Well I did a few minutes of search and came up with this list. Im sure this is only a fraction of whats out there. For ebay, goto the seller's site and seach for kaiser battery or tilt battery. I didnt put the indiviual item because it'll get lost b/c ebay dont keep the items forever. You're welcome to add to the list but just follow the same format like below. Some are the same seller but using different name.

So which of these would be the biggest I could go without having to put a new backplate on it?
should be the 1650's i beleive
Is the 3000 mah Mugen battery thicker than the 2400/2700/2800 mah batteries by other manufacturers or is it the same size as those other extended batteries?
Anyone have any experience with those inexpensive 1600 mah from ebay?
I need another batter as mine gets down to about 10% in about 9-10 hoursand that with light us. ;(
Mugen claim to have thinner battery than the rest of the extended battery. We'll have to wait and see the actual product.
OK, I bit. Got this very inexpensive 1650mAh battery for my Tilt.

I figure for $14.59 shipped and insured, there's not much to lose. I'll find out in a few more days or so.
I'm I the only one to dare and buy this?
I got a 2800mah extended battery from http://myworld.ebay.com/lifestyle0806/ but so far my DynaPack seems to out last it. Is anyone getting the same result as me? I probably need to cycle it a few times.

wish i had found that earlier.
If they have them in stock now i should have just bought it from them but i got an email from mugen saying this" We expect to dispatch our order at the end of the second week of December." on my pre order with mugen. my order came out to about $86.55 free shipping from the mugen site but who knows how long it will take to get from the Netherlands to the US. If the picture of this battery on that ebay sellers site is accurate It looks like it has the GPS flap. But no way to tell unless someone gives a review.
I ordered 2800 from here

Sucks the day I get this one, the 3000 shows up.
Great idea, cproaudio. Sticky material in my mind.
It might be good to get not only the info but also quality ratings when possible.

The battery i got looks exactly like the one pictured in igonemobile but mine is rated at 2800mah and has a metal plate on the bottom. But this damn thing last only as long as my OEM battery. Here's what mine looks like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvPlkVjoRF0 If I had to give it a rating I would rate it 3 out of 10 because I like the back door. It raises the phone off the surface so the speaker doesnt sound muffled.
I ordered a 2800mah from
http://www.thepocketsolution.com/PSI-42624.html
I ordered it because it looked like the cover was dull like the origional. Maybe i can post a pic too when I get it.
I did a basic test just now.
Ran it fully down to zero over night
Charged fully with phone off
Turned phone on, wifi on, BT on, Beam on, TomTom(GPS)on,
3G service area
Battery was down to 75% in less than 30mins
Which means a 2600mah battery would be totally flat within 2hrs of heavy usage? wtf?
maybee needs a breakin? Even at double that time its only 4 hrs. I take 4 hr trips with TomTom and 3g the whole way and typically have 25% left at the end with stock battery
Heres what I got...

Ok I just did it with stock battery to compare.
Ran it totally dead
Charged to 100% with phone off
Turned phone on
BT ON
WIFI ON
BEAM ON
TomTom ON (gps)
I went a bit longer with this. Checked it at 40mins
84% charged...for 1350mah
75% charged for 2600mah
under same conditions. I smell rubbish
i have this battery

and i made some tests me too to see when the power drain comes..
they kid as with all these big batteries
the 1600mA i have it's much much better than this monster
the only diference is the weight and the dimensions...
Looks like I may be in for a surprise too.

That's silly. It would fit in the fashionable case that is provided for you.
And since the Wizard is strapped to my belt on my right side, I might start walking all crooked-like.
dang that's pretty ugly - and I bet that edge will get snagged on everything. Shame, larger battery would be nice, though I haven't had any need for one so far, if I were to let BT and WiFi on a lot, I bet I would %)
good joke!
I will prefer to use universal instead if this battery caming with original package.
no one wull buy it rite ?
I was tempted, but I did say in whatever thread that was in that I'd rather like to see the pictures first. I knew they said it was going to need a new cover, but this is a whole new rooftop
I'd much sooner go with the Adapt Charge & Go. Takes a single AA battery. Won't do much for extending the battery for long periods, but if you just need a quick fix if your battery is otherwise near-dead and you're not near any wall socket or computer to charge with, it'd be ideal.
There's a review at the Dutch PocketInfo site. I can translate if needed, but I think the pictures roughly say it all; there's no real benchmarks to speak of (I blame the battery analyzing apps for this - none will graph recharging. boohiss.)
http://www.pocketinfo.nl/artikel/5329
Next to a wizard it's still bulky, but at least it won't be permanently attached
Another alternative is to get a 2nd regular battery. Charge one, replace with the other, keep the charged one in whatever carrying case you've got, and if you really need it - turn off device and replace battery. It's a hassle either way
zeboxx,
Please keep an eye on that. Never seen it before and I was hoping it would come out (wouldn't a 9v version be better?).
Can't tell what the price or availability is but definately want one!
thanks for the link!
McHale.. there's another variant out there that uses 4 AA batteries - gets a bit bulky, though. It is indeed curious that there doesn't seem to be a 9V battery type
Looks ugly...I wonder why they had to make it so big. There are other 2000 and + out looking thiner.
heh.. gluing two of the original batteries together is thinner Problem is you can't do that :x Stupid 'smart' batteries
Just ordered a 2200mah battery from below link. looks thinner and only 25 pounds. (money not weight !) will let you know how I get on.
I luv it when you order new stuff

