hi,
i have a g4 wizard with it's original rom. i got the a2dp and avrcp working with the a2dp addon from aku 3 rom. quality is good with music playing with pocket music player with no skips using bitpool at 48. im using the itech clip radio. but playing an .avi video with tcpmp the video and audio is out of sync. the video is 320 x 240 res., but the audio is a sec behind. when playing the video using a headphones connect to the phone's plug or just using the speaker it plays fine. i thought it may be the head set, but my other bluetooth stereo headset does the same thing. is the wizard's cpu too slow to run the video and a2dp at the same time?? my wizard is at 240 Mhz.
What worked for me was this:
To fix the problem with audio/video sync you have to:
1) overclock the kjam to 216mhz
2) use TCPMP and go to Options - Settings - Advanced - Manual A/V offset - change it to -450 msec.
With those settings all my video is back in sync.
If you then want to watch video through the inbuilt speakers you have to set the offset back to 0.
The milliseconds might be different for you but it's trial and error.

I want to "cut the cable" and stream audio from my JAMin to a set of lightweight BT headphones while I workout.
I have a JAMin but I have not bought any BT headphones yet.
Primarily I use the Mobile Slingplayer and TCPMP to watch videos (mostly with mono audio).
I have seen the hacks for A2DP but I worry that the processing overhead required for A2DP will kill video performance and also that the Slingplayer and TCPMP don't stream over this profile (from the postings only WMP seems to work?).
Would I at least be able to get mono audio working wirelessly while watching video? Which BT headphones would you recommend for this?
Thanks in advance.
A2DP hack available at this site accept audio stream from any programs. Windows Media Player mentioned as only one program which support remote control functions like Play/Pause, Fwd, Bwd. Prophet performance good enough to watch video with stereo over A2DP. I don’t know about Slingplayer and TCPMP my preference are different, but my experiences with SmartMovie are successful to watch video with stereo audio.
hi all,
can anyone tell me how best to change the settings in PocketPlayer to allow me to use it with bluetooth headphones. At the moment the sound pauses every few seconds and the player itself is unresponsive most of the time, also if i press any button the music stutters, basically its unusable.
so far i have done the following;
with HTCustom, change the bitpool to 40 & normal stereo.
turned off dsp
turned off visualization
turned off equalizer
under the advanced settings there are loads of settings, does changing any of these help? i've tried changing a few with no great success.
Are there any other hacks within WM5 i can apply to get bluetooth stereo working well?
thanks in advance
Get iplay from 40th floor software--uses much fewer resources and sound is great. Also I have done what was recently posted in the hermes forum--delete the bitpool and set usejointstereo to 1 in WM6----sound is great now.
where to download this iplay, evertytime I open the website of this app my email client opens
you can get it from ppcwarez.
i've tried iplay but the problem is still there, though i agree it's less cpu intensive than pocketplayer and the audio clipping has nearly disappeared.
i think i'm going to upgrade to wm6 as it seems to handle bluetooth audio better.
I am in the same situation.
I've concluded that the Trinity has some bug with a2dp or bluetooth, as when you set the bitpool to some decent value, the performance goes down dramatically, even clicking the stylus interrumpts the sound.
As bjrmd stated before, you may try a light player (I'll do), as I've got different results with different players. Pocket Player is by now my best choice, as PocketMusic can't play with the equalizer on.
By the way, I've checked that setting bitpool isn't enough, you may also set MaxSupportedBitpool to the same value (or delete this entry). The higher the value, the slower the Trinity runs.
See some of the other threads regarding WM6 and the correct implementation of joint stereo. To get proper sound and bandwith you must use WM6 and the above settings.
I just bought the jabra 320s bt stereo headset.
I am using tcpmp to watch movies on my trinity , but when I use my jabra the picture does not run fluently, the picture stops and jumps and all the time.
When I use the original headset that came with the trinity the picture runs perfectly.
Is there a way to fix it?
Maybe a different player will run better?

No one???
Did you turn up the bit rate and sample frequency?
I stream audio to my bluetooth carkit and i noticed that when i adjusted the bit rate and sample frequency in the registry to a higher value the media player starts to produce hick-ups in the music. So maybe you could lower the bit rate. Downside is that this will reduce the sound quality.

