iPaq H5450 and language change

Hi all, I'm new to this forum...
I need some help...
I've an english H5450, and i want make it italian.
Now I have updated it from PPC2002 ENG to PPC2003 ITA, using this metod:
* Modifty the ROM file, to have a fake "english" ROM,
* Start the upgrade
* It validate the language
* Replace with the correct ROM file
* Flash
Now the iPaq as Italian software, but I can do any official update, becouse he think that it is English (at the boot it say "v. 2.00.3 ENG", and I can read the same in the asset viewer).
I tried to do english update, but now my iPaq speaks italian, englis, and spanish ( :shock: ). Now I'm waiting to re-flash it...
How can I change the language one times forever?
I think that I need to change the asset....
I read that shoul be a command, if I use the "bootloader mode" and send command via mtty.
Or there isa nother way to reflash all?
Please help me!

I Intend To Release A Stabile And Easy Method To Update Os Language For Hp 69xx Series... There Is A Flashing Method For The Four Languages Supported By Hp Bios Updates Involving Hexedited Ceos.nbf Provided By Hp (German, Danish, French And Spanish), And The Other Method Involving Awizard Or Wst And The Os.nba Ripped From Different Users Devices : I Have English.nba And Dutch.nba (thank You, Amin!)... In Order To Complete This Project, I Ask Every Member Using Hp Ipaq 69xx To Help Me Extend The Nba Files For Other Languages Too (ex. : Italian, Japonese, Chinese, Russian, Etc)... English ROM
Thanks for everyone and in particular, commanddos, Wikidork and Drathman. No thanks to HP Customer Support, I now have an English 6945 !!. I will keep trying to fix the radio stack, somebody has suggested that I insert a known working SIM card before upgrading the radio stack. I used the UK1.21 flash tools as suggested and it fixed the OS problem. I've included a zip file in here that will change to english and also included the french and spanish one if anyone needs them. If you want to load the Spanish one, rename the CEOS.nbf to CEOS.nbf.english and the CEOS.spanish to CEOS.nbf. Likewise for the French one. Sorry I dont have an Italian one, but I'm sure somebody can help here.
If anyone has any suggestions about the radio stack, please let me know. BTW It wont let me upload the zip file, so if you would like it, please drop me a line at [email protected] and I will send it to you personally. Its the least I can do for getting this working.

P.s. This will undoubtley damage the radio stack making the phone part inoperable until a radio fix is posted. I take no responsibily for the damage!!

IPAQ 614c ROM Needed

Hello all,
Can you please help me? I have an IPAQ 614c but the OS is in Italian and i want to change it into English.
I've tried already with the latest FW ver on the support page at HP (English) with successful upgrade but the issue
is still the same.
Is there any World Wide ROM for this model? I'll appreciate if you provide me such one. Otherwise i'll be not able to use the device sad.gif

I think you can backup the english version and share it
I can do so with the Italian if someone needs it.
There are two options i think, the one is to make a key boot combination and to save the ROM on a SD and the other one is with a utility but for this somebody else has to share his experience.

Official EN rom. Windows Pro 6.0.
Dont forget to make the HP update, this rom is very old.

Language change...

Hi, I'm a new user. Just bought my phone but in Germnay and it's XDA from O2 operator. It has only german language! The dude from the shop said that I can change the language only with a software change. Where can I find an english version? How to install it?

If you want to change only the language of Manila, thats the solution.
If you need your whole phone in english, then you should
1) Flash HardSPL (special software that allows you to put any language and any version of Windows Mobile on your phone)
2a) Check at WIKI Shipped ROMs for an english version that matches your region.
or
2b) Select from one of the Cooked ROMs with more speed, more stability.

I'm not sure but in czech release of topaz you can change language version. After hard reset there is menu for selecting english version or for installing localization. Topaz install czech environs by first use after hard reset from two cab files.

Ok, so you need your phone complete changed from German language to English language.
First step:
You need to enable your phone to accept WM with a different language. Follow the instructions of this post.
Second step:
As you are complete new to WM and this type of phone, I propose that you change to an official HTC WM in English. The most actual official WM for the Diamond2 is Version 1.39.405.3.
You just start the exe file and it will upgrade your phone to an English version.
But this upgrade will only work if you successfully installed the HardSPL from step 1.

I use PHM registry editor. Just open it and in string HKEY_CURRENT_USER\MUI\CurLang is hexadecimal key with value for german 0407, so change it to 0409 for english (US english). It will change TF3D language only.
After hard reset at first turning on there you should have options for english or installing german localization. If you have got original german ROM ( without local cabs) there is one way only. You have to flash new ROM with WWE.

OK. Well I do it but on step 7 it came a fatal error message : "please make sure the device is properly synced; Please retry after syncing the device (via Activesync or Windows mobile Device center)" and there is only "OK" as an option to proceed. But the phone is connected in WM device center.

Which one did you download and try?
Topaz-HardSPL_V3_01R2.zip
Topaz-HardSPL_V3_01R2__NC.zip
SSPL-Manual-TopazV3_05.zip
Option 1 and 2 run from your PC
Option 3 you have to copy the SSPL-Manual-TopazV3_05.exe to your phone and start it there.
I do not know Windows Vista, (or Window 7, not sure what you use). One of the 3 options should work.

Well I use Vista Ultimate. I tried option 1 and 2 but the result was the same - a fatal error message.
Step 3 - when I start it on the phone, the phone freezes and nothing happens.

Please try to install the attached file. Then retry option 1 and 2.

apparently I have made a mistake by ugrading the ROM: saw no difference, only lost the Romanian interface

Check the WIKI page. There is a ROM for Eastern Europe. Its listed under WWE ROM's, but has the same number: RUU_Topaz_HTC_WWE_EastEurope_1.39.479.2_Radio_Signed_Topaz_61.20t.25.10_3.43.25.19_Ship.exe

Forget my last message, it was too late yesterday. of course you do not want to flash the same english ROM again.
Try to find someone with a Topaz which is still in Romanian language. Dump the ROM, (I can support) and rebuild the ROM for reflashing (I can support).

Do you see any chance to dump the ROM of another Topaz with Romanian language? Then I can help you.
Maybe you know someone else with a Topaz in Romanian language.
