Installed Garmin Mobile XT 5.00.20w.
Everything looks great! But for whatever reason my speed limit won't display on the nav screen... and my POIs won't display on the map detail screen.
Anyone encountered this on the Diamond (or any other device)? Is there a problem with my use of Mapsource to export the maps to my device?
Ever since i got my htc diamond, i've been trying to find a navigation software that includes maps for middle east countries.
i heard that Garmin support ME maps, but i could'nt find them either. not to mention i'm having so much problem getting garmin to work with internal GPS.
anyway, if any of you guys got any suggestions please let me know..
thanks
Garmin Mobile XT 5 is working in middle east
Dear, my_xda_username
I'm living in Oman, have Samsung Omnia i900, using Garmin XT, and its working smooth. Even found updated 2010 maps for GCC.
Download and install garmin mobile XT from garmin site, make sure you are connected in USB mode.

No Warez on the forum
iGo 8.3 runs great and can also use TMC data from the internal radio
Mod edit: Warez link removed
@youser,
Which part of NO WAREZ didn't you understand?
However most Sat Navs, iGO8 and Tomtom support Middle East maps.
Mods, delete youser post.
garmin mobile xt update
i have a mobile xt working properly on my nokia e90 but i canot update the maps on it to 2010 can anyone help me with this issue??
thx in advance
having the above prob.... i have garmin install... but it seem like i dunno how to upload the map into it... can someone teach mi???
You need a map first and then you need to unlock it. Contact Garmin
garmin maps.
if you got the maps from garmin then you should have gotten a windows install file (exe).. that would load a program called map install on your computer desktop. when you open that program it will install garmin maps to your phone via active sync.
Hey there, Which GPS application do you guys use?
I'm using Garmin Mobile XT at the moment
SatNav...
I'm using CoPilot 7 Diamond Edition, which came with my device... superb
I am using IGO8, working great with my Diamond.
Currently using iGo8, had TomTom 7 on before.
I use IGuidance 2009.
I use Mobile Navigator 7.
tomtom 7 as main gps app and igo8 & destinator as backup...
Garmin Mobile XT

Garmin Mobile XT
Click to collapse
I use tomtom
Ndrive (the best for Portugal)
And TomTom (perhaps, the overall best!!!)
1. iGO Amigo;
2. Sygic McGuider;
3. Garmin Mobile XT.
1. IGO 8 (with updated maps)
2. Destinator 7 (waiting for destinator 9)
Will have to look into TomTom... everyone seems to rave about it...
which is best ????
TomTom 7 and now more towards Igo8 and also for ease of use and quickness Igo Amigo is pretty usefull, all work great on Touch HD
-TOMTOM works great When Igo8 bug (problem : out of memory perpetually But igo is much better than tomtom when it 's run perfectly )
of course iGO8.
I cant understand why Tomtom should be better :x
iGO has very nice themes with lots of functions including having plugins for it.
And you dont run out of memory as long as you have a lite rom like gen.y with lots of free ram. Works perfectly here. Have it also running on my navigationsystem in the car.
Will have to stick to Garmin.... None of the other GPS applications have maps for S.A. :-(
Was really interested in iGO 8, but no maps...
are these sat navs free to download and if so where would i get one at i need ione for my holidays coming up in lanzarote
1. iGO8
2. TomTom7
3. Sygic McGuider
4. Navigon MobileNavigator 7
5. Garmin Mobile XT.
6. Destinator 7
All running australian maps.
Sometimes changing of programs is like a change is scenery. Just like something different sometimes.
I use iGO8 most of the time, the TTS on it is awesome, have Tomtom as backup as well as Voda Satnav, which actually isn't too bad either.
Hi,
does anyone knows a good gps program, that doesnt need to connect to the enternet ?
i forgot to mention its windows mobile 6.5.
thanks
ohad
I use
Garmin
Ozi
Gps Tuner
There is a program that with it, you can easily download maps and satellite view from Google and use it in garmin....
I use Garmin when I want to go to a place and need navigation help while I am driving...but for other uses I use OZI because I downloaded all of maps I need from google...
Good luck!