Those who tried it before, give this another chance.
I have made a modified .cab file (Go to the BOTTOM)
- No 30 seconds limit
- Remote control works ( AVRCP)
- No skipping (Convert all MP3 to 192kbps or less)
NOW ONTO SERIOUS BUSINESS
Normal A2DP causes some hissing, sound deterioration (depending of your bitpool capacity) and hogs the phone's resources making it nearly unusable without having to pause the playback to be able to accomplish something like send a SMS.
Blueplayer has NO DETERIORATION – It uses it’s own special codec / technology
###I wish to know WHAT codec/technology is used by Blueplayer?! :O###
PROOF that Blueplayer uses a “SPECIAL” technology instead of normal A2DP
- INDEPENDENT from WM5 / WM6 A2DP drivers.
#To use Blueplayer, you need to DISCONNECT /UNCHECK the “Wireless stereo” from the phone’s Bluetooth settings (paired devices).
- NOT ALL STEREO HEADSETS CAN BE USED! ( i.Tech R35 for headphones)
WM6 A2DP stream to Laptop PC : WORKS
WM6 A2DP stream to Stereo BT Headphones : WORKS
Blueplayer stream to Laptop PC : DOES NOT WORK
Blueplayer stream to Stereo BT Headphones : WORKS
So, only special hardwares can decode whatever is the technology used by Blueplayer. It's not normal A2DP.
- AUDIO QUALITY TEST
WM6 A2DP stream to Laptop PC : Hissing
(Insanely high BitPool has no effect, and wont do skipping)
Laptop Widcomm BT A2DP to Stereo BT Headphones : Same Hissing
(BitPool can't be changed)
Blueplayer stream to Stereo BT Headphones : AWESOME!!
(skips if above 192kbps, so quality has an impact)
Blueplayer stream to Laptop : DOESNT WORK
BACK TO THE POINT !!!
I wish to know what's that technology.
Why?
Blueplayer is a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE MP3 player. All I care for is the CODEC.
The Blueplayer ITSELF is very difficult to manage.
- To pick a NEW track, you cant just click/tap it. You got to press STOP, then select the track, then press PLAY. (Or use NEXT/PREVIOUS over and over to navigate to it)
- The buttons can only be TAPPED, not clicked, and they are SO TINY that you cant just press them while walking around. You literally got to AIM your fingernail on the button, or use the stylus.
- You cant browse folders by clicking, you got to tap on a TINY TINY (+) to expand folders
- Cant select all subfolders, you got to add each folders individually to the playlist.
- No ID3 support, only a raw file list
etc etc, it's an ugly GUI.
But I want the sweet codec that makes the music sound so great.
OK HERE'S THE FILE!!!
Follow these steps to Pair your BT Headphones with Blueplayer
1 - Delete BT Headphones from your paired devices list in Bluetooth settings
2 - Set your BT headphones in discoverable/pairing mode.
3 - Launch Blueplayer
4 - Tap on "SelectDevice" at the bottom left of the screen
5 - Click on "Refresh" at the bottom middle of the screen
6 - Select your device and press the "ok"
7 - It will ask you to Pair/Add the device (WM6 Bluetooth settings does that)
8 - Once paired, UNCHECK "Wireless Stereo" from the services
9 - In Blueplaye, click on the folder icon near the top/right
10 - Browse for a folder containing directly some MP3 (it will show in the bottom list if it sees the MP3, no sub-folders allowed)
11 - Got to click the "ok" at the bottom left.
12 - Press the tiny tiny tiny "play" button and enjoy.
If you get driver errors, or the music doesnt play in your headphones and the software crashes, you dont have the hardware required to use Blueplayer.
Othewise, ENJOY THE FABULOUS QUALITY STREAMING and the CRAPPY GUI
A2DP supports several CODECs that can be used to transfer the audio over the Bluetooth link.
There is only ONE mandatory codec to support -SBC.
For SBC, normally the sound processing goes like this:
MP3 (source) --WMPlayer--> "decoded WAV" --A2DP--> SBC --wireless--> WAV (Headset)(earphones)
There is another commonly supported codec - MP3. MP3 is a much better codec for sound quality than SBC, but its much more CPU intensive to encode and decode MP3. Most A2DP headsets dont support the MP3 codec, but some (like the i.Tech) do.
My guess is Blueplayer is able to use the MP3 codec for A2DP, if your A2DP headset supports it.
Blueplayer probably does this:
MP3 (source) --Blueplayer A2DP--> MP3 without re-encoding --wireless--> WAV (Headset)
(Sorry to post in a new post - the edit post doesnt work for me using Firefox 3.)
One thing about using the MP3 codec in A2DP is that the player probably cannot do changes to the sound (no volume control, equalizer/bass boost, etc.) without having a huge impact on CPU load.
So essentially what you get is almost the raw MP3 file being streamed wirelessly using A2DP to the headset to decode. Which is a very good way to preserve the sound quality of the MP3 file.
Good find though, I'm glad to see a WM MP3 player that actually supports the MP3 codec for A2DP.
My issue is that blueplayer has a horrible GUI. While it is a great concept to stream the MP3 without reencoding, it's just... horrible.
I've always wondered why a lot of A2DP headsets can decode MP3 directly, yet there are NO software players that take advantage of it other than blueplayer.
does it work on wm smartphone
Heyho,
I noticed a really annoying problem the other day when I was watching an episode of The Mentalist on the bus.
First of all a list of what I used when the problem occured
- X1i flashed with Itje's Touch-IT Xperience 3.01.
- Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800 Bluetooth headset
- A 230mb 45-minute 800x480 h.264 video file, packed in an mp4 at 500kb/s.
The problem that occured is that when my bluetooth headset was connected (and playing the audio), the video would lag like hell, e.g. 1 fps or less.
When I disconnected the bluetooth headset and used my wired 3.5mm jack headset, there was not a problem at all!
How do I fix this!?
the same thing happens when i use my hbh-ds980 for watching videos..
what i did to resolve this issue was to use the Super video convertor by eRightSoft (freeware) and convert my videos to MP4 with the "Hi Quality" and "Top Quality" boxes checked in the Video options. so even if i convert videos at 23 fps at 800x480 resolution, video and audio play smoothly through A2DP.
Happens to me too, I use the Motorola SoundPilot S705 and with bluetooth headsets the video lags, while with wired headset quite smooth.
I watch Divx video encoded for PC playback with coreplayer...
update:
Does this has anything to do with the issue? the bluetooth audio bitpool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3024995&postcount=7
i will try tonight when i get home.
I will test those advanced config settings and see what it does.
Sounds fine now, but doesn't fix my problem. Who can tell me more?

