8525 - Battery indicator LED is solid dark orange/red - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

For some reason my battery indicator LED is a solid dark orange/red. What do I have going on and how do I fix it?

Have you tried removing the battery and then putting it back? If that doesnt work, i would say, let your battery drain to %10 and then power it off, and charge it till its full...
does the light stay red even when its plugged into the charger and the battery is fully charged?

No more AMBER after full recharge!!

I have read alot about people complaining about the AMBER LED being still on despite the full charge for even over a night!
I don't know if anyone tried this but I did and it worked. Keep the device on while charging -disable the power management- and sure you will have the AMBER for few hours til it reaches 100% when you shall get the GREEN LED. In my case I use a special screen saver that slide-show a set of pix during the recharge period.
The question now is; would the screen get damaged after sometime having it on for periods like 8hrs? I mean does it lose brightness or quality after a while?
Pls advise.
Personally I use spb pocket plus which clearly displays the charge % on screen so I don't even look at the colour of the light.
opposite problem
this is crazy but i get the oppositie thing. My main battery is supposed to be 100% charged so it's supposed to be charging the backup batter. What it does after a while is switching on from the orange light to the green light - although it hasn't finished charging. Once I disconnet the cable and connect it again then it become orange again and probably starts to charge for once again? what's wrong with it?

battery charging question

how do you tell if your phone is fully charged when charging the x1 beside looking at the battery status when the phone is on. does the illumination light go out when your unit is charged or does it continue blinking whether its fully charged or not.
when i charge mine, the lights blink and then after several hours, i would not see it blink for a little while but then every now and then, i would see it blinking again.
just want to know if the lights stops blinking, the phone is fully charged.
Exactly what I want to know.
Yes, the side lights stop blinking when it is fully charged.
When it stops charging, the lights go out. But then, when in trickle charging mode, it is shown by the light.
how can I see the remaining battery (percentage) without pressing a series of buttons?

You can set the clock in the menubar to show the battery power, but the the clock is gone or you use a small and nice freeware like batti: http://code.google.com/p/batti/

thanks, that makes a lot of sense now that you pointed it out.

The charging LED turns green when it's full right?

My battery says 100%, then I turned it off and plugged it back in and the indicator was still white. Huh?

The anorexic manual says Green is 95% or higher. Maybe the indicator had a margin of error or somehow used up 5% of its power cycling (which would be unfortunate)?

I'm not sure of the level that Motorola uses, but with Cyanogenmod 7 on my Droid Incredible the charging light turns green at 90%. Maybe this is a standard Android value???
I seem to be flying through my battery, but I HAVE been doing a ton of stuff. Even playing games via bluetooth and hdmi on my big tv... I'll leave it off and plugged in for an hour and thirty minutes and see if the indicator changes color. Still white at the moment.
EDIT - At full, 100% charge (tells me so when it's on), my LED is White. Someone please verify their LED colors for me...
During charge mine is white/blue. When it reaches 95ish percent it turns green.
Regardless of when the charge indicator turns white, green, etc like many other mobile devices the battery gauge may not be all that accurate. When the battery gets to a certain point, charging stops and discharging begins again. After a discharging for a while, charging may begin again. The amount of charge shown may depend on where you catch it in the cycle. Unplugging it after it becomes green and then plugging it in again causes a "bump charge". This is fairly common behavior and hardly exclusive to the xoom.
If you want to really know what is going on, I suggest using this free android utility / widget...
[UTIL] current widget - shows actual current output of a charger

is yours the 3g or wifi xoom?
I've now found that I'm getting between 10-12 hours of heavy usage, probably. I was playing games and surfing and playing music for 6 hours last night and I wound up at 50%. So I guess I can ignore the LED thing, I guess. It turns red when the inner camera is on.

[Q] Led Status Indicator

I just got the Huawei IDEOS X5. Once the battery ran low, I plugged it to the charger. The problem is that the Led Status Indicator (above the screen on the front of the phone) doesn't become orange (it is green). According to the instructions this Led should be orange while the charge is in progress, and become green once the phone is fully charged. This behavior does not follow the info described in the manual of the phone.
Has anyone had the same problem? Do you know why this is happening? Should I return the phone back to the seller?
Thanks
khtc
Led burns green, when the battery is above 90% or so. Under that should be orange. Sometimes when you plug in the charger, it takes time even to start charging (Led is green then). I'd say try to observe more
I thought the same when I first start charging my device, but when the device was fully charged I realized that the led(which seems to me green) wasn't.
The orange color of the led it's not so orange(like was on other devices) but is more close to green(again the green on other devices). On ideos the the green led it's not so light and yellowish, it's more deep like trees green.
And what sanpsa says happens also after 90%
Thank you guys. You were 100% right both!
Dunno, whether it depends of soft or not, but when battery below 15% (or 10%) LED should be red. For mine device it's so.

New Battery problem

Hello
My battery sucked, like going from 100 to 20 in 10secs so i asked for a new one from huawei greece. They sent me a new battery and when i put it into the phone and tried to boot it phone didn't boot. I thought it was because the battery was empty and when i connected it to charge first the light was blinking red and then phone boot up to the battery screen. 15min later i realised the phone was boot up and the red light was blinking red and not like staying red which is the light when you charge it with no battery. the percetange was 0%. i left it there for a little bit but nothing happend. then i tried to turn it off while it was connecting to the charger but that just boot up again with the same red blinking light and 0% percentage. I'm on aurora sp on top of aurora v20. When i try the old battery everything is working ok like it charges and everythinh. Could someone help me out?
Strange
Try this connect your phone to usb power without battery inserted. Then turn on when phone boot insert your new battery into your phone let charge until green led or 100%. And install Battery Stats and post details about your batt.

i've tried that nothing changed. i let it boot up without the battery then put it back in without pulling off the charger and it still seemed to be without battery just with the usb cable. i got back to official gingerbread, no rooting and stuff now but still doesn't charge. the weird thing is that the very first time that iconnected it to the charger, when the phone was off, the light started blinking red without phone getting into "battery screen" and after a while it was at battery charging screen. 15min later it was booted up and "no charging" status

Okay. Ask Huaei to change your battery since it's damage for another one you have and can active warranty do that
