hello everyone,
I recently bought a locked Qtek 9100 (SPV M3000/HTC Wizard) and I was trying to unlock it using lokiwiz v0.2. It went through all the steps without any problem, but one... it was still sim locked!
Maybe because my phone is a new version, as it had Feb 06 as its original date... I don't really have any clue.
As this didn't work, I tried to find out in Google if I could find any unlocking code, even if I had to pay 30 euros for it, as that free tool didn't work it out for me.
I used www.gsmliberty.net, paid for it, followed all their instructions - again, everything went perfect - and in the end... ... my phone is not working anymore!... It doesn't even get to the Windows Mobile Logo...
It shows HTC logo and the provider logo, but then reboots and keeps going on this cycle as long as the battery lasts.
I've tried to hard reset, but it stays all the same! I do everything as I have found out in every forum that has some information about it, and it still can't get out of this rebooting cycle...
Can anyone help me on this?
I fear that it had some kind of advanced protection against known unlocking tools and now its ruined for good
Please tell me that we can work this out! The phone was working perfectly before, when I inserted a SIM card that it allowed (from the phone's provider...)
Any help will be most welcome!

Sorry to hear of your problems. Please tell me the details of the rom including the ipl and spl numbers. Is the rom a qtek one? - your post is confusing.
I would try reflashing the device with the original rom as the format has failed to do anything.
Download rom from here ftp://[email protected]/Wizard/Roms/Qtek/ password is xda.
To get to the bootloader screen to do this, turn off your device then press and hold camera button and then power on. You should then reach the multicolored bootloader screen. Connect to pc using usb cable and you should see usb in bottom left of screen. (the device does not need to be activesynced to flash rom) then start exe on pc and the device will reflash.

No problem glad you got it sorted. I like to help (this is what this FORUM is for) and would hope that it does make a difference. Best way you can help is learn, learn, learn and then help, help, help others. The helpers in the forum seem to come and go so i suppose there is a shortage, most come for info and advice. I enjoy posting helps me relax lol thats why i have over 1000 posts - must be well chilled out by now :wink:

exe is the RUU (RomUpdate Utility) icon in the Rom you downloaded,just run the RUU,it'll start to flash.

Vista is still not compatible for flashing,use winXP,its highly recommended and doen't give any problems.

This is my first post on this forum.
Im new to the Pocket Pc's. I got this T-Mobile MDA II from my friend 2 days ago and that was the first time in my life when I touched the PPC.
I have a big problem.
MDA II is not reading the SMS (''the phone is not ready, try again in 15min'').
And another problem is GPRS. MDA says ''connecting'' or something like that, and nothing happens.
The PPC is from Germany, and I live in Croatia. And the language is in English-Germany.. Something is on English, something on Germany.
Can someone explain what's the problem ?
And another question
I download the WM6.1 AKU1.0(build 19199).
I can't get to the Bootscreen mod, I click the middle navigation button, then power button and nothing happens.
And where is the reset button ?

I need someone to explain how to install ROM on MDA II.
the reset button is on the left of the charging block ( tiny hole )
follow these instructions
Start your device in bootloader mode by pressing and holding down:
DPad + PowerButton + ResetButton
After a second release ResetButton, then release the rest of them.
Your screen will show word "Serial" at the top.
You are in bootloader mode now.
Place your device in the cradle, ensuring that the cradle
is plugged directly into a USB port on your PC and not to a hub
and that the power supply is connected to the cradle.
It is also a good idea to disable any screensavers on your desktop PC.
Once your device is cradled, the text on the screen will change to "USB".
Run HimaUpgradeUt.exe
Sit back and wait for the Congratulations screen to be displayed
on your PC. Your device will still be displaying 'Upgrading ROM Image, please wait....',
but as long as the PC says it is done, then its all OK.
Detach your device from the cradle.
Now you have to hardreset your device.
Press ResetButton and hold down CameraButton + RecordButton.
Hold them pressed until the "Boot Options" menu appears on the screen.
Select the options as follows:
(for selecting use RecordButton, change values with CameraButton)
Enable KITL -> NO
Clean Registry Hive -> YES
Format Storage -> YES
When done, press DPad and wait until OS starts.

I also just purchased an Qtek 2020 and wondered if i need the usb craddle or would a usb sync cable do for rom upgrade.

