Does the Tytn have a spring loaded slider? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Hey guys, I have an 8525 but the keyboard does not have a spring loaded slider like the tytn II or the tilt. Does the Tytn normally have a spring loaded slider? Like does it automatically slide if you push it up a certain amount? Or is the keyboard not have that like the Wizard?

No, it does not have it and is identically to the Wizard.

Oh wow thank you for the quick reply. I thought I might have received a bad phone. Thank you once again.

Is the IR a button?

OK, has anyone noticed that the IR point along the front edge where the speakers kinda sounds and feels like a button? could this be the 40C9 key? Just wondering as this would be handy for enabling and disabling receiving incoming beams!
Which PocketPC are you referring to? Not every feature is in the same location on HTC models.
The XDA Exec or Universal as it is known in this forum
No man, no way it's a button
And I would suggest stop pressing it if you don't wanna damage your exec 8)
dead on, was just wondering, would have been a nice touch!
hee hee
How many times did you *press* it???
lol!
cheers
San
it's not that daft. like the two rubber round bits on the back feel like buttons, but they aren't (are they  )
You'll like this!!!
Thought the same about the IR.
But wait for it......
Couldn't understand why the reset wasn't working until I found the REAL reset on the edge of my Exec (cunningly labeled Reset) and realised i'd been poking the stylus into the light sensor!!!!!!!
We've got the winner then!!!!!

Is Cingular 8125 keyboard backlit?

I have an 8125 Cingular branded wizard and the one thing that drives me crazy is that the qwerty keypad does not light up on my phone when I slide it out. Is it supposed to? I read that the MDA keyboard has backlights, is my phone just broken?
thanks
Mine only lights up for short durtation after a key is pressed. I dont think they light up just by expanding the keyboard.

Tmobile Wing Slide keyboard problem

Hi
I just got my Tmobile Wing as a replacement for my Dopod D810 (Trinity), it's lovely and the battery life is great! However, I'm just wondering if it's just me or all the Herald variants, I'm quite annoyed but its semi-automatic spring driven keyboard and looks like mine wiggles a bit and slightly elevated on the keyboard itself (when not slided out), i found it too annoying when i tap my fingers on the screen like when i'm using Phonepad and i can barely feel it wiggles and it knocks the front panel housing (i don't what should be the term) to the keyboard panel.
Any one with the same case?
I would be very thankful if you happen to know any fix and post it here.
Thanks!