meschle - if you can post a picture after hooking it up, that'd be grand
yeh zeboxx I can do that should be interesting. if too thick prob send it back seller said I can.
Though may still keep as backup on long journey I will see.

Got any pics for us yet? Cheers
This is the gpsforless 2200mah battery. It still fits in the belt case supplied by Tmobile uk although it then gets a little loose for when it has the supplied battery. I like it. The cover fits nicely but this is not a small battery.
I'd be curious to see some test results. That 2200 one doesn't look that much smaller than the 2600 one. I'm all over this though, I don't mind it being that thick as long as I get a week battery life with normal usage. THAT WOULD BE SWEET!!!
Sorry for the delay in pics guys but also wanted to test battery and try with different cases. The battery is bigger than expected but not as big or thick as mugen 2600 mah. the cover seems a bit larger than it should be - it may be possible to trim it but have not tried.
Found that with battery in and leather case on - no battery cover, things not so bad and only slight bulge at back. With cover supplied I wouldn't show my phone in public lol
here are my battery tests
Wizard battery
Standard 1250 Mah
25% loss 2.5 hours browsing
60% loss 5 hours browsing plus some game, radio, omap 240 15 mins
Extended 2200 Mah (75% more Mah)
20% loss over 2.5 hours browsing
40% loss 5 hours browsing plus some game, music, omap 240 15 mins
44% loss 7 hours browsing reconfig ppc
46% loss 8 hours browsing reconfig ppc.
60% loss 9.5 hours browsing (nearly double standard battery)!
80% loss 11.5 hours browsing
90% loss 12 hours browsing
All browsing was continuous and on gprs.
Fairly impressive I thought for a 25 pounds sterling battery!
here are the pics - taken with my spv c500 so apologize for quality
The case btw is a modified krussell case meant for magician but works for wizard.
In short then decided to keep the battery - I wish it was slimmer but no other available extended batteries in the uk I can find and at the price can't comlain
Thank god my small batery has it's own nuclear plant inside. No need for such bulky experiments
So is it still that size or is there now a new boy or girl phone?
Not only is the Wizard my first PDA phone but I made the switch from a Motorola Razr. I'm still trying to get over having a brick of a mobile phone and the thought of another brick riding piggyback on that just makes me downright nauseous.

Nice find, i would really like to see how it compares to the standard battery....
Looks like they are not available until next week. They are only taking pre-orders now. But 3000mAh...WOW! I have heard that Mugen batteries are some of the best you can buy too.
does anybody have any pictures of it? The site did not incllude any.
if it's 3000mAh and comes with a new battery door, you can bet it's as ugly as sin. I understand the importance of a bigger battery, in fact I have the Seido one in my Tilt right now, but why would you want to turn a phone that's already pushing maximum size/weight and add a nice big hump to it? crazy....
If it looks a bit like this:

you can imagine that I won't buy such an item... like smittyofdhs said; it's already pushing the limits.
Plus, if it is the same as the one in the picture, you are no longer able to use an external GPS-receiver (if you do).
Does it come with Nitrous Oxide (NOS)?
Someone has to be a guinea pig
I ordered one yesterday. I need the battery life since I'm not always able to recharge when needed. So, if it's fat and ugly, I'll still have my OEM and swap them as needed.

I have yet to find an external GPS receiver that would work with the Kaiser. If you find one please let me know.
edit: if it's a 300mah battery it's probably be this one

Can anyone enlighten us on these extended batteries, I myself feel that I could do with one, looking at the 2700 mAH one available here http://www.gpsforless.co.uk/product_details.php?id=11658 costs about 16 pounds including delivery in the UK. However the only thing stopping me at the moment is the fear of damaging my Kasier using one of these Big Fat ones (high capacity batteries). Since they are a UK based company I would imagine shipping is from the UK unlike the ebay sellers who send you the battery from Hongkong, which is not too bad if you dont mind waiting 7-9 working days. The ones i found on ebay seem to be 3000 mAH and for about 14 pounds including delivery. Wonder how long they take to attain a full charge?
Anyone with any take here!
Think the most irritating thing with the Kaiser is that you can not use the keyboard on a flat table or so, because it is not stable anymore

