Hi chaps,
Ive got a brand new XDA2 2 weeks ago and I bought a Bluetooth GPS receiver from these guys:
http://cgi6.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI...ex_gensales&include=0&since=-1&sort=3&rows=50
Works perfectly without patching, hotwiring or standing on my head - NICE 1!
My question is, can anyone recommend an incar bluetooth handsfree kit rather than headset that works with the xda2???
And is it true that I can run 2 bluetooth devices at the same time if I patch my xda with the now world famous bluetooth patch featured on this forum?
Thanks guys...
Darren
I am running tomtom 2 with the 2.09 gps driver and also a bluetooth headset at the same time without any patch.
ahhhhhh....
so you *can* run more than one device now *without* patching hhhmmmm.... ahhhh... cool, what model is your headset? I really want a bluetooth car kit which detects the phone and takes control when i get into the car but it'll be good to know a headset that definatly works.
Thanks man
I have a sony-ericsson hbh-200 which works ok but only for answering the phone, also it needed rebonding many times. I am now using a Skypower EZ232 ez clip which works the same but re-connects after going out of range, I am as I type, linked via activesync over bluetooth to my pc, I have internet working on the xda2, my bluetooth headset is also working and I also have tomtom2 working using gpsmart gps bluetooth receiver, so more than one device is definitely ok without any patches.
top BT Carkit: Parrot CK2000 or later
I use these fix built in BT-carkit. it makes a good word with the htcII
nice one
Thanks guys.......

Nokia CK 1-W doesn't work
I've tried the Nokia CK 1-W carkit, but this carkit doesn't work properly with the MDA II. Nokia only supports the handsfree profile and the MDA II is only supporting the headset profile.
The headset profile has got less features than the handsfree profile. I know that Sony Ericsson and Parrot supports both profiles. When you want to have supported all handsfree features by your carkit you need the handsfree profile!
Does anybody knows an update to fix this problem?
Hi all
I received my xda exec yesterday, and most things seem to be OK, but I can't get it to work with my Motorola HS810 bluetooth headset. Does anyone know why this might be? If it's a total incompatibility thing, and I have to get a new headset, could anyone recommend a cheap but serviceable alternative?
Many thanks,
Carol
not sure about your headset but my sony headset worked fine
better than it did with my sony p900 infact as the pairing seems a lot more pernament where as with p900 i used to have to re pair the two almost every time i switched blutooth on
im now using jabra bt 800
excellent for me and the vibrate feature means you can leave it in pocket and use it as your phone to answer calls rather than getting exec out of its pouch, without walking round all day looking like an extra from star trek voyager or a dixons advert
Ah. Thank you. The Jabra was the one I was looking at as a possible alternative. I think I'll check that out. My husband's bluetooth headset also connected to my xda with no problems at all...so I think it must be the Motorola that's the problem. Maybe it's an earlier Bluetooth version or something...
I'm also using Jabra BT 800 and it's working fine with me till now.
I believe it's the best blue tooth head set we can ever use with universal.
Regards,
Unfortunately, I couldn't get a Jabra this afternoon, so I got a Bluetrek G2, and that works fine with it. So long as I can be handsfree in the car and do voice-dialling, I'm happy!
hey guys. i recently bought a motorola hs820 bluetooth headset. now i m tryin to connect it to my exec but it never discovers it. unfortunately right now i do not hav access to another headset so i cant check the settings. the normal bluetooth settings on the exec look fine. plz advice...
thanks
This is my first post on this great fourm... guess that makes me a noob. lol
I have the O2 xda exec
rom:1.30.107wwe 4-11-06,
radio:1.09.00,
extrom:1.30.162wwe
SPB pocket Plus
Pocket Mec.
Opera
I have tried the Samsung Wep200, and the Jabra JX10...
Both headsets cut out and crackle if the Exec is in my pocket (same side)
or if im moving around holding the phone in my hand...
the only time they are usable is in the car with the phone still in the center console/
Anyone having any luck with bluetooth and the Exec in real world application?
Or is it inherent in the headsets I have tried? (tiny ones)
IF so, what headsets are working with good conectivity?
I dont need to leave my phone 30 feet away and walk around, but I want to be able to leave the exec in my pocket and use BT///
Also, are any BT headsets working with WM5's voice dialer? neither or the two I mentioned would///?
Thanks,

The Pulsar 590A works OK as a phone headset with the Uni.
Note that you won't enjoy the A2DP sound "quality" of the MS BT stack with the 590A.
Seems big to lug for just a phone headset...

I m so disappointed!
I hone a SPV C500 since 2 years, last week I bought a stereo Bluetooth Headset Samsung SBH 100.
I succeed to connect my bluetooth devices with my phone, it’s working why the voice.
But to play the Mp3 on my headset, I installed Bt AudioToggle, and now I have a very very bad sound on my headset.
Is it possible to upgrade something or do I need to change my mobile ?
Please help me!
Thanks
Capjulio
Bt AudioToggle is a hack that sends all audio to bluetooth the same thing happen to my HTC wizard when using this but when using the A2DP profile the sound is great. I dont think they have A2DP for WM2003 SE but if you get it to WM5 maybe there is a chance you can get it to work.
Can u post Bt AudioToggle or a link i can seem to find it for smartphone.
Hi,
i bought a Samsung SBH100 BT headset, works fine with my Asus P535, but on the headset just only volume buttons working FF and play/stop don't do anything. I use CorePlayer (TCMP) on the PDA.
What I do wrong?
Please help!

U can try change the regedit
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2DP\Settings]
"MaxSupportedBitPool"=dword:78
"BitPool"=dword:40
"UseJointStereo"=dword:0
"Samplerate"=dword:48000
