P4350 " invalid vendor"

i have a problem with one HTC p4350 hera100 his rom is in espaniol and i want to change rom in english with HTC_P4350_WWE_4.17.405.2_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship.exe and say "invalid vendor id" i read on this forum and i follow steps of "hdubli" when press " e" everything goes ok but i have one problem when i press "w" for write rom the software don't show me any roms,(i have extract the nbf file and i put os.nb rename to os.nba ) when i p[ress any number it goes out! do u know what problem is! thx!

Do the HARDSPL and you will be able to flash any rom you want.

try and ask ivanmmj - he is used in falshing with uspl.

USPL, just like HardSPL requires your SPL to be 4.0.0.0 or higher. You had to run the stock RUU to update to WM6 FIRST to update your SPL. Now, unfortunately, unless you're really lucky, you'll have to bring it in to a repair center. I'm sorry. But first, try to run the stock RUU and see what happens.

Oh no. USPL and HARDSPL are 2 different things! thats why I posted the link to the HardSPL in that post.
Now you need to install your stock RUU to unbrick your device.

Well, the only thing I'm worried about is the partition tables being slightly different in the different SPLs and therefore, trying to write them with an SPL of 4.x when the device is formatted to an SPL of 1.x, it might cause a problem. Two different issues, but still issues none-the-less. But that's just a guess.
If you can place the phone into bootloader mode and flash the RUU, then you're right. Hold your camera button while softresetting to get into the booloader menu.

Maybe Try different RUU's to see if one of them works.
What is your phone company? Maybe they have the RUU on their website if you try logging into your account.

my htc is from spain do u know what operator sell this this htc!

I'm sorry. As I said, you'll have to bring it in to the repair center. USPL jumps a hacked SPL into memory. The problem is that you had a pre-4 SPL and that they're not compatible.

I also have a Dopod C800 with the same ipl & spl. Can you direct me to the POF Hard-Spl files that you used? I have the HTC P4350 WWE WM6 RUU. Any help is greatly appreciated...scared to death I'll brick the phone!

How i upgraded My DOPOD C800
STEP I:
Download the following files
1) USPL --- Flah centre.rar file from
http://www.mediafire.com/?axtm5qlmbli
2) Official RUU -HTC_P4350_WWE_4.17.405.2_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship.exe
3) Make sure ur computer is always power on...not hibernated
Step II:
1) Create 2 folders eg:flash and rom.
2) Extract flash centre.rar in flash folder
3) Extract HTC_P4350.... ship.exe in rom folder .
( Use winrar or simply double click the file. It will start the upgrade window ,click next, then hold.Go to the temp folder, u will find all the extracted content there.Copy all the content to the new rom folder. After that cancel the upgrade window.)
4)After extracting the content in the rom folder ,*****delete the SPL.nbh file ****
Step III:
Connect your phone to the computer, make sure activesync is enabled (green icon)
Step IV
1)Open the flash folder --- follow the read me file in this folder
ie
2)Run herald-uspl.exe on your computer and follow the instructions on screen.
- it will run in command window and ask u to enter the values..follow the screen
After 2/3 steps if will ask u to chk the device-- the activesync green icon in ur computer will become grey and the screen of ur mobile will be blank-white.
!!! now u have sucessfully hard spl ur device!!!
**** dont touch or remove the connection or close any program****
3)After this it will start the RUU program ,follow the instruction ,click update ( u wont find any previous ROM installed),it may or will show ERROR [240] : FILE OPEN
clik finish/cancel and exit **this program only**.
4)Now without removing anything open the rom folder and clik the ROMUpdateUtility.exe file and follow the instruction.
thats it. ur mobile will be upgraded. dont get panic...it will take some time and the mobile will be white in colour.

C800 upgrade success
Upgraded Dopod C800 with same IPL/SPL/RADIO parameters as mjose using his directions and it worked like a charm. Am WM6 with no issues now.

WHen using Herald-USPL - it is NOT permanently HARD-SPL!!!!
Please check the SPL now - and report....
if it doesn´t show 4.70.yang - then it is only USPL = temporarly CIDunlocked= NOT HARD-SPL

Poppamopps, you are quite correct. The update I performed was NOT Hard-SPL. I would prefer Hard-SPL but my understanding is that it should not be used on a device with IPL/SPL below 4.0. I am 1.9 both IPL/SPL.
Is there now a HARD-SPL that is safe to use on the Dopod C800 that is below 4.0 ?

nope. BUT try USP for falshing an official HTC rom with higher SPL and then HArd-SPL....

tried updating following mjose's listed method exactly, but failed after the screen went blank, and now my c800 seems to be dead (or bricked?!). can't even power on now. is there any way to revive it, or do i now have an expensive doorstop?

managed to do a hard reset but failed to restore, the screen now is green in color and showing:
IPL 1.09.0001
SPL 1.09.0001
then it's stuck there unless i remove the battery.
can anyone help please?

i'm assuming nobody was awake. when you were posting....but i could be wrong.
i have no idea what a green screen means other than it's green hehe... and have never flashed a dopod.. but i'll pretend it's a herald?
can you put it in bootloader mode????
soft reset(put stylus in the hole)... and hold down the camera button..
you should get the tri-color screen..

hey thanks! yes. i've got the asian herald. i got into bootloader mode as per your suggestion - is that the one with red/green/blue horizontal bands with a thinner white band at the bottom? ok what should i do next?

i was able to run the ROM Update utility after that, but got an error 300. checked the documentation and found out that i used the wrong version for my phone, which was RUU -HTC_P4350_WWE_4.17.405.2_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship.exe. would you know which one i should use?

i'm guessing your phone is not an English phone?
you need to find the native RUU for your phone.. Taiwanese Mandarin> HK Traditional? Japanese?.... if you can find it, then put your phone into bootloader and run the RUU file from your pc.
other than that, I don't know if anyone here has access to asian RUU's

doesn't look good, can't seem to find my region's wm6 rom anywhere. even tried to restore using the original wm5 rom from htc website, but still getting error 300. i think running herald-uspl.exe initially could have somehow caused some corruption.
well, i might have to visit dopod's service center soon.

how did you uninstall hard spl in first place...

by putting back original spl

What error you get when you hard spl?

it stays on 0% and never move then it asks me to make a recover

1. Unlock your polaris
2. Than Hard-spl your device
PS: Only use the hard spl in the link provided. Disable your antivirus before procedure.

