anybody know if theres a program that will make a sound when the keyboard slides out? i seen this feature on a Tmobile Wing and I was thinking if this feature may be possible on a HTC Wizard?

Is it possible to start a program when the keyboard slides out? I've seen it on the Touch Dual and was wondering if the herlad can also do this.
Don't really know if this is possible, because the touch dual's keyboard slides down, and the herald slides sideways. Because of the sideway slide, it already executes a program to set the phone in "Landscape" format.
With the Touch Dual this isn't nessecary, because you don't turn the phone sideways while typing, so you have a free "Key Binding" for the slide function.
So i don't know if it's possible for the herald to execute 2 programs if you slide out the keyboard.
But....... this also can be pure bullsh*t what i suggested

I realize this isn't what you're talking about but it is related.
There is a dial pad screen for dialing numbers, right?
hello,
i want the "Touch-Screen-Phone-Pad" for quick answering my SMS. Currently i have to use the keyborad or the pen. On my diamond i have a "mobile-Phone-Pad" like a "normal" phone.

Hi there,
Anybody found a reg tweak (or cab) to disable the power on when you slide out the keyboard? I tried the tweak of HTC's Raphael (and Kaiser) but it did not work..
I want to be able to slide the keyboard (e.g. in my pocket) without losing battery power..
If anybody knows the trick, please post the solution. Thanks in advance!

What exactly do you mean by sliding the keyboard out without losing power?
The question is, i believe, how to prevent the device from waking up when the keyboard slides open?
And that i would like to know also if it's possible. I know you can do it on the Touch Pro by moding the registry.

ok, now I understand what it meant.... But, just out of curiosity, what's the purpose of sliding the keyboard in and out, if you're not intending to use the phone? (Just for admiring the craftmanship of the beautiful keyboard??? h.e.e.e..e. )
That's exactly what the question was. In a bag the phone could slide open. because the phone wakes up the battery drains faster. It was a reg key on the Touch Pro but that reg key didn't work on the Omnia.
For now it's not interesting for me anymore, because the Omnia was stolen last week, but I think other users may be interested in this feature.

I'm really sorry that your omnia was stolen. Didn't you activate the mobile tracker service? it could help you trying to get it back...
Mobile tracker wasn't set up yet, too bad, but thanks for the help.