What is "Fine" now? better sound? did you reduce o increase the bitpool?
I increased the bitpool and I feel the sound is better, less crackly. Still, it's not the answer to my prying question.
Hallo,
I have the same problem after download norti roms nX1i v1.03 and 1.03 Did you solve it?

Nope, haven't found a fix yet. It's still too slow. Nobody had an answer..
did you ever figure this out?
i just bought a bluetooth headset (jabra bt3030) and i thought id give it a try with my x1a running the orignal rom, software version r1aa021 / customization version R2A.
As for my experience, i dont have any video lag using dvd movies converted at 640x320 768kbps/64 kbps audio and other videos converted at 480 x 320 500kbps/64 kpbs audio. movies were converted using super and also nero recode 2 and played using the media player and also the panel media player.
the only problem i have encountered once in while when starting a movie is the audio would be out of sync. the remedy that i found out for this is to pause the video and then push play again, then everything audio and video is synched up. i think it has more to do with the bluetooth, phone or headset, i dont know which but i figure this because when i start my movie, the movie starts before my bluetooth headset would like click on and start to play the audio.
i see you are using a customized rom, do you think that could be part of the problem? too high of a resolution? i didnt notice much of resolution difference between video converted at 800 x 400 and 640 x 320, 480 x ??? at the same kpbs. then again im not a big hd buff and my eyes arent as sharp as others. the smaller resolution played just as well in full screen mode. i think nero recode 2 does a pretty good job at converting videos, a lot quicker than using super and i got nero free with the cheap dvd writer i bought.
hope you got it figured out but if not, hope this helps others.
im using Nokia BH-503 stereoheadset im not having problems regarding to bluetooth and lags.
im using windows media player and of course i convert the video files to smaller resolution like 480x260.
also tried playing 800x600 but acceptable lags like every 15mins lags for lessthan 1 secs with bluetooth headset.
also try to end background task in your phone like antivirus, skype, etc... it might affect the performance of your phone.
U can use Core Player and there is an option to adjust the time synchronization between video and audio.
I've had these problems whilst playing x264 encoded files. I think that they just suck too much CPU power. It's not that the video and audio desynced or anything. It just had a really low fps! (like 3~4)
