So i'm sending my wizard/mda back to t-mo for warranty and i need to relock it (i assume) i have all of the files from my unlock using lokiwiz, but i can't find a clear answer on how to relock it. i looked all over the forum, can anyone help? thanks.
--- I found a method,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=285253&highlight=relock
but it didn't work for me... anyone else have an idea? i found no lock function in a menu in lokiwiz as mentioned in the following post unfortunately.
If I remember correctly I saw the lock-function on the menue of the lokiwiz-tool when I used it to unlock ...
Drop it down to buttons 1.05 ROM. Using lokiwiz relock and then reflash it to T-Mobiles original ROM. That is what I recommend so far
I had my ex Charmer to send back to the factory (HTC Europe) to have the rear speaker fixed.. twice. I had the Charmer SIM unlocked and CID unlocked, it went through the warranty check without problems.
thanks guys. and i DID find the "lock" function in lokiwiz, i guess i was goin too fast.

Hello,
I'm trying to find a solution for my problem. I've searched the whole xda developers forum but I can't find an answer.
I've unlocked (and unlocked the CID) my T-Mobile MDA Vario with Lokiwiz, how can I put the CID lock back on my Vario. I need to send my phone in with a problem. Anyone who has an answer?
Thank you in advance.
Roy
I've read that cid restors automatically when you install backed-up rom with CIDlock, but I'm not sure when it comes to it and I'm also looking for sb who can prove it [;.
I've sent my phone to HTC for repair without doing anything to CID lock it. I did a hard reset though. I guess it locked itself up upon hardreset or the HTC people just don't borther if it is CID lock or not.
I am thinking about polish mobile operator - orange an its warranty and I know that he cares about cid lock.
Anyway, are you sure, that after hard-reset CIDlock comes back?
You can restore cid by restoring the lock_backup.bin file that was created during the unlock process.
to do that see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/vie...postorder=asc&highlight=cid+locking&start=400
look for britman's post.
Hard reset will not restore cid.
Thanks again ^^'.
please just someone get back to me. I dont want someone to say REREAD THE FORUMS, cuz ive been through that, done it all, more than 3 times each, and NOTHING WORKS. I CANNOT TELL IF ITS UNLOCKED. I CANNOT INSTALL WM 6.0

First off, state your problem, second off ALL CAPS IS TOTALLY ANYOING.
To check if your Device is locked, pit in a different simcard (so not a simcard from the same provider but a DIFFERENT one). If it asks a unlock code it's locked.
Second, installing WM6 (probably) requires your device to be CID unlocked.
(here comes the irony) Look up a topic, or use to search function on CID and you'll find allot of ways/solution to un cidlock your device and be able to flash it with whatever rom you want.
If you want to find out if your phone is CID unlocked, download Wizard Service Tools, install it on your computer and then click the CID actions button and it will tell you if you're CID unlocked or not.
I have a tytn and I used the pof application to unlock the simlock?
For purposes I won't get into, I need to restore the simlock. It was originally with Rogers. I have already restore the ROM, not the radio, and have yet to downgrade the SPL/IPL but will do so after I am satisfied with the restoration.
Thanks
unless I missed something on pof's thread, once u sim unlock then it's always unlocked.
I actually don't see it posted anywhere if it is possible to reverse the sim unlock for warranty purposes...
I just switched from a TyTN and while it's charging I'm downloading my applications again and backing up my TyTN's PIM.
There's only one problem now: I'm a noob again!
I got used to the Hermes tool (went through 3 TyTNs) but now everything is different. I don't need to change carrier, but I don't want the Rogers ROM. I got the ROM but not the unlocker.
Can anyone point me to an unlocker for the Elfin? I used the search button but it's pretty confusing.

Sim unlock your phone for free using this tool and the unlock code generated by it:

CID unlock your phone for flashing other cooked ROMs:

Be very careful in CID unlocking your phone. One incorrect step and you can brick your device.
Is it possible to unlock the device (MDA Compact III) if all I get is the bootscreen with IPL, SPL etc numbers? I tried soft and hard reset and all that stuff I could find here, but none of those helps... I would like to try to flash it, but haven't unlocked it yet so I'm afraid I would brick the device.
All that remains is the three-colored loader, which I can enter without problems.
Any help would be apreshiated...

Hi!
You have to read CID with MTTY and find the proper ROM to flash it back to life or you need to make a Goldcard with another WM device and put it to your device and flash it with an official ROM.

So far I have seen posts only about getting the original ROM and flash my MDA with it. Well, since I haven't been able to get the original ROM for my device, I'm trying to cook my own ROM with the same parameters the original ROM should have. So far no success....
In case anyone has T-Mobile Sk original ROM and could share it... It would make me really happy
How to read CID with MTTY ?
Thanx !
Hmmm yeah, i am also trying to Unlock CID of my T Mobile MDA Compact-III and then i will flash it later with WM6 ROM. Being a total novice in this field, i am going through all the posts to figure out how to unlock CID.
And i also could not find original ROM of ma device. The links in the forum are of some tm-phonedownloads, but his site is offline for a long time i guess.
Any ways if u get any luck then pls post here as well.
