Unloking

I have unlock my O2 XDA... But he don't work wit T-Mobile sim-card.
He works with Telfort, Vodofoon but not with T-Mobile.
Help me please???
Your xda will be capable of working with gsm 900/1900 or 900/1800, it is possible that t mobile is running on a frequency that your phone is not capable of. Also you should check in your bootloader under gsm if you have chosen 900/1800 or 900/1900, if you have chosen only 900 then it will only accept sims on that frequency.

Samsung Omnia i900 - unlocking UMTS frequencies

Hi All,
Currently released version of Samsung Omnia i900 does not support UMTS 850/1900, which are north american 3G frequencies, according to official Samsung documentation, as well as FCC approval docs. However it has been recently established the radio chip does support those frequencies, and they are locked in the firmware only. Here is the evidence to support this claim:
This is the official FCC documentation for i900 certification:
https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas...me=N&application_id=476604&fcc_id='A3LSGHI900
On the page 4 of the "Internal Photos" document you can clearly identify the radio chip - it's Qualcomm RTR6285 and according to Qualcomm:
"Support for Eight UMTS Bands, Four EGPRS Bands, Triple-Band Receive Diversity and GPS Integrated into Power-Optimized RTR6285 Device": http://www.qualcomm.com/news/releases/2006/060213_worlds_first_single.html
So, it's only as matter of unlocking those frequencies in the current firmware. Samsung made our job a little easier, by recently making a public release of new ROM with updated firmware, so we won't have to dump it ourselves: http://www.samsungmobile.com/promotion/omnia/sg/sub02_xp.jsp#
I have limited free time and limited experience with reversing PDA firmware, to be able to achieve this by myself - please help.
I just got an Omnia and sometimes it hits the 3g network so i am sure that the firmware is there but it is locked.

more details please - where are you at? what network/carrier do you mean? do you really see 3G icon and experience fast browsing/download? what is the firmware version on your Omnia? (Settings -> System ->Version)
AT&T.I have it from Singapore.PDA:i900DXHH3/DZHH3.As i mentioned it hits 3g for a minute or so and then it goes back to edge
man i sure hope this issue gets fixed!

AllTheWay I started this thread to solve the problem for people in US,who already have Singapore/European Omnia, the i900. It's a well known fact Mirage hits AT&T on October 21st, but it doesn't help us one bit. Unless of course, you're willing to dump the ROM from i907, reverse it and replace the i900's radio with the one from i907 with all supported UMTS frequencies unlocked
I wish somebody could help us out on this issue, I dont know enough about rom editing to be of use ;(
besides, i think the 907 is already available but not branded to at&t: http://www.celluloco.com/samsung-i907-omnia-8gb-us-3g-support-version-hsdpa850-1900-e-pr-1873.html
any update of this thread?
HTC Diamond users with US 3G - please help
I'm starting to believe it might actually be possible to tweak existing radio firmware to unlock UMTS 850/1900Mhz bands using already embedded secret debug menu from Samsung developers, rather than having to dump it, reverse it, patch and flash back. Here is the secret code to access Root Debug Menu on Omnia: *#197328640#
Option #4 "UMTS rf nv" has sub-option "umts rf nv write", which I think allows to modify the active UMTS bands in the radio. Assuming we have that set correctly, option #9 "Common" from the same Root Debug Menu has sub-option #5 "WCDMA Set Channel", which allows to specify downlink channel range.
Here is my idea: some devices, such as HTC Diamond with US 3G enabled radio, have the same Qualcomm chip as Omnia, and run the same WM 6.1 OS. So,
I'm thinking it's worth a shot if someone with US enabled HTC Diamond provided us with settings from his device for those 2 configurable menus I just mentioned. If you backup your own settings, so you could restore them if it doesn't work - I think trying settings from another device will not fry the radio, worst case scenario transceiver will just shut down and be offline until settings are restored.
This would be great.... Iv'e been dieing to get 3g in the usa with the omnia.... Can anyone help with this?
Any updates on this? Would be nice. Especially now since we know omnia isn't coming to ATT as i907
If possible i will donate to the guy that dicover how to enable!
It may be easier to copy the setting from an I907 Epix. That has almost identical hardware and it is ATT + Samsung + Tri Band UMTS.
When I try writing the WCDMA channel it says "That value is wrong".
Also, I can only set one number, so I assume that they want me to set one in the listed range which is WCDMA2100.
Here are the bands:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UMTS_frequency_bands
Oddly, the Channels currently set stretch a few beyond the range cited on Wiki for WCDMA 2100. They start on the same channel.
Another oddity is that there is no uplink channel. I suppose that people just use Edge for this? Does the I907 do HSUPA?
well...
i'm living in ISRAEL,
and we have GSM network but we also have another cellular company that work with "UMTS 2100/850" band..
i'm working well on 3G with the 2100 band (my onmina have only UMTS/WCDMA 2100 only without 850 also..)
i will be happy to open if it's possible the UMTS/WCDMA 850 also.. so i'll have both 2100 + 850 on WCDM/UMTS (not GSM) freq...
but i'm not shure it's possible to open what ever you like.. anyway i'll try to ask our guys (at my cellular company i'm working at) about this freq stuff...
hope this thread will bring us good information..
also, just know.. my job is with Cellular phones.. and we have "for Testing" Omnia phone with WCDMA/UMTS 2100/850 bands..
but i don't know how i can download the firmware to my pc and try to use it on my omnia back...
if anyone know how i can "take-out" the firmware explane to me and i'll try to do it....
..
Someone else has further evidence:

