Hello experts...pls help me. I hv low memory on my main memory. :!:
Everytime when we receive file (by default) via IR or Bluetooth, the file will be stored in MY DOCUMENTS in MAIN MEMORY...right? :?
I'm really hoping someone can actually teach me how to do some tweaking, and change the save folder to Memory Card. Please...
I can't receive big files because i dun hv enough space to store them in MAIN MEMORY now...very sad case....

yah, i also suffer from this. with about 10mb free on my RAM for both storage and programs it is a problem.

in the ftp key you can change the local path... havent checked it though.

suddenly today, one friend sent me one picture via BT, and the file went to Storage Card, as i had it... tried it again and again and everything was sent to Storage Card! 8)
but it wasn't asking to accept the file...

However, I can't get anyone giving the correct solution.
So,
Did anyone here knows how to change Notes SAVE PATH ??
I tried to change the registry in :
(HKLM/Sotfware/Microsoft/Notes) from \Storage Card into \Storage Card\Notes
HOWEVER,
everytime I saved the new registry, and DO a soft reset, it always revert back to the original condition, and sometimes, the registry value is "\Storage Card\Notes" BUT when I save new notes, it was saved in the root of storage card (as usual).
Please help me to find solution for this one
Im using HTC Touch Diamond on WM6.1

go in to notes... do not create a new one. you should be in view all folders.... press menue then option it should give you the option to save to the storagecard. i am using the herald wm6

Don't wanna say you r supid but did u create the notes file on the storage card before that instead of relying on windows mo to create it?

what i meant wasn't to change from 'Main Memory' to 'Storage Card', but to change from 'Storage Card\' to 'Storage Card\Notes'

here is a scenario
I have HTC Diamond
I created a folder name My Documents on the storage card.
in that folder i had the following subfolders
my pictures
my music
word
excel
NOTES
in notes folder i keep many notes ... like my bank account No. phone bank pass and user name and password for internet banking and many many things.
how do I keep them synced and when I create a new note I want it to go there NOT to the root folder of the storage card.
plz advise

I'm watching this myself.. I just wind up moving the damn things. Once they're moved, they stay where you put them, but anything new winds up in the root again.
I really should look into a better notes program anyway. I have yet to find one that operates in a sane fashion for WM.

I'd been trying to acomplish exactly the same, with no luck. I'd changed the reg keys to target "my" new paths, but the sys just ignore them.
Any help will be appreciated.

For myself, I solved this issue the following way:
When you open the Notes program, in the upper left corner you'll see a drop-down menu to select different folders. Choose the folder you want (I chose /My Documents/Notes), and that's it! After choosing it, all the new notes that you make are saved in that folder.

previously there was this issue about Diamond not being able to record the voice on the other end unless it is on speakerphone.
is this issue solved now?
its recording in my documents but not under Storage Card. But it's really cool. finally some app to record calls in touch.
It should be an old version. May I know what feature did you modified? The sound of other end still very low and it's unable to save the recordings in storage card. Anyway, thank you for sharing.
I'll give it a shot and gey back with results... I too have had multiple issues finding call recording programs that work 100%.. Hopfully this does.
under the registry there is a path showing the recorded location. I tried to change it to internal storage but after soft reset it failed to load. IMO this is so far the most useful app and wish somebody could provide a solution.
it will take the internal storage "my documenys, audio notes, incall/outcall"

Ok I have fix for it without changing the program
1. Go to \Storage Card\My Documents
2. Make folder name My Audio Notes
3. In \Storage Card\My Documents crate Shortcut To My Audio Notes
4. Now you have Shortcut To My Audio Notes move it to \My Documents
On your device
5. Rename it to My Audio Notes

Hi,
I am new with this to download apps to my htc diamond.
I´ve downloaded this app to my computer, and connected my htc. Nothing works it doesn´t load to my htc mobile. when I click on setup, it says nothing.
I wonder if anyone can help me...
I keep on getting the low storage space message pop up on my screen.
This is followed by an OStorage message - what is OStorage and how to reduce it?
I don't have any files stored on the Device Memory, I use the Storage Card for all my files. The Device Memory will only be used for programs.

Hello guys. I am starting a new thread to report problems encountered with hd2 and share the solution, if you were able to solve it. Please report only problems or bugs found in stock ROMs or hardware problems. I will add common problems to the list below. So here we go…
LIST OF PROBLEMS
1. Audio Booster won’t stays ON.