I have been using a 2700 mAh battery from gpdforless (which has a .uk address) for the last three weeks. Kaiser works fine with it, no noticeable problems. It keeps the charge for complete day, with push Microsoft email and bluetooth constantly on.
How much does this "Extended Size Hi–Power 3000mAh Battery for HTC TyTN II (Kaiser) PPCs." cost in USD from the mugen online store?? i goto check out and i get these numbers..
HLI–P4550XL 57.55 / 83.45¹ 57.55 83.45
But i have no idea if thats euros but they are in the netherlands so i guess it would be euros if it is.... it makes the battery about $80usd or $116usd the shipping right now is free but thats still a bit high.
edit: oops found the answer "All prices are in Euro / US Dollar ex VAT*" small print
Here's a battery that will more than double the capacity of the battery and almost double the size of the phone!

LoL
anyway,
what is the reasonable price for OEM battery (that 1350mAh).
I am looking for replacement battery since tp drains battery fastly if I use it for GPS.
I have two choices here:
a. Replacement/OEM battery
b. Pocket charger (basically it saves electricity, 1600mAh or so) it cost around USD 16
I live in Asia btw, and TP battery is a rare item. Once I found a htC P4700 battery, it is for sale for around USD 34.5
For that size it should come with a heat sink and fan!
What I want to know is how good the camera and flash work with that extra size. I hope it doesn't interfere too much...

Hello all;
I purchased Mugen battery 1800mAh, received it a week ago. After doing the initial charge-discharge for three cycles. Today is the third day I am runing the phone without charging, moderate use, bluetooth, music, messaging, downloading stuff and regular calling, I have 41% life left. I have BatteryTime, Advanced Task killer and Startup auditor.
I would highly recommend for you all who have problems to purchase this battery it is a great performer.
I am in no way affiliated with Mugen, just a satisfied customer
I´ve the same battery and i can confirm that it´s definitely a huge improvement. Almost 3 days in a row without charging.

What is the mAh rating of the standard battery and how does the physical size and weight compare to the standard one?
I believe standard 1500 ma and Mugen 1800 ma.
I read a test that slated the allegedley higher power batteries as ina test they actually perfomed worse electrically than standard. Can't remember where though - Google is your friend (as long as you don't have an Android phone and want to use bluetooth voice dialling!)

That´s what I thought for myself. The manufacturer provide the best battery solution as possible with their devices. So it´s not worth to buy an other battery.
This is a comparison between the stock battery and the Mugen battery. The Mugen battery is floating a bit more so I added 2 different graphs.

Not to disappoint anyone here, but these Mugen guys are sort of known to overrate battery capacity a bit. Just do a google search and lots of alarming things will pop. I would generlly recommend against using anything but OEM batteries

Hi
Yes I am using Google sync. My 3G is controlled by JuiceDefender that sets it on and off according to a preset schedule.
Thanks
Maher
Would anyone recommend using this battery rather than the one it comes originally with the device?:

hmm seems legit, alot of people are using those red hong kong batteries and reporting good...its worth a shot, i believe you would have a higher battery life with this.
Don't believe the hype: http://batteryboss.org/
Most batteries that are only a little more than the default are generally useless. The only useful ones are the huge, significant jumps like from 1300mah to 2500mah or something. A jump of 200mah will make nearly no difference due to inefficiency.
It's also rather common for the capacity claims of those third-party batteries to be somewhat - erm - optomistic.
Exactly, simply look at good Branded AA rechargables and then compare to those oem ones, you will notice that all good branded state real capacity, while those cheaper ones state capacities that are not realisting, probably even not possible to produce, simply because if it was possible, then Energizer, Duracell, Sanyo would be offering them, but they are not.
So I bought second battery for my Z which is genuine, simply because I think those batteries have to be better, somehow verified by HTC, because it's in HTC interest for the battery to las as long as possible. So it's safe to assume you can't pack more power into the same package, anything advertized for 1500 has to be either 1300 or even less (cheaper components).
The only replacement battery that worked for me before was extended battery double in capacity and also double in size for Touch Pro2, it came with custom back cover. It really lasted londer that 2x smaller one.
I have invested in Micro USB Portable Emergency Charger Fit HTC Desire Z It holds 1500 MAh. Haven't tested it yet, just charged fully.

Kindly give us a feedback on your findings about the portable charger.
Thanks.
Underclock to lowest for screen off
Control sync times (can still use auto)
make sure you turn screen off when not using the phone
then you can easily get at least 24 hours use from it without the need for a bigger battery.
If I had no morals, I would source some cheap batteries from China that were clearly over-rated in terms of their capacity (or get some made up like that, with a higher capacity printed on than they really are), and then sell them on eBay with that over-inflated capacity.
I'm sure the number of batteries returned would be minimal, because it's so hard to really "prove" that the capacity is really less than that indicated.
