Please teach me how to clear item(s) in NEW Menu....
i've uninstalled the program, but the shortcut entry in NEW MENU still exist...and it's kind of annoying... :shock:
Please help me...

Take the attached prog which will make a softreset and delete the items in the new menu.

@efayes: Search your registry and you'll know... can't tell you the key off-hand.

if you mean by New Menu the one that appears in the left lower corner of today screen then you'll have to go to
Start>Settings>Menu>New Menu then choose what shortcuts you like to see in it

brother, i've tried to go to SETTINGS>MENU>NEW MENU...the key is there....
but i've uninstalled the programmre...i can set it off so that i can see in the NEW MENU...but it does exist in the settings....i just dun like it...
Please help me to clear it off...

Kann schon sein, aber das Problem ist das ich eine nur deutsche SW habe und wie was übersetzt wurde etwas "merkwürdig" ist in der deutschen Version. Daher also meine Antwort.

PS: ein Beispiel, bei der Kameraeinstellung gibts den Begriff "Geschrei". Gemeint ist, und das ist eine Vermutung "hue" oder "tint". Also was isses ?

Charmer hangs in Bootloader

can you help me please?
the charmer don't boot. It hangs at the bootscreen. at usb mode activesync dosent find the phone.

i want to flash the original firmware. how can i do?

I can't make an update with the original firmware software. This Programm tolled me i must make a AktiveSync connetion. In Bootloader (CAM POWER Button) My computer find any USB device but activesync doesn't make a sync connection. Thats my problem. What can i do?

Active sync wont make a connection when your in bootloader mode. The update program will work, it doesnt need active sync connection.

I found it self. im so lucky because it do. sorry for my english. @ datenzwerg http://downloads.t-mobile.de/redire...ku3.3_38222_382117_026921_tmo_de_ger_ship.zip damit sollte es funktionieren auch wenn er eine sync verbindung haben will die brauch er aber nicht ein fach ins bootmenu und da dann usb an stecken und am computer starten ;-) bei mir hats geklappt

Solved the Problem
Hello,
i've solved the problem.
The German 3.3 Version can't be install by ventor check.
The Austria 2.0 Version can't be install by Active Sync check.
I used the ROM form The Austrian Update and the Software from the
German update Pack.
My Charmer have a useable ROM!!!

I had the same problem with the vendor Id and i tried to flash the austrian t-mob version ! It worked but at about 40% it saied error and now the bootloader goes on and within 5 sec it wents of! SO i cannot try to flash another time!
What can i do?

Internet Sharing disconnect

Hello, I have the problem that if I use my Trinity as a USB modem via Internet Sharing, then it functions, actually, quite wonderfully. But if I download bigger things, or look Flash videos, it breaks off the 3G connection after a short time automatically. Does somebody have a council?

Hallo, ich habe das Problem, dass wenn ich mein Trinity als USB Modem nutze via Internet Sharing, dann funktioniert das eigentlich ganz wunderbar. Aber wenn ich größere Sachen downloade, oder Flash Videos anschaue, bricht die 3G Verbindung nach kurzer Zeit automatisch ab. Hat jemand einen Rat?

Reset TCP IP Stack
I tried using WMWIFIRouter. I was having the same problem, but it automatically reconnects again. Which was better but not quite there. On their FAQ though they recommended trying to reset the TCP/IP Stack. Here is the link to that: http://support.wmwifirouter.com/knowledge/KB0807021/
After doing that mine has only disconnected like once, which my other computers that work do. So I hope this works for you too. If it does post to say so.

How debrand an Austrian (A1) x10i R1FA014

Hallo Leute, der Einfachheit halber schreib ich jetzt mal nicht in Englisch...
Ok ich hab ein X10i mit firmware R1FA014.
Soweit so gut, bis Punkt 5 der allgemein bekannten Schritten zum debranden läuft alles super aber dann:
1. Download files:
-SE PC Companion
2. Install PC Companion on your PC
3. Connect your phone when PC Companion asks
4. Check for updates - on this screen you will get the REPAIR option
5. Select repair - and let PC Companion guide you through it.
BIS HIER HER KEIN PROBLEM, ES SIND ABER KEINE FILES VON DER GRÖßE 110 oder 16 MB in dem Ordner!!!!
Maximal was mit 10 MB zu finden.
ICH HAB ECHT ÜBERALL GESUCHT; ABER AUCH IN ANDEREN ORDNERN IST NICHTS ZU FINDEN...
IST DAS EIN BEKANNTES PROBLEM?
WIE KANN ICH DAS X10i DENNOCH DEBRANDEN?

Ich will mal nicht so sein. Das einfachste Tool zum flashen (auch debranden) ist OMNIUS. Einfach mal googeln oder hier im Forum danach suchen. 2xGratis Account anlegen, bestätigen und in Omnius die Zugangsdaten eintragen.
R1...zip oben und die phone.zip darunter auswählen.
Firmware von hier nehmen:

Aber die Richtige (X10i - Shipped R1FA014 !!)
Danach könnte man sogar auf die R1FB001 updaten (optional)

I read in different forums that people bricked their X10 after flashing debranded firmware so I'm a bit curious. Mine is also R1FA014 and A1 branded.