OK guys,
i had this omnia in my hands..
the Version says
PDA: i900LJJHK1/JJHK1
PHONE: i900LJJHK1
as i think.. it's diffrent model.. I900L this "L" model.. not like ours phones... (i think, it's looks exactly the same!)
i don't think the ROM will chane the bands anyway..
anyway as you asked me to do.. when i'm doing the *#2263# code
i'm getting diffrent menu then our Omnias..
i'm getting 3 options that one of them it's "WCDMA Band Select" and in there you have ALL the UMTS bands and there is "Automatic" option.. what says this phone open to all kind of UMTS networks............ (including GSM also..)

yes, it was suppose to be with "L" mabe i forgot it on Modaco forum
anyway i hope this is only Rom issue... but anyway i can't "Rip" the rom right now.. because this phone is 24/7 testing time and i can't "make it gone" from the test station to drop the rom to my PC
i hope there are more guys who have this I900L to share the rom with us..
anyway you remmeber the code that you can change the phone settings buy country?
the main code is (type it from the dailer) *#1546792*#
and the password for section "2 - Preconfiguration" is *#81230*#
it's looks like if we will have the code for the "Internal" section, mabe we will find something in there ?!?!
if we will change to another country.. like Austrlia or something.. the bands will change also? what you guys think?
Hi juvaknin I was reading on web that this i900L is for latinamerica and its frequency was
Cellularhone
Cellular_Networks: GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS850, UMTS1900
Cellular-Data;Links: CSD, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA
found this at hxxp://www.pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=1446
change the xx for tt. Also wher did you buy this phone this info is real ?

Settings for Data in Dominican Republic

i jus't installed a new firmware from tabi13 in my elf, and everything is working fine, but the network detection seems to do an automatic detection of the settings from my provider (Orange Dominicana) and put some t-mobile settings
i just wanted to publish this information for any ROM builder if it can be changed in future releases, or for reference for other people.
Settings for Dominican Republic:
1
Orange Dominicana

if anybody knows anything else, please post.if possible, for ROM cookers, update the auto detection settings in future releases (i don't know if it is possible or how)
Operator settings
There's one elfin ROM with the correct automatic settings for Dominican Republic it's and Opal based rom, not sure it's available for elf, I did notice the same problem with over 20 different roms for different models from wizards to tilts. can not recall the chef, on that particular ROM but it's there.
That's funny
The Onyx ROM which can be used in the ELF, mostly ELFin, but has run well in your model has correct Network Settings. I have personally flashed them for Orange as well, and it works properly. It is a ROM based from the updated ELFin ROM found in HTCs site.

