Music with BT headset stops after 20 min... - P3600 General

i listen to music using the SonyEricsson BT headset, however after about 20 min or so, consistently, music begins to skip.
is this due to buffering problem with WM5? or this is something else all together? does anyone experience the same listening music via BT headset? anyone has a solution?

1. Reduce the bitrate (end up getting bad sound quality)
2. stop doing the other stuff you're doing on the pda at the same time.

my bitrate is about 96 which is not that high to begin with. also, i was not doing anything on my PDA while listening to listen. any other option beside lowering the bitrate?
does lower bitrate use less tranmission or something? can you elaborate on this?

Hi,
I am suffering the same effect when I connect my HTC-P6300 (Panda) to my car radio (KB-BT1) via BT.
Have you make any progress on solving this problem?
Thanks

Thanks!
decrease bitrate. usually it must be less then 192

Video streaming using bt stereo headset

I just bought the jabra 320s bt stereo headset.
I am using tcpmp to watch movies on my trinity , but when I use my jabra the picture does not run fluently, the picture stops and jumps and all the time.
When I use the original headset that came with the trinity the picture runs perfectly.
Is there a way to fix it?
Maybe a different player will run better?

No one???
Did you turn up the bit rate and sample frequency?
I stream audio to my bluetooth carkit and i noticed that when i adjusted the bit rate and sample frequency in the registry to a higher value the media player starts to produce hick-ups in the music. So maybe you could lower the bit rate. Downside is that this will reduce the sound quality.

Can anyone try A2DP?

I was wondering if the audio quality and sound stuttering has improved by using BT stereo headphones with Blackstone...
I have a trinity and i still haven't found a setting nor a rom nor a BT stack which handles my samsung headphones with a decent quality and no stuttering...
My cheap nokia 6234 has a solid connection and a good quality sound compared to the trinity... Plus, the A2DP connection slows my device down so much you have to pause if you want to do anything with it...
So if anyone could report about using bluetooth headphones with Blackstone, I would be very grateful as that would help me decide whether to buy or not
Thanks a lot

Great
I have the Touch HD for a few days now with the BH S100 HTC bluetooth headset. I have to say that the sound quality is great. It is even better than my conventional mp3 player.
Stable, never lost connection, etc.
Hope this helps.
I tried it today, with my Sony-headset.
It seems to stutter, though, for the five minutes I tested.
I have the Blackstone from seven day and the A2DP is OK with my Sony_Ericsson HBH-DS200.
The sound is very good and the pairing with the phone is immediatly in about 1 second.
Regards
reasonably OK with my Jabra BT620s. However, quality in BT A2DP is not really comparable with wired headsets, and i got some losses when passing nearby EM sources like wifi, etc.etc.
I needed to enhance the quality with Schaps Advanced Config Tool.
Alpine radio
I have an Alpine radio with bluetooth capabilities in my car, and for the first time I have a great connection with my HD. My Touch Diamond stuttered.
Thanks a lot everyone!
I guess it depends by the headset model and interferences then...
I'm still looking for a shop which would make me play with it for a little while...
i have a pioneer deh 700bt and the headunit set up was easier than the nokia n95
streaming music was a bit weird, the quality was very weird, kinda like very low bit rate streaming on mp3s at times, then fine again.
my n95 music used to pause when i took the key out of the ingnition and the stereo turn off
however the HD just keeps playing, but not through the speaker phone....just see it still playing
bit disappointed, and looking for a fix
I've only played for 10 mins, so i'll let you know if i find some more.
I have an Audi A3 from 2005 with a original BT carkit.
Can I use my HD to play some music ?
I can make phonecalls without a problem, if I adjust the volume of my carradio the volume from the HD is also adjusted.
But is there a possibility to play some music ?
Has anyone tried the Plantronics 855 Voyager stereo headset yet?
Also, I'm currently using the Jawbone 1 and noticed horrible interference/noise in the ear piece when the wifi is on, anyone else experience this?
I've never had any problems with the diamond and now with the hd. Like the senior man said, you need to increase the bluetooth bitpool values either in the registry or by using schaps tool. The difference in quality is immense - low values will make high bitrate music sound 64 kbps so you need to change this. Of course, the higher the bitpool the more chance of dropouts but I run at 60 and rarely, if ever have any dropouts.
Sennheiser MM200
Now if tested for almost one day my HD with my new Sennheiser MM 200. Amazing!!! The use of the MP3-Player switched with the use of the remote control to a new level. During sport display can be switched off(no need for touch display-less power consumption (try to give a more compareable info in future)), full control of play/pause/fwd/rwd/volume function. There is no delay of the HD in using the remote nor any transmission interruptings. Now the HD is with armwrest a perfect sport companion. The sound of the earphones - haven't had any better sound (and i've tried a lot of earplugs). Neckstrap fits perfect, mic in perfect position, clear speech and due to perfect noise reduction of the plugs even in noisy areas perfect understanding.
The Sennheiser was just charged the first time - i'll report the stamina.
So far -
I am using the i.Tech S35 bluetooth clip also on my HD now, and sound is very good, with WiFi on. Advantage of the clip is that one can use any headphones with it.

