I have an iBlue 737 successfully paired to the HTC and have it playing nice with google maps, but the gps doesn't update, and if it does, it's over the span of 5-10 minutes. I could be blocks away, by then. Is that normal?
Other then the fact it usually shows me in a totally opposite place then I really am, it updates very fast for me. So far I am 50/50 on actually being in the circle around the needle. lol
Mine will update for a couple of seconds, then stop. Sometimes it reacquires, sometimes it doesn't. Usually, when it does, reacquire, it's 5-10 minutes down the road. If I turn the gps on and off, it updates immediately, then continues to track for about 30 seconds. After that, it stops and the dot stays at it's last location.

How long does your GPS take to lock on. Mine takes around 15 - 20 seconds. MAke sure to turn wifi location off so you can accurately measure the time.
Thanks.

My phone didn't get an accurate reading over 3G/GPS for the first few days of use. When it did work, my exact location would be off by about 1.5 miles. Magically, out of no where, it just started working and now finds my exact location in less than five seconds.
my GPS is awsome, takes only a few seconds to get a lock, even indoors
15 seconds is nothing.
My GPS took about 1 minute to lock on the other day which was disappointing considering the X10 would lock on pretty much instantly.
Although it might have been because it was overcast. I just tried it indoors and it locked on much quicker than the other day.
Mine won't lock on at all if I have wi-fi and mobile data off
It's pretty odd. What happens is I leave my phone in my pocket for a while. Eventually, seemingly through no effort of my own, I'll pull it out and it will be almost literally on fire. When I wake the screen up, I can see I have no cell connection, the battery is almost dead, and no services seem to be showing in the notification bar. Then, I unlock my screen, and there are a bunch of crash dialogs showing. Typically the one on top is that the Market has crashed and must be force closed. There are about 8 of these dialogs and as soon as I close them all, my phone reboots. After rebooting, I am in the same state. No services started and a pile of dialogs after unlocking, I have to pull the battery for several minutes to let the phone cool down, then when I start it back up it sits at the Rethinking Possible screen for almost 5 minutes and afterwards my phone is working normally aside from needing a charge.
Has anyone else seen this problem??
i think you should try factory wipe.
if no luck then flash it with gingerbread .

Reset to factory, call moto and request a new battery just in case. The battery should be free if you are still under warranty and they even pay for shipping.
My problem is a little different from what I've mostly read. I use my N10 about an hour a day, then let it sit for 23 hours. About half the time when I turn the screen on, I find that it shut itself down at some point. Sometimes there's no notification light, and sometimes the notification light is actually blinking (weird).
I turn it back on, it boots up, life is good. It doesn't freeze while in use. It also doesn't keep time well. Between the time and the shutdowns I can't use it for an alarm, which would be nice.
Anyway, should I try to return it, reset it to factory defaults (I believe I did this a couple months ago), or is this normal?

Sounds like the problem I worked on for two months, commonly called sleep-of-death. I ended up RMAing mine, and the new unit did not have this problem. I suggest you RMA, even though its a bit of a hassle.
do you have to hold the power button longer than usual? typically with sod the unit is on (hence the notification light) but will not wake the screen. have you tried a factory reset? checking for any rogue apps? downloading a new image from Google and flashing it may do the trick as well.
My Nexus Player exhibits a behavior that unnerves me a bit, and I was wondering if it occurs for anyone else. I use my Player to watch Youtube, and that's basically it. I'm running PureNexus 6.0.1. A lot of the time, when I leave the room, I'll just pause the current video. Probably about the past two months, I've noticed that when I return to the room...half hour, five minutes, six hours later, it will sometimes resume playing on it's own. Not every time, but often enough. I won't even go near the piece of furniture the remote is sitting on, and it'll just resume playing about 30 seconds after I return. However, it has never resumed playing before I come back into the room. It's kind of creepy.
You are not alone. I mean literally...
It was not happening before, but recently, every time i turn on the key, head unit does full reebot sequence instead of turning on immediately whicht was the case before. It did full reboot, only if i did not turn the car for couple of days. Olso, sometimes when i turn key just one step - it turns on - and when i turn ignition on - it again goes to reboot cycle But recently, all the time it just does full reboot even I was not in car for couple of minutes
Is there ans solution/setting for this, what should i do? Its anoying waiting full cycle all the time
There are only 2 possible reasons:
- Bad battery: It is winter and when starting your car your battery voltage drops too much thereby "under powering" your unit which causes a reboot.
- You installed an app that keeps a wake lock or you installed a badly written, badly behaving app. The screen switches off almost immediately. The android part of the unit is switched off after 4 minutes to do it "clean". If the unit detects after 20 minutes that it can't stop Android because some app "keeps it alive", the power is simply cut off to prevent that your car battery is drained in 2-3 days.
So check them both.
Tnx Surfer.
I have extremly low number of apps, so i ll check it and uninstall one i might no need.
First reason you mentioned occured in my mind, but i could not be sure low temperature is a reason.
Whatever causes it, its really anoying.
Tnx one more for ur eply.
I contacted Chinese people , thay gave me some latest update to install but it did not help, problem still occurs, neither full factory reset which came with that update.
Anybody else have an idea what could cause this? Its really anoying to go out of the car for 2 minute and than wait 20 seconds again for Head unit to go on
