Dear All,
I've been searching to find a solution to this for 2 weeks now, there are some posts i have read whole forum almost, nothing seems to work.
I think it has nothing to do with what kind of bluetooth headset you have, there should be a program which should transfer audio from sound card of the Mda to the integrated phone inside this device.
Could someone describe how can we achieve this? It is very convenient to listen to audiobooks (if you think why would someone need mono listening)
I'm also willing to pay for this help.
Greetings,
Devrim

my config: MDA (Dutch) wMobileSE 2.06 4.21.1088 with Jabra BT250
i tried to install widcomm, but it doesn't work.
Unfortunately we were the recipients of a beautiful piece of hardware that was released with a "non standard" bluetooth implementation. I have read peoples claims that this is possible, but, I am yet to experience a working solution.
RE
Hi!
Widcomm does not support bluetooth headset at the moment although the headset can be paired with your PPC ie. no sound recieved from your headset.
One way out is to listen MP3 from your PC/laptop which is possible through your headset, however, you'll have to get thre right dongle.
As for listening MP3 from my O2 XDA II through my iPHONO bluetooth headphone I had Widcomm + the High Quality Audio Profile installed. The sound was crappy with occasional split second interruption to the sound playback.
So much so for the current bluetooth technology for listening to MP3 playback on my O2 XDA II
how did you install widcomm and deactivated ms stack?
plus, iphono thingie has no microphone, hence i'll have to have two bluetooth headsets... not convenient...
thanks,
RE
Well, if you make a search for Widcomm there're many threads on this subject.
Read all of them and you'll be able to find your answers
Even the new Broadcom stack Build 3500 for XDA IIs does not support the mp3 playback on BT headsets.
The unofficial upgrade which adds hi quality BT headset profile, I still doubt it can do it coz the Audio Gateway preference is not listed. Damn

I had install the Widcomm BT stack, it is not working. There was no sound in the bt earpiece (mine is HBH-65) although it was paired with xdaII. The worst is it mess up the function for normal phone talking. I can listern the voice from caller but they cannot listern to my voice during phone call.
the xdaII can't get back to normal until a hard reset. Would you please tell me how to get the earpiece work ?
Hi,
the unofficial upgrade is working, I just got a pair of HP headphones, it's awesome. Just be sure your headphones support A2DP, regular headsets won't do it.

Nice one Mp3's over blue tooth. Any chance of a simple walk through on how to do it and the files needed?

I have this HP device but can not install it.
Bummer..
Widcomm BT Stack on XDAII...
HP BT stereo headphones does work with XDAII (myself and few friends have been using it for a while now). You will need to install Widcomm BT stack (1.0.0.3500 or 1.5.0.2000, or the one that have High Quality Audio Profile) though.
However, you will loose Bluetooth Headset profile if you install Widcomm BT Stack. Apparently BT headset does not work with Widcomm stack on XDAII yet. I've managed to get the headset detects incoming calls, take calls, but still no sound coming out from the headset yet. Still trying...
Interesting. Will check it out and reply.
This is my experience using a HP bluetooth stereo headphone bonded with an O2 xdaII. I use Wincom 1.5 Build 2000 from "dtktvu". So far the setup has worked very well. After having used the setup for three weeks, my impression is as follows:
1. Connection with headset is very stable
2. Stereo sound is clear, quality is quite superb really.
3. So far this setup works only for music, it does not work together with bluetooth headsets (if you happen to have one). This means that you can not use your headset at all while using the headphone.
4. The only inconvenience is that if there is an incoming call during song playback, the music pauses but there is not any other audio warning. On the screen you do get a warning that there is an incoming call, though. So in my case, while I listen to music, if I hear a sudden pause then I know that there is an incoming call and act accordingly. Now, let us come to the next point....
5. You have to use Windows Media Player as the player for point 4 to happen. I am not sure how the setup will react to incoming calls with other players such as Winamp, GS Player etc..
6. Battery life is quite good. I get about 6-7 hours of playtime from the headphone.
Now, if only someone will update this Wincom Driver further so that it can work together with bluetooth headsets, then we will have the best of both worlds... Maybe donations from potential users to provide incentive to some expert out there.

Widcom on XDA II without Windows Mobile SE?
I would also like to use the HP bluetooth headset. I have a XDA II (not IIs). Will the Widdcom stack install on this? I am currently not running Windows Mobile SE.
Many thanks.

Try MS VoiceCommand - in new 1.5 version there is incoming call voice notyfication (normal ring goes at half of the sound level and voice engine reads callers ID) maybe it will go through UR headset.