It's not possible to play music, only phone functions are available.
I've tested the HD with the PARROT MK6000 and everything works very fine, also A2DP, Quality is good.Phone Functions great, Phonebook synchronize works perfect

A2DP skip : any solution ?

I am trying Touch HD with a Jabra 620s, A2DP (stereo headset profile), but I suffer occasional music skips.
I have read numerous thread about this problem, and habitual registery fixes like Priority256 etc.. doesnot seems to work with Touch HD.
With Bitpool=30 I have no skip, but sound is awful.
With Bitpool=40 I begin to skip. JOINEDSTEREO=1 helps a little.
I have not tried all Bitpool values below 40 (painful, softreset etc..) but Bitpool=40 is minimum quality IMO.
I tweaked Priority256 (/HKLM/Drivers/BuiltIn/BtA2dpSnd) down to 1, with not much improvement.
I noticed also turning Wifi off helps, but it is no sufficient.
Does anyone of you use A2DP ? Do you have problems ? Thanks for your help.
i use it with the Sony Ericsson DS980 and i dont have any problems at all.. the only thing i notice is that the screen turns on every time i change the song.. any way to get rid of that? want to save battery lol.. ..
I get skips too. Haven't figured a solution yet.
I'm using Moto S9 stereo BT headset, I have the same problem......
And I noticed, when I start play music, and press the powerbutton make the HD enter the blackscreen mode, the quality is good, and music play very smooth, but if I press powerbutton again make the HD back to normal status, and screen on, big stutter occured, and after some seconds BT lost connect with HD......
It's a little outdated, however have you used Sleuth's A2DP fix?
i always got skips with a jabrabt620s and a trinity...well you can minimize it - but never get totally rid of the problem....this is an A2DP limitation, sensitive to EMI like wifi etc.
My suggestion: go to wires...
Skipping?
I've been using a Votager 855 A2DP headset for 6 or so months with Pocket player. It's an excellent application, complete with A2DP compliant equalizer.
I listen to head banging music, but it never skips...but maybe it does and I just don't notice between the bangs.
In another forum several months ago a person or two took up my suggestion on the PP app, and had good results with a stereo BT headset.

I've seen it, but not installed it for two reasons :
1) It isn't validated for WM6 nor for Touch HD
2) It seems to eat CPU time too much, according to certain posts
Thanks for the tips anyways. If someone more daring than me installs it on Touch HD, keeps up informed.

A lot of people have problems with A2DP, but a lot too have none. I'm pretty sure problem comes from poor BT stack, not A2DP technology itself or BT broadcast / EMI problems. I've almost the same skipping rate with my headset 30cm from my HD, than 5 or 8m from my HD.
Your suggestion is wise, but I'm eager to make my Christmas present functionnal..

I've just downloaded it and tryied it. For now, no skip at all !!! (with BitPool=42) This application seems to be very optimized for A2DP.
I keep you informed in this thread if this resolves my issue. I want to increase Bitpool to 50 or more to have optimal quality (I listen classical), and I hope PP will handle this datarate.
Thanks for this excellent advice audscott.

I also have had no problems using the HBH-DS980 except that I too can't get it to stay in 'standby mode'.
I started a thread on this exact same issue, but have had no joy up until now.

dear all,
i remember searching up for ad2p anti-skip quite a few months back.
my conclusion was the following settings:
jointstereo -> turn on
samplerate -> 48000
remove all bitrate settings
then all should be well.
The previous settings that involves bitrate, priorit256 are meant for wm5 devices.
in wm6.1, most of these are redundant. in my case, the above settings works perfectly on my itech blueband pro. ad2p and avcrp works well with the default player or with wmp.
Where can one find these settings? I have looked high and low!
***Doh! Found them... HD Tweak is my friend!***

I also have iTech BlueWhatEver and it works better, but still ones a few minutes sound skips
Also how to prevent phone from waking up from standby when I press pause/ff/rew button? Because it's ****ing annoying, I have to manually turn phone back off, so avcrp is totally useless if I have to touch the phone.
I suggest you lower the bitrate to 44100. 48k is useless since your mp3 are in 44.1kHz and you will save some CPU, bandwith
Jointstereo = 0 is prefered for quality purposes.
Then the bitpool ... this is where it gets tricky because every headset have their own limitations.
When i use it with my sony ericsson HBH-IS800 I can go up to 48.
If I use another device I need to lower it to 40.
The "CPU" of you headset needs to be taken into account.
The touch HD have no difficulties encoding SBC in realtime in high bitrate, the issue comes from the headset itself not able to decode SBC fast enough according to the bitpool you chose.
So there's nothing you can do except trying another BT Stack (that can have better SBC encoding algorithm) or changing you A2DP headset.

Bluetooth streaming problem

Hi, when i connect my phone to my car radio the quality of the sound i'm streaming is the first seconds very good. But after a few seconds the sound is turned to low quality like an very very low kbit/s MP3.
And the other problem is, during the stream appear interrupts in length of ~2s.
Maybe this is an powersaving issue or some values in the registry must be changed???
Please can anybody help me.
Does somebody know if BT2.1 has some backwards compatibility problems with BT2.0 devices?
