Bigjohn
Search thorugh the forum, a very very good manual exist indeed.
Does anyone know where I can purchase a new keyboard for my Kaiser ?
NEVERMIND I FOUND IT!
BUT... I don't know how to install it if I buy it. Can anyone help ?
Does anyone know where I can find a tutorial of the Kaiser Keyboard Installation
Uh, may i know what you found?
I think he means he found the Kaiser keyboard.
And if you did can you please tell me where? a couple of buttons on my tilt is messed up so its good to have a backup .
you can go to htclcd.com and get the disasembly tutorials from there..after you take it apart..its pretty easy to replace the keyboard..just follow the instructions to take it apart
cnn.cn for parts and check the wiki for disassembly guide.
Watch out for cnn.cn though.. my brother ordered the black casing for his n82 which arrived very quickly. During installation he broke his LCD so he ordered one from cnn.cn. The next day a package arrived but it was torn open with no LCD in it. So he reported it to cnn.cn which asked him to report it to UPS which he did. UPS refunded cnn.cn the $60+ for the LCD and no cnn.cn is telling UPS that he never ordered an LCD from them.
So basicly UPS paid cnn.cn back for the lcd and now they won't send him one. He already reversed the transaction to them so he got his money back but they ripped off UPS and got $60+ for nothing...
is there a more current place to buy a keyboard?
the vendor listed does not show them on their web site. My 'v' key and 'b' key are sluggish as far as responsiveness.
the laziest way to change yer keyboard is to get a bluetooth one, lmao

Where you found it?
Any chance one of you folks that replaced a keyboard would be willing to send me a single key? (The F key is missing on my keyboard.. I can still press the hole under it, but would be nice to put a key-top back in the gap)
PM me if anyone might be able to help. will donate to your beer fund.
I found it http://www.pocketpctechs.com/main~u...rs-htc+kaiser+parts+only~item~HTC-T2IKB01.htm
What about the Tilt keyboard? That one has the Kaiser special characters.
try a keyboard from www.gsm4world.com
Hi,
You don't want to buy this one from pocketpctechs. The inner keyboard alone would not fit. You need the outer keyboard. See an extended discussion of how to install keyboard from page 12 onwards in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=337102
(keyboard issues are handled from Page 12 onwards)
I purchased one of such whole keyboards from (http://www.gsm4world.us/shop/tytn-p4550-keyboard-flex-p-1433.html) and installed it myself, twice.
You can use the dismantling guide on the wikki here to guide you. There is also a service manual here - http://e5hopa.bay.livefilestore.com..._TILT_8925_KAISER SERVICE MANUAL.pdf?download - to help you dismantle the Kaiser.
Once you dismantle the Kaiser, you will know how to replace the keypad - infact removing the keypad is part of the process, hence you just insert and screw on the new one.
good luck - MN

Is there a way to disassemble and clean the 8125 so that the keyboard will operate better? After years of use certain buttons are beginning to fail. It makes operation pretty tough.
Any auggestions? I can't seem to search and find the right terms.
Search for the Wizard Service Manual, its got complete disasembly instructions and pictures. It does not tell you how to clean the keyboard specifically, but it does have all the info you need to get to that step.
Thank you!
Hi fellow members of xda-developers. i plan to paint my housing because it has too many scratches. i already painted the front part but the middle where the query keyboard is not yet finish. i already disassembled the sliding part from 2 pieces. i was trying to figure it out from how to remove the qwerty keyboard out of itshosing so i can paint the whole middle part with worrying to paint the qwerty keyboard. by the way, i was talking about o2 xda IIs. It does have any screws at the back so i'm very confused. hope someone already done this. pls help. tiA!
the official service manual for blueangels covers disassembling the entire device, so i suppose, removing the hard keyboard is in there too, so here's the link:

Glad to see that your issue got resolved. From now on, please post your questions in the Questions and Answers thread rather than opening a new thread to ask questions. Also, make sure that you search the forum and the wiki as well. Most answers are readily available. Thanks.

Hi There!
Does anyone have a step by step guide with lots of pictures for dismantling one? I have been quoted a huge amount for taking mine to peices to clean it after somehow a chocolate bar melted and some of it got in the hard keys.
Howzit, hope this helps u out..
Check --»Here«-- and --»Here«-- for detailed disassembling and assembling your Hd2..
Thanks muchly. I won't be doing it. I'll need to get a service agent to have a look I think. My keys are sticky after a chocolate bar melted over the hard keys, I thought it would be easy, but it doesn't look easy at all!
