Problem with poutlook

Hi all,
I configured an account with poutlook and everything was working fine for a while....
after a soft reset the account disappeared, it is not in the switch account list anymore. I tried to reconfigure it with the same name (FDG) but I can't because FDG exists already (so where is it?????).
Another annoying thing is that in the today screen I have FDG 8 new messages and I cannot get rid of it, if I tap on it nothing happen.
I configured other 2 accounts and same thing happened after a soft reset....
Is there a solution to this?

there are other forums that discuss this issue, and it happens occassionally, from memory, you need to switch off your device for a period of time (about 20 seconds) before you soft reset.
try searching some of the forums, it hasnt happened to me.

Its a known problem, you have to use a software button (such as SPB Pocket Plus to soft reset your device.

Messaging: Unable to display the attachment.

Setting up a friends MDA, and not wanting to do another hard reset. His MDA is set up with exchange and activesync. When you try to open any email attachments, which are set to save to SD, it gets a window titled "Messaging" which says "Unable to display the attachment."
Any ideas?

Same problem here. Can't find a solution, so I'm probably going to hard-reset today.

Maybe the attachment you are trying to open is not associated with any program installed on the PPC!??

No, the problem happens with JPG and GIF attachments. There's a fundemental problem with attachments, as I can't send them either - if I choose a picture I've just taken with the camera, and choose 'Send' and send it via email, the attachment is corrupted (a 59k image is truncated to 99 bytes).
It definitely used to work, but something's caused it to break in the last few weeks. If somebody knows how to fix it without hard-resetting I'd be very grateful!

I had a similar problem, except active sync refused to download attachments for some reason. It owuld just go trough the motions and then announce the download had failed. no idea why but the two could be linked somehow. other problems I had at the time were today screen not loading up properly with the storage card in, inserting the storage card stopped push-email until I soft-reset the device and frequent device hangs. As there was a new rom available I decided the best thing to do was to flash the rom and start again. THis may be the best course fo action for you too. I also over-clocked to 240mhz and its like I got a completely new machine!

Ah well, too late, I've hard-reset now. :roll:

i did a hard reset too...
the only thing i could think that may have affected the mail would be that i installed flex mail 2006 for testing but never ended up using it...
did you guys install that too?

Seems like it has done it again... I dont want to hard reset all my stuff again!!!!!!!!!!

I am also hard resetting as we speak because I just can't solve this one.

Solution!
Ok... this has happened again and I know now what has caused it!
I was cleaning out some directories prior to it happening again. It then happened and I realised what i had deleted had caused this problem.
Make sure you have the following directory in your ppc memory storage:
"/Program Files/Connections/Mail Attachments"
After I recreated this directory it all started working again.
Finally I found the solution to this annoying problem!!!!!

No alarm sounds OR popup window from Tasks nor Appointments

HI All - This is odd. I'm using version 8.09 of Agenda Fusion - A PIM. It's behaved perfectly up until a few days ago. Now, if I add a new task or appointment with an alarm, the alarm doesn't ring and the window doesn't pop-up. If I import all the PIM data to another XDA Exec it all works fine.
I tried hard resetting the device and then resyncing with outlook but it only worked (Tasks alarm and pop up) for a few TEST tasks. Now any NEW tasks or appointments wont trigger the alarm nor a pop-up reminder window.
I've now hard reset three times (phew!) and it's made no difference.
I reckon it's got NOTHING to do with Agenda Fusion, but wondered if anyone had any ideas...?
The only thing I have been able to determine is that if hard reset it and DON'T import any of the old date and create an alrm (task or appointment) - it works fine. All other sounds and programs are working as they should

Hi Steve, I am suffering the same with Pocket Informat, so it is clear that it has nothing to see with the PIM you are using.
I have not a solution, so if anyone can help us, we will thank very much.

outlook problems

hello, just recently i have had a strange problem with outlook.
When pressing the email in sense it does not open my email and when i view all messages it will not open from there, searched the forums end tried the lock trick didn't work!
soft reset does not fix the issue, i think only a hard reset will resolve this but before i do for anyone else having this problem id see if there is a quick fix out there which has not been mentioned before.
all was working with no problems, then this suddenly started, and it won't let me compose a message, but it still is syncing with exchange just doesn't open the mail.
I'm running the eguarna rework rom, its been fantastic except for the strange fault.

Issues with HTC Calendar time

I have searched the forum and cannot find any similar issues, I have been using the HTC calendar with success however today when I have tried to add a new appointment the time field is frozen and will not allow me to input a time, it then sends an error report.
I am a novice user with this phone and would appreciate any help you can give me.

I also have problem with calendar.

I have similar problems. I can neither change the time in the htc calendar. Its frozen, or should I say greyed out and looks very 2D. I have not found a solution to this other than a hard reset, but dont wanna do that. I have worked around the problem by using the wm6 calendar to make new appointments. This will show correctly in the htc calendar, but I want to be able to use the htc calendar as intended. Any help would be awsome......

Did you guys get the problem solved? On my HD2 it's the same, flat, greyed Buttons an nothing touchable. This is very annoying. German Vodafone HD2 unlocked, stock ROM.