HP BT stereo headphones with XDAIIi
Hi,
I've read the thread but cannot see any indication of someone using an XDA IIi and the HP BT stereo headphones. Anyone know anything about this particular combination? So far I know the software that comes with the HP BT stereo headphones will not install on the XDA. And without the BT high quality audio profile installed I cannot get past pairing the devices. Any ideas?
Thanks,
R

I am using this combination.
I have HP iPaq BT stereo headset and O2 XDA IIi.
Just did the following.
0 Full backup!
1 Uninstall a GPS software that was using BT Serial Port (GPS tuner, OziExplorer, Russa)
2 Uninstall BT Tools
3 Remove all paired devices
4 Soft reset
6 Install Attached file (warning: with this patch you will not be able to use a HandsFree BT, so if you do not really mind, then continue).
7 Soft Reset
8 In BT manager Find HP Headphones and pair them with password "0000"
9 Start Player and press a cental button on headphones.
10 Then I installed back GPS software and BT Tools.
11 Check thet everithing works fine, make a full backup.

headsets
I have three stereo bluetooth headsets here for testing purposes:
- Logitech Wireless Bluetooth MP3 Headphones for PC (aka Hewlett Packard FA303 or Toshiba PA1831)
- Motorola HT820
- iTech Blueband
I have tested them on my Qtek 9090 (BlueAngel) and they all worked fine. There is not much diffrence in audi quality, the diffrence is more in the comfort of wearing them. Most of my collegues liked the Motorola the most but I prefer the Logitech. The iTech feels a little bit cheap...
More experience and info about stereo bluetooth headset is posted on http://www.robertwebbe.nl/A2DP.html.
Has anyone connected headphones with XDAII? i can't at all( after installing broadcom 1.5 phone cannot call correctly, i can't hear anything(
I have a iMate PDA2k EVDO & iTech BlueBAND headpones. I was able to use use the BT headset to use the phone however as the Broadcom 3500 stack didn't come with a Audio profile I couldn't hear music (mp3s via WM10). I installed Broadcom 3900 stack - can now hear stereo music but the volume on the phone is so low I can bearly hear it. Otherwise my PDA is stock standard Windows 2003 WWE etc. Any suggests? As I am a new owner, I would appreciate the help. Cheers,
Hi
I have recently received a Blue Angel from our mobile provider and it comes with the Bradcom stack 1.0.0.3900.
Does it have A2DP integrated, or I need to install anything to make it compatible? I am interested on a Motorola HT820 headset and i want to make sure it will be compatible...
Broadcom Bluetooth stack for Benq P50
Hi,
Has anyone tried installing the Broadcom Bluetooth stack onto a Benq P50 Window2003 2nd edition? Thanks.

