I have an orange spv M700 in UK and i connect to the internet via GPRS and G3. Maybe you don't have G3 in Romania. I would check your internet connections in System in Settings. If this does not work I suggest you call Orange customer services in Romania on 150.
helpdesk from romania doesn't know about their stucture.
I admit that i'm novice in wm6, but i'm expert in w2k3, so i know something about SO and lan...
I ask operator to give me the .cab(s) and .tsk from orange ... but they doesn't knows about what's happened when a new phone with orange software is conected or default reset....
Internet is working in H, so is ok, but wap doesn't work... so, when i see on their task on another phone ... disable vlan 14 ... and some other...
Can i extract a rom image and unpack with some software? That's the solution, i think

Hey boarders,
I tried to look for a solution but nothing came up from the SE.
Recently i have access to a Qtek 9090 but i expierence the following, when i activated Wifi after a hardreset i can perfectly connect to the Network. But when i disconnect and want to access the same network again it doesn't work. I have to hardreset the Pocket Pc and then it is working.
Did anyone have the same problem and found a solution for it. The Qtek 9090 is a proximus collection device supplied through brightpoint and has 1.22 Rom version.

Hi there
I am new to this forum, I have purchased an SPV m600 on Orange from ebay, and I was woundering if I can upgrade the rom to T-mobile Vario. Has this been done before and will it work. If not please can soemone let me know where I can get other roms for this device. I am a t-mobile users, and the phone keeps on freezing when I enable push mail.
Cheers
The vario is the wizard while your device as you know is a prophet. Attempts to put wizard ROM on prophet "as is" were made with WM 6 but the results were unusable.
Chances are you will brick your device completely.
But note this: you push-mail problem shouldn't require a ROM change. All orange customization is in the ext ROM so try hard resetting your device, the soft resetting just after you finish all the calibration and stuff so the ext ROM wouldn't install. Then get the proper connection setting for T-mobile and see if it works.
Thanks for your help, are there any other Rom's I can install on that device ie, Imate or XDA. This way I will remove all the Orange setting of the device.
I have entered all the t-mobile gprs settings on the device, but it still frezzes every so often, but everything works still the web and email. I am not happy with the device fall asleep for 30 sec or so.
Cheers
Try the forum search for the Qtek 2.20 WWE ROM! This ROM is in english and have no Ext ROM from a provider such as T-Mobile or Orange! I think this would help you!
You must setup the connection data after finish installing manually but this isn't a big problem!

Thanks for you help, if you come accross the link then let me know. I will do some searching over the weekend.

Hello,
i'm searching for a tool, that can show files into *.NBF and extract files from *.nbf
my problem:
I will search and extract the provider files
Thanks for Help.
.nbf from what brand of phone?
Now, I search the cab files or directly the program files, what are responsible to show "zuhause" (vodafone home area) as lettering or as icon.
So i will extract the german Vodafone files from different HTC devices (so .nbf or .nbh) and compare the cab archives (or the program files) whether these files to show "zuhause" for the devices are identical or not.
I think the "zuhause"-memo on the screen is generated by a pure software, what works regardless of the hardware, because it's only evaluated digital informations from the GSM signal and compared this informationes with the SIM card.
But not in every VPA- or VPA compact device typ the provider has this program integrated.
example: O2 use for Displaying the home-area also an info-channel, that i can manualy set. T-Mobile and Vodafone use a other way. Vodafone should use informations into the GSM signal.
thanks for informationes and help
Greetings Frank
Well, i've got the cab-files. But how can i get the programs from the cab-files?
Think i correctly, that the provider branding (and the provider settings) are into the ExtROM?
thanks for help

Try SDA Application Unlock
Are you stucked by SIMLock.exe program?
Have you modified the registry keys (using regedit STG)
in HKLM/Security/Policies/Policies
Modify value 00001001 to 1
Modify value 00001005 to 40
Install cert.cab on the device and run it
Now you should be able to remove locks using SPVServices.exe
If SIMLock blocks you, I had the same problem. I remotely killed SIMLock.exe and after I had access to the phone and was able to use regeditSTG and then install cert.cab. Everything was fine after I killed the SIMLock.exe process (using visual studio remote tools and pushing the soft button to allow the program to run (do it many many times to be sure that the SIMLock screen does not recover the program allow message)) and gained access to the phone.
Good luck