2. Memory card corrupted
Now more and more people are having this problem with their 8gb Sandisk supplied by HTC. No solution yet.
3. While composing sms it jumps and highlights last sms
It still records what you are typing but you cannot see until you tap on the message you are composing. No solution yet.
4. Weird liquid like spot on screen
This can only be fixed by sending phone for repair, i.e changing screen. Warranty does cover this problem in some cases from what i've learned from users reporting this problem.
5. Audio delay
Although not every users seem to be getting this problem HTC has acknowledged this problem. This issue should be overcome in future ROM according to HTC. For further information visit http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=6087471

Ok I start with the problem I got. My 8gb sdhc corrupted the 1st week I started using my hd2. Every time I start my hd2 or insert the card the phone says I have to format the card to use it and when I format it using the hd2 itself it says formatted successfully but the phone won’t read the memory card. If removed and re-inserted again it says that I have to format it and the cycle goes on and on. Computer don’t detect the card, so I’m not able to format the card using pc. I think other users got this problem too but I can’t recall well. So if this is a common problem I will add this to the LIST OF PROBLEMS.

Audio booster fix doesn't work fo me or any of my friends. We are all running stock rom's. It will shut-off in middle of song, or anytime.
1: GPS Photo latitude is incorrect when you are in the southern Hemisphere , because EXIF details have the latitude value as a negative value.
You need to use the registry hack to get the GPS photo mode, that's why it's not officially supported by HTC.
2:
this problem
To reproduce the problems with 30 SMS,
1: use another mobile to send 30 SMS to the HD2, with the current Hong Kong ROM that is on the HTC website, which you will be testing.
2: press power button to turn on the phone if it is not turn on.
3: slide and unlock the phone if it is still locked.
4: Press the message tab on HTC SENSE and scroll up or down until you find the last SMS you have received.
5: Click the middle of the screen, and immediately click the "tab to compose text" within 1 second.
6: You should see a grey bar on the right hand side going toward the bottom of the screen, wait and eventually the last SMS that you have received will be highlighted.
7: You should be still able to see the onscreen keyboard, try typing some words using the onscreen keyboard with or without XT9. Nothing seems to happen because the last SMS received is highlighted.
8. There should still have a tiny white bar of "tab to compose text" area left, tap it.
9: You should be able the see some of the top bit of your words that you have typed in STEP 7 and a flashing cursor which are all covered by the onscreen keyboard.
There are 4 of problems that I would like to raise which happen in the above steps.
1: in step 6, while waiting, you can already start typing. But while you are typing, the focus will be lost when the grey bar finish loading, and the last SMS will be highlighted. This is annoying due to the way of its design which interrupts while typing SMS.
2: while you can keep typing when the SMS is highlighted, the words do not show up until you tap the “typing area” dialogue box.
3: Step 7 is just nonsense, due to the keyboard covering the typing area for no reason.
4: The more SMS there are , the slower the little grey bar on the right hand side load.
HTC Hong kong said they have reported this problem to the programers, but it has been more than a month and still no solution.

there are two solutions in the thread, the first one in pressing the home button when audio booster is on and the 2nd one is the registry tweak. which one you tried? i never use the player of htc sense. i always use coreplayer and for me it works.

Whatever i do and even after hard reset when i install a programme the goes to the phone memory even when i select my st card.
Notice that my leo is in Greek lang and storage card's name is ''ΚΑΡΤΑ ΑΠΟΘΗΚΕΥΣΗΣ''
Is there any solution to solve out this problem?
Is very annoying and fill up my phone's memory in no time..

''ΚΑΡΤΑ ΑΠΟΘΗΚΕΥΣΗΣ'' does mean CARD STORAGE. you are using English language? go to settings>system>regional settings and check this. i don't know if this will solve your problem but you can give it a try.

Since 2 weeks I noticed that in "Setting"-->Memory card info-->SD card & phone-memory-- :
total memory == 0
Used memory ==0
Available memory==0
Before 2 weeks ago I do remember such informations were correctly displayed..
Maybe someone experienced....

try hard resetting your phone. if still don't work try upgrading your ROM or install a custom ROM

I also tried to remove the Sd card and rebooting,but it did not fix...
However applications can see the SD card (for example TOmTom Maps are seen by TomTom Application) and also Camera application can see and save pictures inside the SD card.
Only the "capacity info " (space available and occupied)are wrong (0.00 MB ; 0.00 ) .Maybe a registry key deleted....
Finally and unfortunately the HTC patch for SD cards is not applicable since my official ROM is 1.66 WWE.

yes maybe something messed up in the registry. did you backup your registry before editing it? if you did backup try restoring.

This was reported on the TMobile HD2 forum too (search for "SMS Glitch, does your HD2 do this?".. I can't post link here yet)
And yes, I have this problem as well. I thought I was going mad because words that I type in wouldn't appear until I deactivated/reactivated the keyboard... That fixed it but it's still annoying.
And it seems to appear consistently on the first sms reply you make upon activating HTC Messages. Problem doesn't seem to appear when you go into All Messages and work from there.
