Blackberry Connect and the Tytn - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

My company wants to get me a blackberry. I want my Hermes dammit! I searched the wiki and for posts here but I have seen nothing encouraging. If I can talk them into using Cingular or T-mobile can I make BBC work with my 8525? Also, how?

Blackberry on the Wizard?

Now that I read the other post about the Blackberry Connect software being available in German for the T-Mobile MDA, I was wondering.. is there a way to get the Blackberry Connect software from lets say.. the O2 XDA onto an HTC Wizard? I would love to somehow get Blackberry functionality on my Cingular 8125.

Cingular 8125 and Blackberry Connect

There is allot of stuff floating around so I am hoping to consolidate it as much as possible.
If you are using an 8125 and have BB Connect working please resond with information on ROM versions and the steps you have taken to get BB Connect working.
If you have been unsuccessful with your 8125 and BB Connect Please respond likewise.
Thanks

While there has been a lot of stuff, most of the real info has been in a single thread - I recommend taking the time to read it rather than having this thread turn into a duplicate - see http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=32087&highlight=blackberry+8125
(found easily by doing a search of 8125 and blackberry in the Wizard grouping...)
Moral of the story - you'll find that there is a good combination of blackberry connect software and an 8125 ROM (although many people have found lackluster performance) - and, in any event, I haven't seen anything yet that says that people have been succesful with this combination on Cingular.
Enjoy.

Cingular 8525? Worth it?

Well im back here again after a month or two and soon i will be eligible to upgrade my phone with cingular..
i noticed the 8525 is available now and looks nice... Is the 8525 still considered a wizard? Will all the same apps work? I didnt notice a section specifically for the 8525 so i was just wondering?
thanks
The 8525 is the Hermes aka HTC TyTN.
Both the 8125 and the 8525 are WM5 devices and will run the same software.
For further information, check the Hermes forums
IMO, the 8525 is only worth it if you live in a 3G area.
As soon as 3G comes to where I'm living, I'll be making the upgrade

Getting Blackberry connect to work on 8525

im trying to get blackberry connect to work on a cingular 8525 which currently has the stock 1.34.502.1. I installed blackberry connect (which i found on this forum), however, it keeps saying service:stopped and PIN: Pending. I have seen these errors in a few searches on this forum, so im thinking its the rom? ive found the rom RUU_HER_CINGULAR_2.06.502.3_1.34.00.10_SPL1.04, will that work with blackberry connect? Or could it be a problem with the plan? The plan on this device has the $30 blackberry service. The phone before the 8525 being used on this account was a blackberry which worked perfect with push email.
ps, ide like to appologize, i know there is lots of information on this topic and normally i would search and find all my own answers, however, i am home from school and my friend got an 8525 and desperatly needs to get blackberry connect working, however, i have to go home tonight. thats why im posting for a quick answer, since there is so much to search through and read.
Thanks in advance
