Missing phone functions - no more!

I've been using PocketPC Phone Edition since the first XDA came out. Since then a lot of things has changed, devices gained more memory, became faster, smaller, adopted Bluetooth and WiFi. But one thing remain almost unchanged - phone dialer. It does serve the purpose, but a lot of things are missing and annoys avid cellphone user. You know what I am talking about
For me one of the biggest concern was absence of Calling Card support. I am communicating with our overseas officies couple of times a day on the regular basis and dialing all those numbers is really pain. So, while I was looking for calling card support add-on I came across this piece of software - MobiDial.
It's not a total phone dialer replacement, more like a shell for it. It does everyihng I want and excpect from a phone - calling card support, one hand operation, vibratouch, nice and clean interface.

As you can see, all buttoms are big and nicely placed. Also, you can enable vibra option, so you can actually feel when buttom is pressed.
At the bottm you can see row of icons:
Settings, address book mode (see screenshot below), 4 strars represent speed dial windows where you can also assign pictures, and call log icon.
You can switch in between them by pressing jog left and right and scroll in address book mode by up and down.
As I've mentioned before, the biggest advantage for me is Calling Card support. Programm automaticaly dials International numbers without any users intervention. Actually, you can specify this in the settings: always use card, ask user and bever use it.

Couple of things: current release version doesn't work correctly with Second Edition, but beta with SE support is available upon rewuest from developer. Also, first load takes about 5 sec, but then it pops up instantly, by the way, you can assign harware answer/hangup buttoms to MobiDial

However, I'm stil lmissing one feature: The caller groups, allowing you to assign a ringtone to every group or individual caller. Combined with the Sendrui pocketzenphone application, you might not even look at the screen to know when to answer whom. Any advice?

RingtoneX does this nicely. I have all my contacts filed under Categories in Outlook (like Family, Friends, VIP, Business, etc.). RingtoneX lets me assign ringtones to each individual or by category. It works perfectly. Since you can create any category name you want it makes it real easy. (Only thing I've noticed is it didn't like spaces in my category names like "Friends 1", so I changed my category name to Friends_1 and now it works great).
Anyways, it's only $7 for the software, and it works very well.

Anyway only one drawback, it would be really nice if you posted here a version without a signature, i mean now i know who made, so i don't see the point to see your signature in every sms, it's just unprofessional, more even a spam

+1 for that feature without a signature

But i've already removed all the development software from my PC ! Too much work reinstalling everything just to remove the signature ;P

just post the sources, i'll take care of the rest,
second drawback it only looks up first name so if have two michaels in my contatcs with different lastnames then i still don't know

I will look into reinstalling my development tools and refreshing the code. Regarding posting the source, i shall refrain from that. The last time i did that , someone had added a trojen into my code, recompiled it and posted it as a legit copy and "general" uses who got caught blamed me and accused me of intentioanlly infectting their pc's. This really did happen.

I have just refreshed the code to new version v1.04 . Only 2 small minor changes.
7th July 2009 - v1.04 released
- Changed display "First Name" to "FileAs". This will show both First/Last Name.
- Removed the signature "Developed by ....." (Hope everyone who requested this is now happy

I am using SMSBubbles and it does the same and more!
"SMSBubbles displays incoming text message or delivery receipt in a "bubble". If text of message contains a phone number SMSBubbles tries to find matching contact from the phone's contact list and according to the settings replaces the number by composed contact string. All phone numbers in a bubble are shown as links, so it is possible to activate them and then make a call to the linked phone number."
But decide yourself what to use...

Doesn't work very well at all on my Sprint Touch Pro. None of the ALL/NEW functions work. I get "read errors," and your program closes itself.
I was able to manually hide a message, but then I could not unhide it. I tried unhiding ALL/NEW/SELECTION. My hidden message did not show up under "selection," though, so it's lost.
However, your program saw messages/emails that it THOUGHT were hidden, from my Exchange account--which I find weird, because none of those are hidden.

I installed the trial version and only manual unhide and encrypt are working.
The message rules not working at all (Black list and the rest).
Is it trial version not working or I'm miss out something in the configuration?
Do you have the manual to guide me how to use this great apps?

it is a tiny app which you can run any applications on your PDA by a simple SMS, when you are far away from PDA.
unfortunately only one number can use for one command. I want run this command by anybody's sms, not only one fixed phone number. how can I get this?

I love the concept but it doesnt appear to be working on my HTC Tytn II.
I downloaded it primarily for the SMS organizing function but I havent been able to get the "Store after receive" to work at all. is it me? I couldnt find a manual or help information either ...
What I would like most is for my delivery notifications to go into a specific folder.

