this guy has some neat idea's and some decent applications.
thought I'd re-spark the hype over him in a hope to see progress...

Looks pretty cool -- anyone use Dynamo? If it performs well, it looks like a really cool task manager.
I'm using it, and yeah it works well... but I'm trying to find a reason to keep it on short of because it looks cool. my reasoning is that it gives you the option to close a program without going to the settings dialog. I'm really after flow fx tho... and some decent image viewing or file exploring software.
ho' hum!

WARNING IPHONE HATERS... (semi-clone on board)
Details here.. http://iwindowsmobile.com/vito-mobile-shell.html
Looks like its open season on hacking this now.
If I can only get it to somehow show calendar events on a page, its a hit.
Interesting. The only thing that stil pulls the I-phone ahead in this race is the speed at which it can use thier shell. I still love my PDA more though. Thanks for the link.
Hmmm...can't wait to see some skinning for this.
*update*
DL'd the cab from the website listed. It hasn't asked for an activation code yet...found activation screen, 14-day trial.
It is fairly easy to run, doesn't seem to take a lot of memory. Very similar to iPhone icon UI, not as 'fancy' looking.
looks boring
There is definite room for improvement...not too bad for a 1st version but it's typical of Vito software.
Contacts can be set up with their own icon and can be mixed in with application icons.
I would like to see something along the lines of SPB Mobile Shell though...i.e. Clock page, calendar. Then again, I suppose that will just fatten it up and cause some memory drain like SPB already does.
I'll try it...
I'll try it for a few days.Thanks.
Looks good but why always duplicate the iPhone interface, come up with something better. The new Diamond interface is like a breath of fresh air. It lets us know there are other options out there that is also good.
the most boring thing about vito apps is how cheap they all look. ugly, ugly, ugly.
looks too generic reminds me of samsung gui
something unique would have been more eye catching!
Nice one
Cool feature, but why use it when I have this baby..
On the HTCTOUCH

Just curious but what is that?
**Update**
NM, I found this thread you were in...Is it WAD or WAD2 you're mostly using?

What was the warning for? Another dumb iPhone wan-a-be.
it's actually pretty nice... it just needs some graphical tweaks in my opinion...
Seems ok to me. Granted its similar to the iphone layout; however seems fairly simple and straightforward.
I like the semi black background without it being too black.
Everyone will have a view on this latest interface/gui. What we should remember is that there are people out ther doing an awful lot of development work to give us a better interface/more choice on the WM platform.
Constructive criticism and good points, e.g the request for skinning, is one thing. Simply lambasting the tool is not good enough.
Someone on here the other day was asking for ideas for a new UI for WM. Should we not seize on opportunities like this one presented to us?
Just my dollars worth.
WB
Winterface
I like the iPhone-like interface, and the customizeability. Aside from that, I agree that the overall apearance of SBP Mobile Shell is better.
amen! If I wanted an iPhone, I'd get a damned iPhone!!

is fine.... can you post?
I second WackyBanana.
It'd be great to have skinning sometime soon.
just my 2 cents worth, but iphone bashing is getting a bit droll, since we're all here on WM platforms anyways. You have to admit, Apple's UI's are pretty good, just really short on apps and customization.
So lets congratulate Vito and see if we can get some more customization options.
I would LOVE an option to turn off the Vito 'slide to unlock' option since I'm already using Slide2Unlock Pro 1.05...
like another person stated it looks boring! i wonder how well it will work? will it be speedy or sluggish?
On Modaco there is a new interface for the Omnia:
http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-...ated-9-12-08-new-graphic-interface-for-omnia/
Anyone seen this?
Would be nice to have on the Touch HD.....
looks ugly!!!
Interface looks like from some sci-fi movie, which means it's hard to use and useless.
the project its also on xda.. they released some flash demos and this from my point of view looks really promising.. fast animations and very finger friendly.. hope it turns out as good as they want it to be because this really deserves the hard work..
its a step forward like pointui
A lot of negative comments here guys. Personally, I think it looks ok great, and just 'cos it looks different to manila does not mean it wont work easily.
Let's give it a chance - then judge

I totally agree. Futhermore, I think it looks like a fantastic improvement on TouchFlo, which really is not a user-friendly interface.
I would agree, I think it looks fantastic. I'm not sure it's totally practical, but looks very impressive. Show that to your iPhone owning friends to make them jealous...
I read that Palm makes a legal war against the palm pre theme, so to avoid copyright issues and waiting news to take off the skin

Preview looks good....
what are you using to skin this?
nice....will keep an eye on the progress of this skin...

