Magician after approximately 15 minutes using shut down. - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 General

Can you help me please? I´m using HTC magician. Sometimes when I´m using for example 15 minutes after that magician is shut down. When I want to switch on, I can but after 15 minutes or I have to move with back cover after that I can sometimes switch on. I have the newest ROM version. Did you have the same problem anybody?

first of all please confirm whether it turn off automatically while in power (charging) mode. If not, then your battery is gone replace it !

O2 XDA Mini won't power on

Hi All,
Got a problem with a Mini. The unit will not power on. It doesn't appear to charge either. When I remove the battery, and re-insert, I hear a "click" noise but nothing after that.
The LED does not light when power is connected.
It does not hard reset.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Sonny
Update
Ok, here's an update to the above post.
When the battery is inserted and the back cover is off, the LED on the top glows red. When the back cover is put on, the LED turns off.
The unit will not work from external power with or without the battery installed.
Does this help?
SF
Must be someone out there that can help?
got the same problem...
see if you can try another battery, mine does not power on without the battery in anymore. The back cover must be on before you can power it on and the red light means that it is charging but there is not enough charge to turn on.
same prob. here...
i am surfing on the net of my XDA when it shutdown i thought it was a battery problem so i try to charged it but i've noticed that it didn't opened for a couple of hours of charging. i tried to reset but it didn't work. so i decide to hard reset my phone but again it did'nt work, and now my XDA II mini WM 6.1 is totally dead.... i also tried to flash my phone but the activesync of my phone cant detect my PC, and even rebooting my phone also did'nt work.
i've also notice that everytime i charge and unplug the charger of my phone the redlight blink on the "led?"(correct me if i'm wrong) for a seconds...
Same here. My phone is dead when I'm trying to flash it. Now it's totally dead. Is there a way to fix this?

you try a hard reset by pressing the camera button and soft reset power simultaneously

Wizard not turning on. Doesn't boot.

Hello, a while back I posted a charging problem, which turned out to be the Mini-USB and Wall Charger was bent, and before that, the Mini USB outlet in the phone broke entirely. Well, another problem has arisen, as finally got a new charger yesterday, and worked perfectly. So, I shut it off, and left it to charge overnight. Now, the problem? All of a sudden, it refuses to boot. Held down the power button for 5 seconds, 20 seconds, and a full minute. Nothing. Any suggestions?

nothing AT ALL? or the screen turns on and gets stuck?
if nothing at all happens, try the battery jump start method
Well, after constant trying at starting the phone, I managed to have it boot after hours. What happened? During the boot, where it displays Windows Mobile 6, a line appeared, and the phone darkened, and then crashed.
What the hell.
I suggest a hard reset......

....................And how can I hard reset when it doesn't boot, and whenever it does, crashes during it?
Anyone that's here help?
I'm currently having the same problem with mine. Hard resetting didn't work for me but you may as well try it.
If you can get it to start booting for just a few seconds you can hard reset it without loading the operating system. As soon as you get it to turn on, hold down the Wifi and Voice command buttons (one's on the left, one on the right). After holding those down, press the soft reset button (the little button on the right that you can press with your stylus) very quickly and release it. If you hold the soft reset button too long, it will perform a regular soft reset and you'll have to start over, so do that quickly.
A black screen should come up and tell you to press your send button to hard reset your phone.
I have similar problem,It's turn on to the logo that's always shown when boot and then it show the logo till it discharged.I tried hard reset, but it's still the same,i post 2 topic's in this website and no one help me
i too am facing the same problem, i was able to start it a few times but it crashed after a few seconds each time. i m gonna charge it all night and see if it starts. right now all i m getting is the red led. i really hope someone finds a solution soon.
With me it was my battery that caused the problem. Try it with the battery of another wizard. Succes, Rietje
ok so i charged it for more than 12 hours and my wizadr still didnt start.
I then got a NEW BATTERY and my wizard turned on within the very moment i pressed the power button.
So any one who is facing a similar problem should try a new battery.
Yea,this is a second time when i have this problem.I both A new battery,BUT IT STILL THE SAME!!!
First time when i both a new battery it was working fine, but now the battery won't help

try a battery frm a friends phone. u ll be sure that the battery u r using works fine. if ur phone still doesnt work then u need to have it checked.
i have same problem,,and i use T-Mobile MDA Vario
is it just battery problem or not?and if the PDA inactive it can still charge or not?
and i usually use blackberry charger to charge my PDA,is it ok?and is there any possibility my PDA can't work again?i hope not
pls help me..
Well for starters, charging your phone overnight will probably damage the battery over time. It's only the newer phones and batteries that are able to withstand extended overcharging times without serious damage to the battery. With older phones including the K-JAM/MDA Vario, the battery is meant to be charged till its full, and no more. If you overcharge it, you run the risk of damaging your battery and possibly the phone too.
If a new battery hasn't fixed your problem, the problem lies in your phone's mainboard.
Try charging your phone from a USB port on a computer to see if anything happens.

Broken X10?

Hi. After I connected my xperia x10 to pc, it turned off. When i tried turn it on again nothing happened. Now when I turn it on, a led blinks and that's all. Nothing else happen. Can anybody tell me what is wrong and how to fix it?
Have you tried taking the battery out for 10 seconds?
Yes, I have, but it didn't change anything.
This has happened to someone i know, after they flashed their x10 it just blinked green for a split sec.
However all he did and you could try this is keep pressing the power button and each time hold it down for 3-5 secs. Do not remove the battery in between, just repeat the process till it vibrates then leave it to boot up.
Hope it works out for you...
It did happened to me yesterday, did exactly what the post above says, holding the power button for a long period of time, and it vibrates and turned on.

