Hi Guys,
Recently, my favorite local radio station started streaming though an embedded media player on their site. (http://channel933.com/cc-common/streaming_onesite/) Before this transition, I could click there link and my WM Media player would open up and play the stream.
Now, I get an error saying the page is not supported. Does anyone know of a way around this? Are their plug ins for embedded media playback? Any compatible web browsers out there?

Hi, I have looked everywhere for this problem but no solution. I have a wizard and I want to stream windows media music and videos from my computer thru wifi. but it keeps saying ''parameter is incorrect''. I've always played music from my computer with other pocket pcs but not this one. has anyone found a solution or tweak to do this? is it a windows mobile 5 problem? thanx for any help.
How are you streaming? Using SMB shares or are you using Windows Media Encoder or the like of? If SMB shares, check you can browse the directories first.
As far as i know, Media Player can't handle networking.
I use Conduits Pocket Player. It's not free, but IMO it is the best i have tried. It's has the best format support, handles gapless playback and has plugins for album art etc.
There are free good players around, but i have not tested them with streaming, although i believe GS Player can.
TCPMP is free can also player files accross a network, but it's more of a video player really.
I have a mda vario/wizard on t-mobile uk network... when i tried streaming using the streaming video program i think its windows media player, but it says "live streaming is not supported" when i try to connect it goes to "rtsp://" what do i have to put in? i don't know! I have also downloaded realplayer one. Can i use this as a default player? and if so how do i do it.. Does anyone have any on the ideas?
thanx

This might shed some light, but I haven't tried to live stream anything so I don't know first-hand.
Media guide
You can open a browser page that allows you to access a media guide
with links to streaming media sites and files.
To stream from the Internet:
1 Configure your RealOne Player default access point (see “Default Access Point setting”).
2 From the main Menu, open Services (XHTML browser).
3 In the Bookmarks view, open the Mobile Media Guide bookmark.
Note: In the RealOne Player, you can only open an rstp://url
address. You cannot open an http://url address.
4 Find a link to a streaming site that interests you, and select the link.

Does anybody know how to setup our IE so that it will not trigger streaming media player, and load the flash video inside IE instead?
I know that even someone can did this, IE still cannot support youtube in desktop website (which is Flash 10 content). But, in some occasions, playing flash video directly in the broswer will be very handy.
Thanks
youtube in IE works fine here, embeded youtube vids too, I've never seen it open streaming video player for flv
The Youtube client is a no-go for me. It would just "connecting.." endlessly and would not play at all. Is there a way so that when I'm browsing on Opera and come across a youtube video that when I press play, it would open the streaming media player instead of the youtube player? I look in the registry under opera to see the default player setting but didn't find any. Basically I don't want to use the youtube client program at all, and would rather have all the youtube videos be open with the streaming media player instead. Any help? thank you
Hi,
what app do you use to view videos on Dailymotion/MTV/... ? On my HTC I use "Streaming Media Player" (seems to be a HTC app). I tried arcDownload so far, but it is not so good. VPlayer and Rockplayer doesnt seem to stream.
What do you guys use?
Regards
I use stock player. Like it the best so far.
Stock player for MTV??
I don't go and stream from MTV, but if you are referring to MTV/ontv - then i checked, it streams no problem. Dolphin HD to mtv website and then just click on video to start playing. Maybe i did'nt understand the question.
Thank you, I will try Dolhin HD. My problem is, that there is no special player opening for Flash (.flv) video. It is embedded on the site and very slow. Its faster in a standalone player.
upnplay works best for me! Also for streaming stuff from XBMC
When I'm at home, i just stream stuff from my PC with Estrong File Manager via SMB, but still use the stock player.
