Ok, so when I try to update my status I get an error message. Error 102: invalid session key or key is no longer valid. Somethin along those lines anyways. I did a Google search, and a forum search but couldnt find an answer. So, how can fix this?
Also, I noticed that when I posted a comment, no error message popped up. However, the comment didnt get posted. At least I cant see it when I look at FB on my laptop.
Make sure you've downloaded the Facebook App (free, Most Popular) from Windows Marketplace. The stock facebook app is garbage.

Ok, Ive tried different versions of the app, log out / log in, uninstall / reinstall and still I keep getting this problem. Does anyone else get it too? Does anyone have a solution?

When I use the facebook app come with HD2, I found that the app cannot remember my email and password even though I checked "Save Login" already. I need to enter them everytime when I run the apps.
Anyone faced similar problem? Any solution?

Close the app by hitting the X in the top right corner and never select log out/sign out.

Thanks a lot for your reply. However, actually I used X to close the program (although I use task manager to close the application instead of minimising it) instead of log out. I also noted that in the registry there is a key called "login" under facebook. However, everytime when I run the app, the program still asks me to enter username and password.
I am getting this problem also.
It all started after the phone cocked up opening an email from the sense viewer - I had to soft reset and after that the HD2 had lost all passwords, email acounts and Wi-Fi keys etc. Every thing is fine now I have re-entered the details apart from the facebook app?
I have tried re-installing facebook but that doesn't help.
I know most people recommend using the web version, but I quite like the app and this is a real pain in the ass to input password each time I use it
Any ideas anyone?

Same problem over here. It happened to me yesterday while installing and de-installing some custom manilla cab's ( sorry, I can't recall which). I had to reinsert all my passwords but the facebook app is the only one keeping asking for the login info.
I appreciate if somebody come with any ideas. Really I don't want to hard reset my device.

It doesn't happen to me at all. It didn't on my previous 3 wm phones. I don't know why you get this behavior.

I allso have this problem. My phone suddenly lost "all" settings, and now Facebook won't remember my credentials.

My phone has lost all settings today twice (wi-fi key, email settings etc), and still won't remember fb at all!

I've tried to upload to youtube using my HD2 but the upload always gets to 99% and then fails telling me "The service is not available at this tie. Please try to re-upload the item later."
Does anyone know why this is and how to fix it?

ive had no probs in the past uploading to youtube,but recently getting the same error as u guys too.

I'm getting a log in error within "Settings > Data services > Youtube" when entering my account login information.
i have a different problem. i took some video and uploaded it but can't find it on youtube anywhere to include my personal channel.
any hints???

yeah, don't hijack threads - start a new one.
Youtube videos can take 15 mins to process and appear.

are you logged in properly in account manager (its in settings then communication) mine seems to upload fine
No log in is failing, it gives me an error when I try and log in: There was a connection error while attempting to log in with CORRECT password and username. My wifi and data connections are fine and FB and twitter log ins are successful. No idea why this is failing.
has your password got any special characters in it?

Well it's now working for me but I've upgraded ROM, what version are you currently using, before when I had the problem I was on the original stock o2 rom

I had same problem before and I was so pissed with it..so after couple of times without solution, I tried to log out from youtube account on my hd2 and log in again..and guess what that helps on my device try it mate
So I just set up a twitter account because theres a couple of companies I would like to follow. So I add these companies through twitter on my computer, but I cant ever get them to update or show any of their tweets on the native tweet app on the hd2? Am i missing something? I have tried doing the update now and still nothing. How do I get them to show up on the hd2 app?
Oh, and I have also tried logging out and logging back in numerous times. XDA showed up right away, but others dont? Is it just because XDA is that awesome!?!?!?
Try following them on your PC first and see if it starts showing their tweets, if not I have no idea then.
Yea. Works fine on the pc.
Just checked my settings via PC and it says I have allowed HTC Peep access to my account to read and write. I also tried unfollowing XDA. updated it, but its still all showing up.

All status updates in the news feed appear to be wall posts to the same user (see pic attached).
Also Status Updates are just blank.
I've tried full reset, removing my memory card, and literally just installing the facebook app (from marketplace) and I still get the same issue.

same here, this was reported in the energy rom thread too.
seems to be an error at facebooks end and theres not much we can do....
I would recommend using touch.facebook.com in the meantime....

I have this problem, but it hasn't started working again for me! If I log out and back in, it will gather updates once, but then it will stop working again!

I have the same problem with updates, my app won't update at all even if I hit refresh.
log out of facebook and log back in every time you want it to update. or use your browser.
I cant log on to the damn thing. I know that I'm entering the correct user/pass, but I'm allways getting a "There was an error trying to log on. Try again?"
If I intentionally enter the wrong pass, Im getting the message that the entered pass is wrong.
So I know that my PDA has communication with Facebook, but is still unable to log on.
I'm using the latest 1.36 ROM.

I haven't had the problem but have you tried to login on Facebook via their site? Maybe they had a technical problem.
No problems logging on, in a web browser.
m.facebook.com allso works flawlessly on the PDA.

i had trouble with this but after the htc rom update its been workin fine, although i do have to logout before closing the programme otherwise when i next login it wont refresh or update and comments or status's i make

I can log on to facebook, but it seems that updating stops as soon as I exit facebook app: When I start it again, the only way to get any refresh is to log off and then login to facebook again. Also, the phone shows that the new facebook version from marketplace is installed, but about dialog of the app shows 1.1.0.17 instead of version 1.2 that should be the newest one
After the Facebook crash in september no version at all is working. In the meantime I am using the facebook Instant messenger (fim). It is messenger and also good for accessing facebook. Try it, it works also on HD Mini. See my other posting:
