Hi!
I want to upgrade my HTC P3300's ROM. I'm using Windows Vista Business.
There's any rom upgrade utility working with Vista ?
Thanks
And thats a good question.
For HTC Wizard there is, dunno if that one is different with a flash util for Artemis...
Anyone?
The trouble is caused by the drivers for Vista, Vista uses the Mobile Device Centre drivers that do not work in boot-loader mode.
So to get round it you have to install the drivers that do work in bootloader mode, it is for the Hermes but still works:

Hi,
There is a tool which should help! It worked for me. It's called UNI_ExitBootloader
(ftp://xda:[email protected]/Universal/Tools_and_Programs/uni_exitbootloader.zip)
1. download the tool
2. disconnect USB cable from your device
3. disable USB connection in ActiveSync
4. reconnect USB cable
5. wait some 30 seconds
6. run the tool
7. If successful, device will boot itself.

Super duper!
Been having sleepless nights. Thanks a lot for your solution. Worked like a charm!
Dam not work with win7 64bit, you have another solution?
Doesn't work in vista or 7
How to disable ActiveSync?
When I connect my HP to PC it recognizes as "HP USB Sync".
I tried to disable that thing in Device Manager, but still getting error from "uni_exitbootloader" program (cannot open usb port... and so on)
What can I do? Please, urgently need advice!
P.S. I firstly tried to update it's rom to english, with sable ruu, got error something like "fail to initialize"; and then my hw6915 stuck in the bootloader screen. tried hard reset, but after "clear ok" it just got back to that HP screen.......
EDIT --> I have just found out that these all methods doesn't work with Windows Vista or Windows 7, so I'm going to get to my brother's computer with XP soon to try another time
So every time you do the flash rom will have to borrow your brother's computer ??
why do not you use WMDC 6.1 for Windows Vista that also supports and works in Windows 7 ??
try to check at http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=14

This one for WM 6.1, what could i do with it? hw6915 is WM 5.1.
Another cool thing, that i have just flashed it with uk rom successfully, with xp.
btw, the computer with xp is half-mine not only brother's.
Any solutions? my computer will recognize at first but then it says not connected and wont let me acess the files on my wing. Im using Windows Vista btw.
Can somebody help me with this problem?
I am using vista also.. try soft reseting it.
I tried soft resetting it and hard resetting it and it still doesn't work. Now I'm contemplating ever getting Touch It 2.3
Try going in settings->connections->usb to pc and either check it if its not checked or uncheck it if it is checked
Mine did this too last week. Reflash your phone with the official Tmobile RUU posted in the forum.
My steps were:
-Go into bootloader mannually (camera button plus voice command button and finally with those two press, click in the hole (between memory and volume key) with your styles)
-After it seems that pc loaded up some kind of driver, double click on the official Tmobile RUU and flash your phone to stock form.
this should work and goodluck...
I've connected my Wing on my friend's computer and it's recognized by his ActiveSync but its Windows XP he's using. Is there any way i can reinstall or change some settings on my computer so that it can recognize my Wing again? I really prefer the windows xp activesync over the windows vista version but theres no way of getting the old activesync on vista.
Finally!! I fixed the problem! I had to install version 6.1 from microsoft's website, and everything is good now. thanks for the help everybody.
do you have the link to that update im having the same problem
nm i got it, thanks for the solution though
Hello everyone!
I got a HTC Prophet with english windows mobile. I've wanted to install a german ROM, and used this:
http://www.handy-faq.de/forum/htc_p...ophet_touch_ix_rom_deutsch_download_1005.html
I've runned a .bat file and the installation startet. But then i closed the window with the installation insinde (undeliberate). and now the prophet won't load windows. it always stops at the boot screen, where the infos are:
IPL 2.15.0001
SPL 2.20.0001
I can run the BootLoader mode and connect the Prophet to my PC. on the left bottom it says "USB" but when I run the installation again it says "no device connected".
i got windows 7 ultimate in 32bit version.
I hope you can help me, 'cause it's the phone from my dad and i won't get him angry
Greetings from Germany!

Hi this is a easy problem to fix dont worry but first u need to read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=353547 you need to hardspl your device first then install the NVID rom in the link read the recovery solutions carefully oh and about active synce try this
Go in to Active Synce settings and uncheck allow usb connections that will help to detect your device when flashing the NVID rom after that just use any flashing tool to install the rom on your device problem solved just read the link if u dont understand as this happened to all of us before so we understand how u must feel
Hope this helps
Heya and thanks for your answer!
I did read the terms of use in the post u linked, but I got always the same problem:
No device is found. on the BootLoaderScreen it says "USB" and Windows 7 detected the Mobile Phone.
But the HardSPL didn't found the phone
I try to take the battery out and put it in after one minute, but it didn't work

Did you try flashing the NVID - AKU 2.* WM5 rom for recovering your Prophet on your device first then hardSPL your device? you need to install the rom first then hardspl it after that flash any other rom here http://www.4shared.com/file/57952591/3955ed98/NVID_RUU.html?dirPwdVerified=2948f2e flash this to your device and remember to uncheck allow USB Connections in active sync and just it should work if u still need more help al be happy to help you out and since ur using windows 7 use this tool to flash any rom to your device ok http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=534707 since am using both vista and xp and they work well so remember flash the NVID rom first then hardspl and try flashing back the rom you wanted to use on your device ok

Sorry but first you need to recover your device by first installing the NVID rom and good u have windows xp did you did what i said about active sync uncheck allow usb connects then flash the NIV rom then use lazytool thats what i use on my windows xp to flash the rom u wana use what happened when u try to install the NVID rom? first you must manualy go too the bootloader menu in other to flash it you know reset the device and hold both the commanager and camura button until you enter the bootloader menu then flash the NVID rom if it works then do a hardspl then flash any roms using lazytool it should work when u said the phone rebooted but windows did not run what did you see on the screen? after the reboot? also the NVID rom is windows mobile 5 so you device should boot up windows but al look into this for you ok
PS this is important you should know that your device is G3 or G4 and from the looks of you spl it looks like a G4 device this is very important beouse if u flashed with G3 you can damage ur device but dont worry the guys here have managed to fix this so if ur flashing any rom use the G4 option ok but please look over these instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=353547 as they helped me when i had the same problem

Yes.

You can use Windows 7 to update to any ROM, whether shipped or cooked. I can't even sync with Windows Mobile Device Centre due to drivers not loading and I can still get the phone into bootloader mode and change ROMs of my choice. I also successfully installed Hard SPL using my Windows 7 computer (64 bit version).
Somehow, when the HD2 goes into bootloader mode, Windows 7 recognises it properly and loads the correct drivers. From there, it's an easy step to use the RUU (ROM Update Utility) to upload ROMs and Radios.
I can't promise you'll be able to sync your HD2 though so if you can, congratulations - I've spent 4 weeks trying to fix the drivers not loading issue with no success.
i am able to sync my HD2 to windows 7 64bit.
i just didnt knwo if it was possible to ROM update with windows 7
thanx for the info

if you cant find the usefullness in the wiki, firstly
Basicly the ROM hasent loaded propperly, but your uni can be saved.
So firstly,
what Operating System (Windows XP / Vista / 7)
1. Windows XP - good, as you can reflash quickly
2. need to load Windows XP as a VM (Vista)
3. Need to load Windows XP as a vm (Vista)
I would download a different ROM just to reflash with, say a tomal rom
then connect your uni to your pc, and let activesync give its nodification, then open the RUU and your uni should load the rom you have selcted to flash,
Flip, that shows how much of an ORD i have... now am writing tuts on re-flashing phone... HELP HELP
