me know.
I do this also, but the only problem is that it does not display attachments, such as photos. Any ideas on how to fix that?
Thanks.

Problem with Facebook?

Ok, so when I try to update my status I get an error message. Error 102: invalid session key or key is no longer valid. Somethin along those lines anyways. I did a Google search, and a forum search but couldnt find an answer. So, how can fix this?
Also, I noticed that when I posted a comment, no error message popped up. However, the comment didnt get posted. At least I cant see it when I look at FB on my laptop.
Make sure you've downloaded the Facebook App (free, Most Popular) from Windows Marketplace. The stock facebook app is garbage.

How to install "My Account" app?

So, I reset my DVP due to some audio playing issues that were cleared up, which seems to have fixed my problem.
However, I'm missing the "My Account" app that gives me access to account information from T-Moible, my provider. I can't find a way to download it, and it's not appearing on its own with my SIM card in the phone.
Is there some way to trigger it to download?
It is in the market place.
I don't think it is. Under what name? I've searched every way I can think of, and haven't found it yet.
For the hell of it, I double checked--unless it's hidden (and well), it's not on the Market place.
It's the top result when I search for "My Account" in the Marketplace. The full app name is T-Mobile MyAccount. You can also find it by searching for "T-Mobile USA".
FYI it can only be installed directly on the phone. It doesn't show up in the Zune PC app.

Ah, figures it was so simple--I tried searching T-Mobile in the Marketplace App, but not My Account. Very much appreciated, PJfan, Zurvv.

Force Google Email app to work for Exchange?

Right now I'm using the stock Samsung Email program for my work Exchange. However, I'd ideally like to look at the Google Email program because I think the notification from that will work better with my Android Wear watch.
I know when I first got my phone I could use either one but that was back on 4.4.2 (I think). Since upgrading to 4.4.4 I can't get the Google Email program to work. Play store won't let me download it saying that it's not compatible with my phone. I was able to find a apk and side loaded it, but when trying to set it up to connect to my Exchange server, it flashing for a very brief second saying it's trying, then gives me an error saying it can't connect.
I'm quite positive I have all the setting right as they are the same settings I use with the Samsung program. I'm guessing there is something going on that's blocking the Google Email app from running.
I'm running a stock ROM, but am rooted.
Any ideas?
I'm not rooted, but have that working. Mostly.
I had to sideload 2 apks:
1. com.google.android.gm.exchange-6.5-1533254-500065-minAPI14.apk
2. EmailGoogle.apk
I'm reading these names out of my phone's Download directory - not sure where the links came from anymore - probably apkmirror or similar. The first one I listed is a different version of the Exchange service than came on the phone, and 2nd is a different version of the GMail app than we were getting.
Once those were loaded I could set up both my Gmail account and my work/exchange account to work from the same Gmail interface.
I get an ongoing Authentication Error status message. Exchange still works, but the message is an annoyance I have learned to ignore.
Good luck.