I have create an account and installed omnius.
Then settings-> server-setting-> I have put in the pass login.
After I was trying to "unlock" the phone I also was trying to "flash" the x10.
Nothing...
I get always the message "incorrect password"
please dont think that I´m to stupid to put in the right!!
I was trying to log in by using the webside, works...
Was trying to change the pass, works on webside, only on webside...
I was creating a different acc. works, put the same massege.
I think for me this way to debrand does not work

[WLAN/OpenVPN]Using my Galaxy 9000 at university

Hi folks!
I need some sort of mentor to get out all of the avaible performance from my smartphone.
I am a student from Germany and I have been waiting for a long time for the offical froyo update distributed per KIES. Update worked fine, but my big problem still exists:
My university has Wlan - no problems to join it with WPA-Personal. But:
There are two ways to get it running properly,
1) setting up a proxy skript
2) building a openvpn-connection
to 1)
I can set up the http-Proxy by hand but it is very uncomfortable, because at home i have to go all the way down through menus to switch the proxy off again in Wlan-Settings.
On top of that the market and all the apps are not working because i can only set up http-proxy, but icq needs socks5
which leads me to 2)
OpenVPN should be the silver bullet- but needs root.
ok, i am quite familiar with flashing, updating etc - but the community was growing as fast as nothing before. There are million ways to root your phone and guides who to get openvpn running. Some solutions only work for 2.1 - so what is the best way how to get openvpn on my galaxy froyo 2.2 ? MAybe anyone can effort some time on ICQ mentoring me ?

or yet simpler task would be downloading ryanza's oclf app or z4root app from the market install it, and root your phone on the fly!

Ihr habt doch sicher eduroam, das braucht kein vpn und ist somit easy sich damit zu verbinden.
Also schau mal ob bei deiner schule das wlan netz eduroam vertreten ist, sollte aber bei jeder deutschen hochschule der fall sein.

So,
melde mich dann auch mal wieder.
1) Samsung Galaxy ist gerootet.
Erstes Problem:
War die Firmware Froyo 2.2 geliefert via KIES drauf, daher ging One-Klick Root von TGA-Gunman schonmal nicht. Die Update.zip wurde zwar auf das Phone gespielt und in den richtigen Modus gebootet, dann kam jedoch immer ein verification error.
Lösung:
Man benutze SuperOneClick zum rooten. Dauerte aber auch erstmal etwas, weil es nicht laufen wollte, Fehlermeldung war, dass .NET fehlt - Lösung: Win7 statt WinXP nutzen, steht ja auch beim Tool dabei
2) OCLF installiert, 1GB eingerichtet -> 1800 Punkte beim Benchmark, war schonmal gut
3) Busybox installiert, AdFree, Titanium Backup auch

Derzeitiger Stand Uni:
Setze nach wie vor den Proxy per Hand, browsen ist möglich, Mail über IMAP geht auch.
Was alles nicht geht:
Skype, Market, Twitter-App, ICQ, Wetter-Apps, etc.
Telefongespräch mit dem WLAN-Admin ergab, das eduroam eingeführt werden soll, derzeit aber noch daran gearbeitet wird. Leider hat er selbst kein Android-Phone zum testen, meinte aber ohne Proxyskript wird es dann schwierig.
Derzeitig geht also nur noch OpenVPN, um mit allem rauszukommen. Das ist aber hier mit allen Finessen ausgestattet, TUN/TAP, LZO-Komprimierung etc - ist das alles läuffähig unter Android ?

The phone has a builtin vpn client with certs etc, but I have no experience with this client.

Just google edurom and the name of your university, that should do it.

You don't need vpn for eduroam. Just your [email protected] and your password

Here's the deal. I have all the information needed (here it is: http://www.arnes.si/en/helpdesk/edu...nstructions-on-establishing-a-connection.html), but the problem is that I can't get to a point where I would be able to enter these settings. When I'm at my UNI, I check available wireless connections and (try to) connect to Eduroam, but the first thing it asks me is a credential storage password, which I don't have (it's not the one connected with my own user name).
I would think the problem is here:
CA Certificate of your home organization. If you use the client:
eduroam_client, CA certificate is automatically added when installing the client - it's not automatically added
SecureW2, CA certificate is added to the device after the first connection to the Eduroam network - if I understand correctly, SecureW2 is only for computers, not mobile phones
some other clients require to add the CA certificate manually before connecting to the Eduroam network - I have no clue how to do this
EDIT: Ok, I just found out that the credential storage password has nothing to do with WiFi or Eduroam, but it's for the phone. Here's a puzzler, I never set it, so how do I know what it is? LOL!