I using:
1. WAD
2. WAD desktop
3. iphone today
In this way the top bar webos style is always present!
Updated preview
It looks fantastic. Great job. Are you going to make a VGA-Version?
I don't think it would be that complicated. The PalmPre's homescreen is basically a big TaskManager. We already have "similar" apps on Windows Mobile like that on the Xperia. Just make a homescreen plugin with a large task manager like interface with the same touch gestures as the Pre. The complicated part I would imagine would be the menu.
I like your skins, but it would be best as a simple homescreen plugin. Using WAD and the likes eats up memory and the way it overlays sucks.
I'm not a programmer but there are lots of open-source projects that, if combined, could provide roughly the same effect. I think someone with some know-how could come up with it pretty quick by reusing code that is already available out there.

Before starting this project I tried a lot but none of the programmers built an interface palm webos like for WM. There are iphone, android, and other but webos not so I decided to build it yourself.
I hope very much that any programmer to engage in this project and does a better job of mine!

Look like PalmPre.Very beautiful and cool
really really nice hope to c a dialer =)
Update preview
Development continues! Added dialer
YAY give it! RELEASE NOW lol jk =D
but yes cool
Job well done.... This would go good with the WM6.5 theme I put together.

Looking good. Here's my little take on it. Using a modded PointUi
Slightly off-topic tip: I suggest Omnia users should use PointUi 2.0.28e if they want their phone/clock to function poperly. Any other higher version causes the clock to stick and (possibly) corrupt the green button.
subscribed!
hopefully vga support soon
WOW super nice. very clean. hope the release will be soon definately going to donate for this
WOW nice man, ill use this when it comes out. is this another wad theme?

Anyone had a look at the Silvermoon control libraries for .net applications?
It looks very impressive using opengl.
There's a demo app ( a very nice file explorer and titanium alike system)
as well as the controls at
http://silvermoon.codeplex.com/
Just try the demo "FileExplorer" .... Woooaaah very very nice and fluid
This could be something really really cool
[Tested on Topaz NRG Rom / Neos2007 Driver Beta 2]
agreed...
the more people that hear about this and try coding using it the better!
i have been playing arround with it, it's hell complicated but i will figure it out eventually
I had a play around with this last night, looks very promising indeed!!!
I have written an app in his previous Control set 'Fluid', so I'm a little more used to the layout and structure of it, though it is still more of a 'run and see if it has made a difference to how it looks/acts' situation. Though the graphics are stupidly smooth!
Wow! The potential for this must be amazing!
People need to take a look at:
http://silvermoon.codeplex.com/
And this vid of his Beta 2:

Suprised no one really mentions this... It's still in early testing stages and all that but I just installed on my phone and started messing around with it. Its pretty darn cool so far. Sweet looking interface and smooth scrolling, kinda has an android-ish feel to it. Here's the thread over at ageye.de with a cab for download.

Nothing special, who`s gonna use it when Schap`s Touchxperience is just around corner, and when you gonna flash phone with sense 2.5, and of course, when new Cookie`s home tab is out and you can customize your UI whatever you like.

I suppose it's a matter of personal taste, but I beg to differ.
I don't like the look of TouchXperience one bit, or SPB Molbile Shell - that's horrendous - but yes, CHT is very good.
The great thing about Infinity is that everyone can write widgets for it quite easily. Also, it looks good and performs really well considering it's only an Alpha release!
