I have a copy of wm2005 for the himalayer upgrade, with active sync 4
its called himaupgradeut.exe
It looks like it tries to update the magician with no error messages , it got to erasing current data and I got scared and unpluged the cable. :lol:
Does any one know if it will work?
I can confirm that active sync 4 does work , I think the only differences is it can nativly sync over blue tooth and it more reliable.

there is nooooo way u can upgrade a Magician with the use of Himalaya ROM,whether it's a 2003,SE or Magneto....
I once tried to do that,so i was aming to upgrade an i-mate JAM(Magician),by running the i-mate Himalaya ROM(purely experimentation,u don't have to do it!!! :wink....the JAM passed the first check coz both devices were CDL and WWE....but when i decided to proceed,i ended up with a "stuck in bootloader" JAM....(i managed then to fix it later )...
From now on bro....if u wanna try...then do it at ur own risk :wink:

well, just flashed my o2 with qtek rom, everything seems fine, but my most beloved keyboard have incompitalbe key mapping problem.
yes, my o2 s is wwe, and my new qtek is wwe, but qtek mahcine hasn't got the build-in euro and £ sign, and some symbol key is mis-marched.
however, luckyly enough since they both made from HTC Design , their letter keys are the same. so at least you can type most of ur stuff in correct key mapping.
the conclusion here is if you want the latest rom, and willing to accpet imperfection on ur machine, take different brand rom. else stay with it and waiting for your own update.
ps: I know AEKMap works, but, to me it is not a real fix, cos, the reason I want upgrade new rom is to increase performance of my mini, run another program at startup make it a bit pointless to upgrade.
PS again: are there someone good enough to fix this in driver level or registry hack, rather then make me run another layer of app. thx.

Is there a way to upgrade the Qtek S100 or S200 so that it is compatible with the Remote Sim Acces Profile?
I own now the S100 and it is not compatible. Since i have my new car now with this state of the art bluetooth carkit i really need a rSAP compatible phone. Untill now i only found a few Nokia's and Siemens phones that are compatible. But i want to keep my Qtek!!!!!
So please help me find out if there is an update, and if so, where i can find it!

Some Windows Mobile 5 devices are announced to get SAP with some later update. I don't think that it will be available for WM2003 devices, so the magician is out of race already. I also don't know another possibility like Bluesoleil or the patch which makes A2DP available. Maybe we'll be lucky one day and there will come a solution, at the moment there's none as far as I know.

ok ok...I don't understand the real problem of our alpine, I had a 2020 in the past and I decide to change with the alpine thinking it was better (and it really is), but no one want to focuse the attention to wm5 or wm6 even if there is wm5 for the 2020...why??
we have more power, more memory, wifi ....what's the problem!!!
I am not an expert in this field,but a good informatic engineer could change wm5 for 2020 to one for alpine.
I am very upset beacuse a lot of programs are just for wm5...
when is WM6 or WM5 coming for Alpine as there is alot program that uses Wm5 nowsaday.
Really Wishes Alpine will resurrect from the day, as it became popular with it high specification and WM2003SE to present WM5 or WM6

I'm a newbie to this forum so go easy on me. I've had a HTC blue Angel for the longest time and it finally died on me, so I upgraded to a Tytn (Cingular 8525). I'm used to messing with the ROMS of my blue angel so flahsing new roms is not mystery to me.
I've tried the default ROM that comes with the 8525, and also the newest version from cingular. I also tried the LVWM WM6 version that was released here, and this leads me to a question:
Is there any way to get bluetooth DUN working in WM6? I realize that there is PAN support in WM6, however my computer (Macbook) does not suport PAN so it is currently not useful to me.
DUN works in WM5 on the Mac natively, is there some way I could get the WM5 DUN working in WM6?

EDIT: Aparrently it does support PAN, but it only works with the PAN in the AKU3.3 release of WM5. It seems it does not work with the PAN in WM6?
