Hi,
I have T-mobile's TZONE and using proxy to get to the web and it works fine thank God, specialy after they removed the DIRECT WAP, but anyways, I cant seem to get AIM or any other IM to work with proxy, did anyone get it to work? is it possible?
I know one of the solution is to get the $29.99 plan from T-MOBILE but thats no fun...LOL
no luck here yet with Verichat and Cingular's proxy either.

Well, I bought the Unlimited Internet for $5.99 (t-zones) and set it up with the proxy and it works fine via IE, but I was told that the only programs that will work under this are ones that you can put a proxy (HTTP) into.. is there any AIM clients out there that support HTTP Proxies? I really wanna be able to sign into AIM and save $14 a month >.>.
Hi all I couldn't find this anywhere so I thought I would post it as it worked on my dash with WM6.1
I have Tzones and I setup the APN as epc.tmobile.com and the proxy as 216.155.165.50:8080 and the internet connects like it should. So if you already have the 5.99 Tzones (as you can't get it anymore) then this is a real cheap way for you to surf the web.
This works for me with Skyfire and IE
Peace!

Thanks, I wanted to tether as well.. for some reason I can't. Is there anything i need to change in the settings? thanks
Hi,
This did not work for me, and not sure why. This is my first smartphone (unlocked Palm Treo 750 running winmoble5). Everything works except T-zones. I'm able to get a connection using the APN wap.voicestream.com. I just get errors display the page. On my IE options settings, I have no connections tab as someone said should be use in a previous post.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

You don't need a proxy. I run all the time without one using open dns dns servers. I use epc.tmobile.com.
I am having trouble trying to use web2go/tzones on my wing. I got 9.99 web2go plan and when i try to visit any site using internet explorer i always get a message that I don't have the right type of internet plan and I need to upgrade it in order to use internet on my wing. I have used both wap.voicestream.com and epc.tmobile.com with and without proxy 216.155.165.50:8080 it seems like tmobile systems are recognizing my phone type and not letting me use web2go on my wing. I cannot even update weather on my phone. Is there any additional settings I can use or anything else I can do to get web2go working. I only need data plan for very light browsing so I don't want to sign up for expensive plans.
Thanks
If you have web2go, you can NOT use epc, you have to use wap.
On my Wing, under Connections:
Name it something
Modem type is Cellular Line GPRS
Access point name is wap...
User, pass, domain is all blank
Remove any type of proxy settings.
It may just be easier to delete everything you have now and just add that.
Hope that helps.
T-Mobile Data Hack & epc.tmobile.com
I continue to use T-Mobile Web at $5.99 a month and I just installed Ivan's Windows Mobile 6.5 Alpha 11 and added the new APN - epc.tmobile.com and it works just fine. In fact, when I installed his ROM the first time I had no problems accessing GPRS, but the next time I installed it, I couldn't access the internet. Under Connections 6.5 had "wap.voicestream.com" , "[email protected]" and "[email protected]". It was there I added the new APN and ran IE6 Mobile. All that said, if there is a difference other than the price between T-Mobile Web and web2go, I don't know. Before all the changes were made to data plans, I assumed T-Mobile Web was unlimited and I use the hell out of it when I was at work listening to then XM radio and SkyFM. I do know over on MyT-Mobile as on the Wing you can monitor the amount of data used, whether they're enforcing a FAP on the new data plans, I simply don't know. I've never had any problems with my plan and have noted the new APN is faster than the old voicestream wap. Take care!
have sed all ways of web2go apn connections internet2 epc etc. As of today when I try to visit a website, it redirect me to wipcore.t-mobile.com or something like that and it says that I must subscribe to the webConnect but why would I want to pay more and do that? Any help/ideas what I can do?