From what I've read on a while ago on XDA, if your rom flash progress hangs in the middle of the process, it may be because of the fact that your current radio is too new for your 'old', original rom. You should try to flash an earlier radio before you flash the complete original (6.0?) rom.
And if you get it flash half of your rom, you probably didn't remove HardSPL, but correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not that familiar with it.

As I recall, the figures above indicate that you do have the original SPL. You should try to flash an original rom (if you don't have one, i have a dutch one here (wm6.0). If that doesn't work you should try to flash hardspl (hold the camera button while softresetting to enter bootloader) ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=351964 ) and then try to flash a newer rom.
Where are you from?

Btw. I forgot to tell you that you need to flash an old radio too if you're going to flash the original rom. (if you don't have one already).
And when you have hardspl on your device, it'd be wise to flash a rom which include a radio.
I'll be away for a couple of hours, so I've put the original (dutch WM6.0) rom (incl. the original spl, but I think (dont know for sure) you need hardspl2.0 just to flash anything.) online here, let me know if your figured it out.

Maybe a stupid question, but why can't you flash hardspl2? And do you have an unlocked device? You don't live in the Netherlands by any chance right?

well first i connect usb so the pda directly starts boot loader (the screen with three colours)
after that whatever (ROMUpdateUtility.exe) i use the installing stops to give me this messege:
the rom update utility has encountered communication errors during the update process . the program will guide you step by step to recover from the errors so you can continue with the update.
this happens with every rom i tried including the har spl exept for the original rom it advance untill 38% then stops and give me the same messege.
if i try the (step by step ) process it ends up the same way .
anyway what i understand that my problem will end once i put (hard spl)
or if flashed another radio all i need to know is how to do either of them from the boot loader.
i have been so needy but sorry for that i am just sad about my pda i like it alot

I dont think it changes anything, but you do keep the camera button pressed while softresetting your device to get into the bootloader?
Usually your device only gets to the bootloader when you do that, but i can imagine that when your rom update failed and the device cannot boot a rom, it stays in the bootloader, but not in flash mode? Worth a try..

Tell me what appear in your PDA screen during boot. I want to know the information on the first screen like below:

These information usually appear on the right bottom corner or your screen when you boot your device.

New Problm with Gene....Very Critical....I need Big Help...

Hey Guys I have a HTC Gene p3400i previously i spoke to guys like sumit and Krazy also, first i had a motherboard series of HT8X, i somehow unlocked the CID using Orefkov method, but everything was fine oneday i flashed it with a Wrong Stock ROM and thats where the problm started, it got bricked i took it to service center the technicians were very helpful they changed the motherboard to a new one of HT8X series, i tried to unlock the CID/Change the SPL to either Olipro or Orefkov both didnt work when i tried with Olipro jumpspl method it says the Update Utility is invalid, when i tried with Orefkov mtty it says cant unlock the CID or basicaly it says cant place the SPL and finally i tried the Olipro HSPL method it goes to boot loader shows Olipro 1.10 in SPL but when i flash a Old gene ROM the RUU utility says or wants a new RUU i tried it around 5 times continously starting from monday to Friday and totally it got bricked for 5 times also, i took it again and again to service center the guys didnt hesitate they were really helpfull they unbricked it, i even asked would i get my previous motherboard they said its already been sent to HTC for Fault Repair.
Now the methods which i can't use:
1) Olipro HSPL (which again bricks)
2) the Orefkov mtty (which says cant place the spl)
3) the Olipro Jumpspl method which shows a Blank white screen but when try to update using RUU says requires new RUU

Now i feel like crying i am addicted to WM 6.5 PLZ HELP...

tell me second time when u tried with Olipro 1.10 method then it will boot or u directly flash an old gene rom ???
first run vaibhav's gene varifier and tell what it says!!

i installed the original RUU now,but still the same..

which version?... did you remove memory card and sim card during flash.... if not remove and try again...
if that doesnt work try this - extract ruu.exe and rename ruu signed.nbh to LEOIMG.nbh copy to memory card and insert to phone... enter bootloader mode by turning on phone while pressing volume down until you see three color in you screen and follow what it says wait until it finish - Complete...
make sure you have battery ... and check if phone gets hot during flash period
if no success write again and we will try to help you

ok...
where did you download that rom... to make sure go to htc web page and download rom with your phone serial number( if you already did that skip this step)
enter in to bootloader and write what you see... just to make sure if you have hardspl or stock spl ( enter bootloader mode by turning on phone while pressing volume down until you see three color screen remove - memory card)...
copy Just LEOIMG.nbh to memory card - not in folder, it would be better if you format memory card ... make sure its fat32 formated...
Before you try memory card option show what you see in bootloader....
can you explain what were you doing when this happened

no it should say OK for every step until it says successfully Complete

the ruu is from the htc site.. the flash is complete. but no luck,still the same..