This is also my 1st post here. But I'd been monitoring the xda-developer forums for a long time. I spend more time reviewing posts rather than posting in forums. Anyways I think I can help. So, I have a Wizard with T-mobile logo on it. Display has been changed, 'cause the original was broken. New display has been buyed from *-bay. Both displays are the same. When put the new display in the Wizard, everything looks fine, except the 8-bit color on the skreen ;( . Last night i read and make step by step things in this Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298613 , but i need to stop on step G3.4 - i have a success update from step G3.3 with CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE, but when i start the Wizard_Love_2.26.10.2_WWE_Novii_CF2, there is an error - 206 (on italian).
After that, i have read the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=285435 thread, and started again... First update has been successfull (maybe), the Wizard started with Winmobile 5 (WM6 has been installed before starting updates).
That's the specs:
ipl: 1.01
spl: 1.01
rom date 2/02/07
radio: 01.12.10
rom version: 6.0.0.0 wwe
protokol version: 4.0.13.23
extRom version: Empty Extended (before updating)
Now, after 1st update are:

You have downgraded your phone to IPL/SPL 1.xx by flashing Button's Rom 1.05.there's no need to flash wizard_love_Rom,instead download and apply lokiwiz02b tool to SIM/CID unlock the phone and then download T-mobile 2.26 and flash to upgrade to IPL/SPL 2.xx for upgrading to wm6.The above guide was written quite a while ago,its better you follow the most updated guide as in the link below:-

Thanks a lot zabardast_1, but I have 1 problem - Activesync didn't find any Pocket, attached to the computer, so i can't make the steps in the tutorial.. the pocket is SIM unlocked.

Is your phone working normal,does it load up to OS ? to check the connectivity,get the phone into bootloaders(tricolor screen) connect via usb cable and check if usb appears at the bottom of the bootloaders,if not then there's a connectivity problem,either with usb cable or the mini usb port of the phone.
if the phone works normal and loads OS,then you can even try to use lokiwiz02b or WST tool via BT and CID unlock the phone.
It's normal working, like I said in my 1st post - 8bit color. I think it's from OS, but i'm not sure - i have downgrade form WM6 to WM5, and the problem is still here .
In bootload mode have indication for USB - bottom left on the screen, the battery has charging, but ActiveSync still don't want to find my Wizard..
P.S. Pfffff, I decline to fight with that.... Monday i'll test with other USB cable. Even it charging battery, i think ActiveSync can't recognize the Wizard, because USB cable is failed somewhere,...

If its working normal and it establishes connectivity through usb as it appears in the bootloaders,then,its the AS software,which is not detecting.Assuming you are using winXP,Delete all partnerships/profiles in the settings of the AS or Uninstall As and download the latest version 4.5 and install it,close any Antivirus/Firewall or any other software which might be hindering with AS and let it again activesync.Also remember to uncheck 'Enable advanced network functionality' in the settings...> connections...> usb to pc options in your phone.
Hello again. I try to install 3 versions of AS, but the result is the same - No Connection. reset the wizard 3 times, stop all running software - ICQ, Skype, antivirus, browser... no and no.
When AS looking for device, there is 7 8 COM ports, Infrared (no installed), USB available, but AS can't find my bluetooth...
I have install bluetooth, and make connection with the wizard, but i can't unlock with lokiwiz02b-HTC Unlocker.
Better try on other winXP based pc

Hello everybody,
Does anyone can tell how to fix the error message "Unidentified USB device - Please enter the name of your device" etc.. + field to fill and Enter or Cancel buttons? Once it appears, most of functions of the device go frozen and all I can do is to soft - reset it which is very inconvenient of course.
To be precise the message is displayed at random, but more often when I type SMS (not necessarily the case however).
I know that only YOU guys may help me to find an issue. So I do trust in you all.

Yes, is it Vanilla, but with useful, standard apps (Java, MMS, Calc). i cooking new WWE ROM, no vanilla, but Vanilla Creamy (more software)

managed to restore my bricked BA, had to use vista32 bit, the given drivers for BA and this rom by ham3r.
Mm, current I'm using a manila2D on it, works well.
Btw, any ideas on how to make the start menu of the WM6.1 change it colors? I prefer black, matching with the manila2D darkness.

HR = Hard Reset (Push Camera Button + Voice Record and Resetbutton. Change the values KILT = NO, the rest yes. Change the values with die Voicerecord and Camerabutton. When finish Press the Mailbutton
ExtRom= Mostly runs automati when this folder is on your storage card, there are some extra programs for windows.
SR = Softreset (Press the reset Button with the Stylus)

in the open menu keep 1st line at no and select yes for 2nd and 3th lines
record change line and camera change yes/no
after that click mail button