The sorting feature is working with telephone numbers (including international code) but still not working with Delivery Notifications.

Tried it mate and love it shame about the skin looks like it for a kids phone lol. but got to say it rocks and will buy when someone comes up with a nice more professional looking skin for it.

can u set individual SMS ringtones with it?

there ar still issues with sms when i choose to see whole message history, on a wm 6.5 rom at least... otherwise looks very pretty.

I'm having virtually no issues running it on wm6.5 build 23008. I love the kinetic scrolling, it's very similiar to the performance of TF3D, not iContact and PocketCM. The facebook integration is also great, as now I have several of my friends' facebook pics as their contact pic. I also noticed I misspelled their names and was able to update it with their facebook name.
Before I had to use a little utility that was only compatible with google contacts to bring over my facebook contacts, but it actually brought them ALL over. Resco's CM does but it only links the phonebook contacts, so you don't have a bunch of names floating in your phone's address book.
Great work Resco... now we just need an HTC-like skin!
Everyone that reads this should at least download the trial, just to get their address book updated!

I downloaded this app over 3 hours ago. I did not like the format compared to my stock contact app so I went to delete the program. I received a message asking to turn off the device to remove Program so I said yes thinking my Diamond would soft reset.
When the Diamond rebooted, it asked me to set up device since as if it was my first time using it!! (I said oh sh*t!)
I lost all of my information, like a hard Reset!!
Luckily I had SPB Backup which I used but I received an error message stating problem with cprog.exe
No Touchflo, calendar, contacts, etc. and no phone.
I am trying to Hard Reset but am not able to.
I am pressing the volume down key and enter button (d pad center) at the same time. While holding both keys I am pressing soft reset but I am not getting the message I should be getting. The Diamond is soft resetting.
Any help is appreciated.
I have Resco Explorer I purchased with no issues.
I have been trying to rectify this issue for almost 4 hours.
Why did removing the Resco Contacts app cause all of this?
Very frustrating to say the least and many hours wasted when I could be sleeping but I gotta get my Diamond to function.
I have not been able to Hard reset and maybe that is not the solution?
Multiple soft resets of no help. I don't get the cprog pop up but TouchFlo not starting. Says launching than tap to launch but nothing.
UPDATE:
Issue resolved!
I did an SPB Restore a 2nd time and everything is working now.
I should have tried the repeat restore
hours ago as I would have gotten some sleep.
When there was a cprog.exe issue, I could not find it in my Task Manager.
When everything was working again, obviously I found it in my Task Manager.
The question remains as to why removing Resco Contact Manager caused the issues as described?
Does it have to be removed in a certain way?
I went into Programs and removed it.
SPB Backup saved my as*, so 4 thumbs up to the developer of that software

I tried the new version, but there are still a lot of bugs/features left:
After a call, windows call history appears for several seconds, befor resco contact manager starts and furthermore, sometimes the resco call manager doesn't appears.
The resco contact manager has a really cool layout, but the performance is (at the moment) not usible for daily business.

...still does not support video call....

facebook issue
Unfortunately I am unable to integrate facebook, is there some specific steps to do? Because each time I try to log in into facebook from Resco CM it shows the login page and then gets me into my facebook profile instead of listing my friends, and then I have only one option on the bottom right : Abort. Any clues?

This is very good. Note that you have to reset device after installing but it doesn't tell you to. Error messages on launch otherwise - "this is not a valid app"

Pleeeeeeease tell me limit to 50 most recent messages has been fixed? if not totally kills its utility, what a shame. Hope they finally fixed this. Don’t even get me started on how great touch flo 3d grouping emails by contact is, except it can’t read other folders but inbox. No worries I'll just move everything to inbox. Dooh!.., only 50 to sort among all my contacts. What about wm6 great type & sort feature in pocket outlook inbox?, also rendered useless. Local search only, …yep still stuck at 50 most recent. So do the math, I have 50 messages to split between my whole phonebook, the majority of emails won’t even show up in tf3d for most of the contacts. Option,.. delete all contacts except 50 and pray no one sends me more than one email, silly right?
Why should a hotmail user not switch to any of the compets, if you can’t even get access to all you mail without the major inconvenience of launching a web browser? So now, just to work with mail I have to work in 2 apps? Hotmail Pop3 route is no better, zero folder sync with online, even at ground level no sent, or deleted items sync. Might as well be a seperate email account.
Really... POOM guys, whoever came up with that one, do yourselves a favor, send 'em to google or apple.
I really... hope after making such a big stink, I get to be all embarrassed and wrong.
