Take your battery out for about 5 mins, put it back in and leave your phone off. Put it on charge for a couple hours, the hold down the pwr button and the camera button and press the soft reset. Now flash the stock rom back to your phone. then you should be fine, to upgrade again.

Try taking out the battery for a min or so.
Then replace and let it reboot.
tried that already..believe me...any other suggestions?
its not bricked...flash it with your original rom.
it won't connect via activesync. no activesync -> no flashing official rom.
Hold down the power button and the camera button while hitting the reset button. your phone should then boot into the tricolor boot screen. connect to your pc and reflash as needed....AS will not see your phone but the ruu will
...
unplug the usb cable, pull out your battery, put it back in, hold down your power button and camera button at the same time, your phone should be on the tricolor screen now (bootloader)
plug the usb cable in and reflash your phone.
Hey guys,
So I've decided to flash my mates hd 2 with win 7.
i downloaded the rom from the forum which has the loader (i think).
i watched the video demo on youtube and followed the instructions there.
when I boot up the phone after rom updater, I can't get into the bootloader! all I can see is htc logo and nothing happens.
What do i do? Have I bricked the phone?
Please help!

With the phone turned off, hold the volume down button on the side of the phone and press the power button. Keep holding the volume down button until you see the tri-colored screen (this is bootloader).
at this point i would suggest you flash task29, enter tri-colored screen again (bootloader), then flash magldr v.1.12, then let the phone boot into magldr, choose option 5 and flash wp7.
Hi,
I cannot get into the tri-colored screen now! thats my problem. I updated HSPL to *.HSPL, and tried updating the rom and this happens!
I have tried the reset method by holding Vol + and - keys with Power button, but that doent help too
how do i used task29 when i cant get past the HTC logo on the phone?

try soft reset. remove the back cover then press a blunt pointed object such as a pen or stylus into the reset button to the bottom left of the SIM, near sd slot, and release. The phone will then reboot. try to get into bootloader as soon as it restarts
hi, i tried installing the rom again, and i get some cpp error?
dont know why.
i tried reverting back to stock rom, installed it successfully, and now when I unplugged the mobile, it turns off. when i plug it in it turns back on and it loops at HTC logo i mean, I turns itself off and turns itself on.
why do you think this happens?
Hi,
The problem is When I plug in my phone to USB, it boots up shows a HTC logo, with
R 2.06.51.07
G 15.30.50.07 U
D 1.66.76641
written in red on left corner and holds on for a few seconds and turns off, and turns on itself.
end note: the phone only starts when I plug it to USB, else its a brick
Hello All,
Got a quick question. Attempted to flash a rom update on the nook color. Flashed it, successful, and it rebooted to nothing.
No splash, no boot animation. just black - unlit screen.
I know it's doing something as it's plugged into my computer it will try to install the driver , just fail.
Any idea?
Yes I have already tried rebooting it 8 times, and used the power, volume up , Home button.
Still cant get anything. Also tried to use the power button 15 seconds. I think i gots me a brick!
Kyle
With the charging cable connected, did you try to hold both U and Power button for around 20 seconds?
Try this 2-3 times, if it doesnt work at first attempt. It should boot.
I would recommend making a clockwork boot SD card and attempt to flash something through there.

Hello,
I'm on LG G2 Stock Rom on Kit Kat (4.4.2). The phone is rooted but no custom recovery as I just need "root" to run Titanium backup.
Yesterday, I attempted to update the 1 XML file to increase speaker volume. Upon restart the phone will stuck on LG logo and does nothing.
I can access download mode. So now, i'm downloading LG Flash Tool and KDZ file for my phone to flash all back to stock.
The question is now: how do I turn off the phone? Pressing power button will simply restart the phone - it never goes to off.
Another question: if I don't install any custom recovery, is there any stock recovery installed? When I attempted to go to recovery (by pressing volume down + power method), I was presented with Factory reset questions. I clicked OK twice and then Android logo appears (it seems like it's attempting to really do a factory reset) and then phone reboots.
If I can go to stock recovery, I hope I can access the storage inside and redo what I did yesterday.
Anyone can help? Or share some knowledge?
Thanks
The latest software upgrade was installed by using LGMobile support tool. I'm back to stock and finish with ioRoot.
Now, going to use AutoRec to install recovery (better to have custom now, so if this happens again, I have a way to access my phone data).
No answers given but it's no longer urgent now. Still if anyone found a way to off the phone when boot looping other than waiting for battery to run dry, by all means, please reply the thread.
Thanks.

Unplug the USB cable if it's plugged.
Hold power button for like 30 seconds straight.
To turn off phone ,just push volume down and power button same time for like 7-10 sec, it will be like restart , but keep them pressed until screen shuts off again (it will take less then 1 sec). Thats all

I didn't time 30 seconds, but I did press power button for a long time. Is this method for when you can use the phone? Mine is during boot loop.

I can't say for sure now, since I have my phone backed-on. But I sort of press these buttons for a long time at the beginning (when I wasn't really sure how to go to recovery mode). But good to know about this - (for next time ).
thanks both!
Only method i know to completely shut down phone in any situation is what i already wrote in last post.

Agreed.
it happen to me too when I try to install MIUI ROM.
Pull off USB cable and long press power the power button
Thanks. I'll remember this, if I got unlucky and stuck in booth loops.
For now, I installed recovery, so hopefully if this happens, I can still access my internal folder and do the require changes.
I just got my hands on a rooted 4.4.2 note 3 with safestrap already installed. I wanted to get Eclipse on it and get it going. I backed up the stock rom, wiped it, the installed Eclipse. Then, set it to Download mode, opened Odin, and flashed the unified firmware. Now, the phone will not even turn on. I have tried multiple batteries, left it plugged in for a few hours, and tried to get something to show up with Vol up + power + home button to no avail. Anyone with suggestions?

Sounds like a hardware issue to me. Have you tried removing battery and plug from the outlet and pressing and holding the power button down for about 10-15 seconds to reset it? Other than that, unless all the batteries you used are defective at the same time, I would say the phone is defective.

When you flashed the Unified Firmware in Odin, hopefully you used the AP slot and didn't use another slot.... if you didn't use the AP slot, then I'd be worried that something could have gotten messed up with the bootloader.
So it sounds like you've tried holding the volume down+home+power buttons all together, but it doesn't work any more to boot the phone into download mode....
You should check out the unbrick thread from hsbadr here: ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=54534374 ). It might help to get the phone back into download mode.
You could also try a usb jig to see if it would force the phone into download mode. Here's a listing for a usb jig on eBay that is less than $5 and the seller seems to have good feedback. The listing says it should work on a Note 3. There are also several guides on YouTube and xda on how to make one if you'd rather do that.
As long as there are no hardware problems and the bootloader didn't get totally messed up.... then if you can get the phone into Download (Odin) mode, you should be able to restore it back to stock 4.4.2 by following the steps in Droidstyle's restore guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46461911
