XDA2S Schematics needed. - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

Hi Gurus,
I happen to drop my XDA2s into a pond. Managed to get it working again except for the qwerty keypad blue light and the speaker is not working. (However the handsfree is still functional).
I am trying to search for any schematics which show how the Philips audio chip is connected to the main speakers. (Tried the datasheets, but can't seem to figure it out.) Would appreciate if anyone who has it can share it with me.
As for the Keypad LED, how is it driven by ? I know that there is a LED driver chipset on the board, but i think it is more for the LCD panel.
Can anyone advise ?
Thanks.

I-Mate speaker blown

The speaker on my I-mate appears to have "blown". Sound still comes out of it but it is a bit distorted and the volume is low. When using a plug in heatset the sound is fine; so I do not feel there is an electronic or software problem.
So.... How can I get this fixed? Are there replacement parts available?
Thanks for any help.
btw, I am in the U.S.
How to fix it...
Hi,
I experimented sort of the same problem.
It turned out that it was the speaker connectors because they where not making solid contact with the motherboard. As you can see on the walthrough, the speaker is not soldered to the motherboard, instead HTC used a spring mechanism that conntects the speaker to the motherboard when assembled. Over time, some devices tend to loose this solid contact so the speaker starts to loose it's power and eventually fail. However, there is a way to fix it yourself if you already ran out of warranty and if you like to take things apart...

Good luck!

Re: How to fix speaker problem
This is great Rayan !! I _will_ try it and let you know.
My speaker stopped working full stop a week ago. At least the vibrating mode is fully operational but, of course, this has nothing to do with the speaker's functionality.
A colleague suggested getting a bluetooth headset for operating the phone through it, in case there is no solution to the speaker problem.
I do not know whether anyone tried this alternative but if they have, I would like to know if it worked (just to get a feeling of whether there is a workaround solution too).
Thank you Rayan.

Help needed about a HW problem, and some advice to all users

After an unintended pool plunge... with my magician sitting in my belt... I got it back to life! I started a thread about it: Survivor.
I got however a "salty spotted" screen (I can live with it) but after testing BT GPS, ASync, etc., I've found a extremely tricky bug: Phone sound is routed ONLY via the phone built in speaker. Bt handsfree or stereo headset use RESETS the phone, just THE PHONE.
i can hear music, use my BT GPS, but calls have to be done with my Magician in my ear... even while driving...Opps!
And then the bad news: Official "HTC" service refused to take it for repair, stating that HTC policy prevents them from doing so, when the factory installed "moisture indicator" has changed color.
AND THAT INCLUDES OUT OF WARRANTY DEVICES. NO EXCEPTIONS, even if you are willing to pay.
Any help on my call sound problem?
Help please
Not anyone with some HW knowledge?
Where is the Phone sound-output router (whatever the name) circuit?
Or any other experience about wet circuit boards?
Thanks in advance.
anyone got the magician circuitboard diagram?my magician got sound hardware problem.HELP PLS
Sound prob
Hi, I bought a phone from a guy, with only the sound from the headset plugged in working. Handsfree or not the internal sound and mike were shut off somehow. When I opened the phone it seemed somebody else allready had been looking in the same place, the phonejack circuit.
I used my 15 Watt soldering iron and some new solder and just tipped for a few seconds all six connections. And voila my sound came back again. Hope it works for you too.

no sound plz help

ok i hAVE A TMOBILE MDA2 i used to have sound, but it stopped wotking, i just upgraded to wm6.1, but maybe there is a sound driver that i need or something? 9before i used to have wm2003) which didnt have sound eather, thats why i thought the up5grade would fix this? also before it said turn on bluetooth radio.... i have no idea what that means
if the actuall speaker piece is broken maybe someone could tell me where to buy a speaker piece? i doubt that thou..
many people exp that the headset switch inside the audio connector get stuck
and their device only play out the headset
they fix it by inserting and removing the headset from 1 to many times
which can unstick the switch
or they change the headset connector

I NEED HELP,

PLLLEASE a i need Help
sorry for my english
Hi,
i have the same problem with my prophet. It's heppens half year after flashing of the new WM6 ROM.
Is the hardware dead? Can some one give help?
Best regards,
Paschka
I had a similar problem a few years back.
Since i often used the Handsfree over cable (3,5mm jack), i one day wasn't able to hear anything over the speakers any more.
Turns out that a metal pin had tired inside the 3,5mm jack.
Resolution to that was to open up the case, flip a pin over in the jack and it worked..
Unfortunately i can't provide you with any pictures, as my phone will soon fall apart from all the open/closing..
Hope it helps!

[Q] Note 3 broken headset help!

Hi, I have a note 3, and the wired headset is faulty (Got a piece of a 3.5mm jack broken inside of it!)
I have software runing that reroutes the calls back to the normal speaker, but there is a lot of issues with this! (like the sensor that turns the screen off if you are near the phone is constantly active)
If I root the phone, is there any way to DISABLE the wired headset connector completely (to stop it thinking there is a headset in there, even though there is something inside of it?)
Any/all help regarding this matter is greatly appreciated.
Thanking you in advance,
William (slim19198)