Hi.
Had you done anything before it started like trying to root or update?
Maybe it's your battery.... If that happend to my x1 I needed to charge my battery... My battery level was so low that it took about 20 minutes to get my x1 working.... good luck!

I don't know. I bought it in this condition. It wasn't flooded or decomposed.
Battery has 3.2V. Full baterry has 3.6V, so I think it should started on this battery.
Maybe you can try and leave it charging for a while? Have you tried that already?

Now it's charging. I'll leave it for a night. While charging this red led blinks. Should it be like that?

It changes to green, but still I can't turn it on. When I push button nothing happen.

You bought it knowing it wouldn't turn on?
Yes, it was cheap. I thought I could fix it but now I don't know. Few minutes ago it turned on and now it stands at Sony Ericsson logo, but doesn't go any further. Just standing at logo. Maybe the battery is broken?
I reseted him and now again red led blinks.
I assume you've already connected it in flash mode and run SEUS?

NAND Phone-Off Charge Issue - *WORKAROUND*

I've been having this problem since the first installation of MAGLDR; The "Orange LED" bug, as most of us know, prevents the phone from charging while the phone is off, and the LED remains orange even AFTER the phone is unplugged. I've found a few circumstances where this will occur:
1. Powering down the phone with USB plugged in causes this issue with most builds
2. Same as #1 but when doing a reboot
3. Phone dies, then plugging USB will bring about the "orange LED" bug
I've found a workaround for these as I'm sure MANY of you have already, but I wanted to post a thread just for people who haven't found an answer yet. The following list corresponds to the items above:
1. Unplug USB before selecting "Power off" on your device
2. " " " " "
3. Kinda tricky.. a) if phone is COMPLETELY dead, pull the battery, plug USB, THEN replace battery, and b) If phone has battery and is OFF, power on phone, wait until "GO! GO! GO!" screen disappears, and then plug in USB.
I think the problem comes about when finishing the installation of your ROM via MAGLDR, OR it could be a bug within MAGLDR itself. It could quite possibly be the kernels, as JDMS' UltimateDroid ROM did NOT cause the orange LED when a REBOOT was performed...
Well either way, I hope this helps some people avoid this problem and gives the dev's something to work on.. Not that their work goes unappreciated
Or do like me. Leave the phone on, put it in flightmode and charge it.

How would this help if phone is completely dead? Seriously, this could be useful. Can someone try this and confirm?

I'm afraid to answer here as the OP might get upset, or tell me to start my own new thread.
Anyway. As I like to help people I will answer your question.
I bought a new battery for my HD2, and it did not have enought power to power on the phone (running NAND).
Not sure if this fixed the charging problem, but I removed the battery for +/- 30 seconds, reinserted the "dead" battery, plugged in the charger.
After some time (seconds) the orange battery came on, and the battery was beeing charged.
I left the phone charging for some time (expecting the light to go green when done), but it never did (NANDproblem?)
So after 1/2 day of charging, I disconnected the charger, and guess what.. the oragne light was still on.
Again I removed the battery, reinserted it again, and powerd on the phone.
The battery was fully charged, and I'm now enjoying 2 to 3 days of phone use before needing to charge it again.
Now.. I'm not 100% sure about 1st connecting the charger, and reinsering the battery, or 1st reinsering the battery and than connecting it to the charger.
I'm having charging issues but in a different way.
when i plug the charger to the phone while the screen is off, the LED does not light until I i press the red button (actually any button) to wake up the screen.
Is anybody having a similar issue?

This is not a problem for me too. The real problem is with whatsapp
when ever someone sends me a message on whatsapp while the screen is off, i dont receive it until i press the power button to unlock the screen. So i thought this might have anything to do with the charge issue.
I have no problem with this bug,he it is on the charger,so why turn it off is my question.....i just turn the sound off lol.

[Q] N4 only turns on when charging

Couldn't find any response or anyone with the same problem here. If it's the right place. Please, let me now.
I only can use it when it's plugged at the wall charger. And sometimes I can enter fastboot and recovery using the laptop. When I take out the cable, it dies again.
Tryed all stock versions (4.2, 4.3, 4.4 and 4.4.2) and all the same.
Tryed three new batteries and then go from 0 to 100% in one minute the go back to 0 and starts charging again.
I noticed that every time I try a new battery, it show the red led, and to start charging, I must hold power 10-15 sec then i can see the battery icon with the flashlight then charging. But when I press power after 15 hours of charging, the red light appears again. So i keep pressing and it turns on, but with the same result.
Any idea?
PD. Sorry about my english.

I am curious, how are you able to so easily swap out the batteries?
Has it always behaved like this (from new), randomly one day or after you changed something for example ROM, Kernel, some hardware etc?

After the first one, you are able to open and close it in 2 min.
One day it turned off and never woke up again. :crying:
Nobody? I'm about to put it in the garbage.
I've got a similar issue to the OP, I can force my phone to start, and have left it to "charge", but as soon as i disconnect the charger, the battery percentage goes down about 20%. if i then turn the phone off, I get a solid red notification light for about a second. to get the phone to turn on, i hold down the power and volume down buttons. If i hold down the power and volume up buttons, it appears to start charging, but never actually does. Any suggestions on how to get it to charge?