Gracias for the information saved me allot of time.
Creo que viva es 37004.
Confirmed, 37004 is for Viva, although is registered still as CENTENNIAL DOMINICANA. 37003 is for TRICOM DOMINICANA.
Does anyone have the EDGE configuration for either ORANGE Dominicana or VIVA?
I´m using an HTC Kaiser, and would really appreciate them.

Just read the first line of this thread, it´s all listed there!
Thanks. My G1 didn't want to pick up my settings and this worked like a charm. I came to DR for vacation and was struggling trying to get my inet working.

Hi
I have a milestone a853 and i'd like to know if there a way to make it work on 3G
thats because i it only connect to edge thats in Santo Domingo
Orange dominicana is 900/1900 Mhz on 3G, don't confuse GSM with 3G frequencies, it's not the same thing.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
I cant get any of my phones to work on 3g yet over the orange dominicana network! I have mytouch 4g and an atrix 4g... None if them get the 3g connection (mt4g is 900 3g and atrix 850) . Any ideas?
I will second (or third) the requests made above....
I was also in D.R. recently with my Tmobile Vibrant and couldn't get EDGE data connectivity with Claro to save my life. I went f***ng nuts trying everything. I had researched my phone capabilities ahead of time and found the following:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
HSDPA 1700 / 1900 / 2100
From the posts listed above, Claro has 2G @ 1900Mhz. When I checked Wikipedia prior to my trip, it shows:
Claro Dominicana
CDMA 1xEV-DO in 800/1900 MHz
GSM/GPRS/EDGE in 850/1900 MHz
UMTS/HSDPA service in the 850 MHz band
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?
Is there some kind of trick to get 2G data working? I am at a loss...I should have had 2G data (I knew I wasn't getting 3G), instead I was all sorts of lost without Google Maps. For the record...paper maps suck!
Someone PLEASE shed light on this situation. I am going back soon, I need data on my phone!
T-mo's 3G bands are not compatible with Orange 3G. The Atrix is not compatible either, however, theoretically you can use the Atrix with Claro's 3G since Att and Claro's 3G bands are compatible. I haven't tried this yet.

[Q] frequency on my GSM carier

hi guys
im from Israel..
i just got a new HTC aria device
i unlocked it with a code for any GSM carier for supported Israeli's network
now the phone is no longer under AT&T, it for Cellcom (an Israeli company)
the device support this:
HSPA/UMTS/(1900/850MHZ) GSM/GPRS/EDGE (Quad band 850/900/1800/1900MHZ)
Cellcom SIM CARD support this:
HSPA/UMTS/(2100MHZ) GSM/GPRS/EDGE (Quad band 850/900/1800/1900MHZ)
when i entered a regular sim which is for GSM only the device worked just fine..
but when i entered the USIM (the HSPDA's supported sim card - that suppose to support the GSM frequency as well) the device couldnt recognize any carier..
what should i need to do?
is there a way for changing the sim card frequency settings from the Android's settings?
do i have any possibilty for using HSPDA supported sim card without supported frequency in Israel?? because the device soesnt know the 2100MHZ HSPDA freq.
cause i thougt that device will handle this issue (works for calls) and will block me only when ill want to web through the Cellcom mobile in HSPDA
but still will let me to web through GSM witch is more slowly..
HeLPPPPP
i think you're out of luck unless you get the proper sim card for the proper frequencies.
Since Cellcom uses UMTS 2100, you would have been better off to buy an Asian or European phone. AT&T doesn't use the 2100 band and decided not to include it in this phone. You won't get 3G on that carrier.
According to Wikipedia, another provider - Pelephone - has some of its 3G service on the 850 band which would be supported by the Aria. But in any area that is served only by the 2100 band, your Aria will not get 3G.
No idea why one particular SIM isn't letting you onto their GSM network.

umts HSPA how find out what Frequency i have

Hello i have a ARIA and where can I find out what Frequency is installed.
It says HSPA 850/900/1900/2100. GSM is clear and no question.
But the UMTS/HSPA is my question. N
Any Way or tool i can find this out ? I know this modell is under another name in Europe on the market as well.
This is a Tool or tip that would be helpfull on any HTC Phone ? Thanks
Look underneath the battery. If it says A6366 then your phone is 850/1900. If it says A6380 then your phone is 900/2100.