Hi Guys,
I wanna share something i found out a while ago.
I am currently holding on to a Motorola HT820 and a BlueAngel and i was kinda playing around with it wondering why i cannot answer phone calls and only can play my MP3's. Here is the solution.
Install the A2DP Profile
Soft Reset
Pair it up to your BT Stereo headset using high quality audio
now, upgrade to build 3900.
Run the restartradio.exe
run the bt upgrade cab file
run the restartradio.exe
Now, pair it up to bluetooth handsfree headset.
This works wonders. It seems to work best on WMP10. I have tried
Mortplayer but, after i answer calls, it stops playing and does not resume.
For WMP10, it resumes fine. I have only tested on BlueAngel and HT820.
I dont have the luxury to get my hands on other devices as yet.
BT upgrade files found here
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_Bluetooth_1.0.0.3900_Upgrade
A2DP details found
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=25443
ENJOY !!!!
this currently works best on WMP 10
You can continue listening to music after your call ends with mortplayer,
you have to disconnect the pairing and re-pair again..
XDAII and Motorola HT820
Hey guys,
I'm contemplating buying a Motorola HT820 but I'm concerned that it might not work with my phone - I have an XDAII with WM2005 1.60A installed. anyone know anything?
Thanks and best regards...
Hi
This sounds like what I've been waiting for too.....
I have an XDA II running 2003SE will this work with this combo any ideas?
Good one... will try it later
Has anyone tried with Motorola HS 850???
Has anyone tried with Motorola HS 850???
So far, i have not tried it on XDAII... but i think it should work..
Can anyone confirm if this is possiable with an XDA II as having read through numerious threads on the subject of Bluetooth implementation with various Wicomm configurations, but cannot clearly identify that the A2DP Protocol can be successfully made to work on an XDA II.
I suspect that this can only operate on an XDA IIi or XDA IIs. My requirement is to get a set of Motorola HT820 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones to function with my XDA II via Bluetooth, I am not really worried about the Phone Headset function I would just like to hear Audio via Media Player 10.
Thanks
I have just upgraded to 1.40 ROM (iMate) with Orange EXT ROM on M2000. I have radio 1.13 and the A2DP profile loaded.
Everything was working fine with the old ROM and wmp9, but wmp10 does not respond to the pause, back and forward buttons on the ht820.
Does anyone have this working on ht820? Is there a known work around?
Motorola BT820 Audio Gateway and a player
I've followed the steps above and now have the two new profiles and have managed to pair my Motorola BT820's without any problems.
I've read that this works best with WMP10 but since I don't have this I decided to try Mortplayer.
Silly question : How do I get my XDAIIs to send the audio to the headphones ? Their is an outgoing connection between the two but the sound still comes out of the speaker on the XDAIIs.
If a phone call comes in then this is directed up to the BT820's
Help
Jason
i have done over 50 hard resets.. many tries and it seems to be an intermittend prob.
@woodrjh
In this way a HP Bluetooth Headphones and a Motorola HT820 works with my xda IIi in a2dp mode incl. the Buttons in WMP10.
1. remove the RunBT file from the Autostart dir -> softreset
2. Install the PDA2K_BroadcomCorp_BTUpdate.cab -> softreset
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/handheldiPAQ/us/download/22475.html
3. Install the HP iPAQ Bluetooth Stereo Headphones Driver Update -> softreset
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/handheldiPAQ/us/download/22475.html
If the error \windows\btceavif.dll in use come, rename it with Resco File Editor and try again the driver update.
4. Put the the RunBT file back to the Autostart.

Handsfree versus headset
Hi,
I tried and first thing, everything work now as fine as before so a first good point.
Second one problem : my Bluespoon AX is only recognize as a Hands-free and you can only set "Audio redirection" for Headset.
Perhaps some registry work ?
I will continue to investigate

installed it on my JAM... an it runs OK...
some extinsive testing is required however... I'll let you know later
Thank you kevinyang6688

INstalled it but I have no clue how to make it work. Been to the BT settings and everything is there but I have no clue to as it does not detect my my Jabra BT250V.
Will this work in actually turning my Jabra into an audio headset or is it only as phone headset?

Man, you seriously kick a$$! This cab adds A2DP, FTP (successfully sent a series of 3 files to my Magician   ), Audio Gateway (was able to use my laptop as a BT handsfree ), BT Printing Profile... AWESOME!!! Takes MS BT stack to a whole new level
But you could already send files with activesync over bluetooth without this stack (do i suppose ftp service is the same thing). Btw can you acces the files located on your computer from your mini now??? (if yes plz tell me how)
As far as I am concerned, it works but doesn t change anything with my bluetooth headset and voice command, i always don t hear any voice command sound in my bt headset, but then I hear the phone conversation directly in the headset...so nothing has changed.
Would have loved so much to hear and launch voice commands directly from the headset's mic.
But thx anyway! that s a really good thing for us anyway =)
It does work with I-tech S35 Stereo BT Headset
As per subject really...
Just tested this on my 1.12.00 T-Mobile Rom and indeed all audio is indeed being re-directed to my headset. Only 'drawback' is that I can't get it to work with PocketMind Pocket Music- the sound it just muted.
But it works perfectly well with Windows Media Player. Slight hitch with WMP is that I am unable to change the volume on the software or indeed the JAM system volume directly- a minor fault for me since I have a volume control my headset Also the music seems to cut out for a second or so every 7-8 seconds.
Music pauses and restarts when an incoming phone call is received.
A massive thanks goes out kevinyang6688. Cheers mate, I have been wanting this for ages! Thanks again!
Is it possible to get stereo over bluetooth? And which headset should i buy if so?
Thanks
Hi q-big,
Sorry no stereo yet on the K-Jam using a Stereo headset (bluetooth).
I use a Motorolla Bluetooth Stereo headset but the A2DP profile is not supported yet by the K-Jam. There will be an ROM upgrade coming beginning next year including this profile so not yet!
You can use mono for the headset using a tiny switch program somebody on the forum made. Then all sound will be sent to your headset in mono. It is not super but I've been enjoying it since!
Wouter
q-biG = q-biq ;P..
thanks for the answer. then i think i'm gonna wait for the upgrade, mono sucks
